  • you seem very angry...valerian tea is great for relaxing..try some the do a review on it..

    good luck. :-)

  • Yeah, nice. Way to appear cool and downright awesome on screen. It wouldn't surprise me if that's just your grandparents' basement you put decorations in, so it looks like a garage. What, people should take you seriously? You set up a "garage" to call your rant room for the sole purpose of mass-PMS'ing over relatively insignificant matters. You think screaming at a camera all alone in a room makes a good video? Try recording your yelling at those guys directly. Go lose weight.

  • It sucks for the retail/customer service rep selling this crap. Most of us know this is a crap deal, but your job sometimes depends on how much extra shit you sell with the original purchase. Call center reps actually get measured on how much they sell or upsell the customers calling in. If you're sick of tactics like this, start writing to the corporate offices. Your dollar has power. The power is yours!

  • have you ever thought about doing a rant room 4 based on the irate gamer

  • no offense but hellsing920 sucks simply because he lacks the energy that you filmnstuff and the avgn have when you guys rant about random stuff

  • the first time i watched this video i thought i was gonna die of a heart attack laughing so hard.

  • I think someone forgot to take his medication.

But agreed, it is bloody annoying.

No I don't want fries, double up, go large, extra warranty, an extra shot in my coffee, spray protector, polish, cakes, piece of toast. Hell, now I'm mad!! If I wanted it I'd have fuckin asked for it you fuckin till jockey. Stop trying to catch me out. AHHHGH!!!!

  • LMAO

  • I just bought a computer a while ago, they where trying up sell some plan of theirs, of course i didn't buy the computer a week later I go to buy it, except this time it had a $100 discount (it was costco what do you expect) and the plan was if we bought it with a discover card the warranty would last 2 years longer. Normally I wouldn't care, but I was going to use my discover card anyway. So hooray I got I think a 4 year warranty, but Im probably not going to use it the slightest bit

  • What's with the retards in these responses? I agree. Brain-dead college dropouts and losers being brainwashed to upsell because they suck at life is ANNOYING. I would LOVE to curse at their face just to tell them to shove it up their ass because I'm a stingy asshole or whatever they would come back at me with but I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR BEST BUY RETARD GEEK SQUAD or (insert suck-ass service warranty, crap product, etc).

  • still best video on the internet

  • They just looking for suckers.(People that don't know much about electronics).

  • Here's a good anti-vrius software: Bullguard. Also, at the end, you sounded like a black guy in slow motion XD

[No offense to any black people]

  • Well said!!

    5/5 :)

    Sak

  • you are good at ranting good sir

  • "no it's a regular cardit card"

"then why the fuck do i need it for shit!" HAHAHAHA

  • LOL well played.

Extended warranty. How could I lose?

  • Here's the shit about WORST BUY though. They make you work LIKE you make commission BUT YOU DON'T. It's just like GAME SHIT. I loathe buying stuff from places like this but if it's cheaper than elsewhere i.e. amazon, ebay, overstock, google shopping, you name it (and rarely it is) now I gotta make sure I give off the right vibe to shut up the cashier. How about I say "sure but guess what, I want that bitch instead of you to ring me up and get the comp marks".

  • No offense, but often times in sales jobs, upselling is how you actually make your money. Often times what people come in looking for has nearly no profit margin, and therefore very little commission for the salesperson. Where as just about any accessory, nets you more than the product itself. So, yes, it's annoying, but something that most salespeople have to at least try to do.

  • yeah it's like when ever i got see a movie and try to buy a medium popcorn and they're like " would you like a super combo for just 2 dollars more?" and im like "no goddamnit!!! I want a medium popcorn!!" it's so annoying

  • Dude where you from?

  • This guy's pissed..

  • Now I see where Bruce gets his talking skills lol.

  • SHIT! LOL

  • shit

  • hahhahah "that's what I fucking thought!" hahah Awesome Vid.

  • well ye, but thats what you get when money is our god

  • Is it common for you to say the wrong thing everynow and then?

  • I laughed when you called the salesman out for selling broken products. One of my coworkers was trying to sell an Xbox 360 plan and he mentioned something about high failure rates. The lady buying the thing immediately changed her mind and walked out of the store. It was so damn funny.

In the vid you said they don't sell 360 plans. Actually we do. We charge you $90 and we send it to Microsoft instead of you. Yeah, it's a scam.

  • Aaaaaaaaah YES!

    I love the anger...

    + This is rant100% TRUE

  • fuckin sweet... 360 replacement plan is nice though. that plan keeps paying off...

  • lol, this was a GOOOD rant!!

  • i love the way you swear. it puts emphasis on your points:)

  • What do you think of Dell's Warranties. They gave me a 3 year replacement warranty against Accidental breakage or theft for $150. But it was Dell themselves, and the way they phrased it, it sounded like insurance. This was Dell themselves, not a store.

  • If I were buying a laptop from them from their website, I would not buy their extended warranty or whatever it is that they're selling.

  • Good sir; this rant earned you a sub.

    Rofl.

  • i love this rant, please make more, when you feel a need to vent off.

  • great rant

    the 360 sucks

  • How do you feel? Better I bet.

  • And I thought used car salesmen were bad.

  • It's true that XBOX360's were unreliable

The new 'Jasper' ones don't have the crappy solder-related RROD issue though

  • Wow, this is like the most pissed off you've ever been on your channel. Not even the shittiest of games make you fumble your words.

  • At our local electronics store they allways try to sell me some insurances. For my iPod, for my TV even for my router!

  • What greed? And I'll bitch if I want to, with or without your approval.

  • Well you wanted to buy that stupid Laptop. Thats what you get for punishment. Asshole

  • No, you're just too dumb to realize that shopping does not constitute greed, and it was their greed not mine. Maybe when you grow a brain you'll figure that out. Be gone now you worthless troll.

  • Are stores this desperate to get rid of stock by upselling products up our arse? I Bet they want to shove their products down our throats don't they?

  • Yes, I hate it when people argue with me about buying more shit. I stop them and say, "Are you arguing with me about what i should spend my money on? Perhaps I should talk to your manager. What do you think?" Fail.

  • Great fucking rant. I like warrantys, It seems not needed on a computer, But on a console it wouldn't be so bad.

  • Did you know that Fry's advertising methods have also gone under heavy fire. In 2003, actors Denzel Washington, Bruce Willis and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger sued Fry's for $10 million each for posting their images on television sets on their print ads and flyers without permission>

  • BAM!!!! yeah thats what I thought! you a angry mofo.

  • Totally agree though, When I bought a PS2 on launch day, I declined a warranty and the store seller called me crazy behind my back, I almost punched the guy!!!

But what also fucks me off about these warranties that they sell is that they run in tandem with the 18 month warranty the manufacturer legally has to offer anyway, so you automatically lose out on a year and a half paying for it the day of purchase!!!

  • Well not that i condone replacement plan purchasing. but at toys r us. your plan actually starts after the manufacturers. which causes different complications for peopel that just want to go through toys r us

  • Rant Room?

Shouldn't it be the Gripe Garage? :D

  • haha maybe!

  • Whats a Fry's Card?

  • It's a store credit card that they constantly push.

  • 2 things I wish to ask

    1) Whens your next rant?

    2) Is there anything on the PS3 that you dislike?

  • 1) Don't know

    2) price

  • over expensive "plans" r bullshit, ill just have the return in 30 days or w/e if it broke or i don't like it TYVM, the only thing i usaly want is the computer, maybe a game, and all the stuff that come with the computer i have everything else i need

  • Yeah, they get payed more if they sell you that "bullshit" tough, so it all makes sense in context

  • and the replacement plan and credit card. dont get mad at the employees. its their job to "hound your ass" with these useless add ons. but exploding on them doesnt solve anything.

  • I don't explode on them and I know it's their job to do what they do just like it's a telemarketer's job to call you and bug you (unless you enjoy hearing from them) but it's still annoying.

  • most of this can be answered with 1 response. that is You Are A Minority. not everyone is computer savvy like you.

  • Really? So that explains why people get a Fry's card or a replacement plan for a PS3? Because they aren't computer savvy? No. This rant is about upselling, not buying computer warranties or paying some techie to install anti-virus software. Upselling goes way beyond the examples I cited.

  • When I worked in EB, we had people so unsavvy with computers, we had some guy with his elderly mother come to the store, who refused to come in incase she caught a virus off one of the computers. and that seriously isn't a joke!!!

  • The joys of online shopping. No dealing with any of this.

  • Steve, on the subject of hard drives, what do you think about Carbonite?

  • Looks like a good idea. At a previous job, there was a problem with harddrive crashes so I know all too well the importance of backing up. I was put in charge of providing a solution and my team developed an internal solution with rsync with backed up our stuff to another server in the department. I personally wouldn't use Carbonite since as a tech guru, I'm more apt to build my own backup server, hehe.

  • Seems all similar stores do this. Future shop has its "extended warranty" and its essentially the same thing. The employees there even do the same thing as in trying to depict the device's flaws to convince you to get the warranty just in case. Let's face it, commission is BAD customer service.

  • Good rant, Some idiot tried to sell me a cellphone when I wasn't even there to get one in the first place.

  • Man, you're really fired up here!

  • I remember Best Buy trying to sell me a 20 dollar plan on something that cost less then 5 dollars! Who the hell in their right mind would buy that?

  • yea, Frys is relentless. I used to work there and it is full of A-Holes

  • So true.....

  • Let it out bro..that was informative and funny ;)

  • Great rant man!!!

  • Lol omg Steve XD

That has only happened to me when I bought my laptop and games, fudging bastards >: (

  • Blimey, that rant was full-on!

  • After seeing the end. I take it you hate Gamestop and their hounding for their cards and other shit. At least you start to get your value back after you buy 200 dollars of used games as well as free toilet paper in the form of a worthless magazine.

  • Well said!

  • Extended Warranties are often the worst upsell. They also happen to be where the electronic places get their highest profit margin for.

  • Dude, I bought my PC

yesterday I wanted the PC, i custom-built the parts. The tried to sell me all this fucking anti-virus shit and a monitor which I didnt need. All true and well said 5/5

  • I didnt custom-build the parts I picked out the parts and they put it together xD

  • Soooooo True!

  • Just buy your stuff online: better prices, less problems.

  • SilentSpring777, I completely agree with you. I buy most my games and electronics online now, especially since most sites offer free shipping for most of their purchases. Plus, online it's really easy to find games cheaper than full price with free shipping, even on its release date.

  • But if something goes bad, RMA is a BITCH. I had a DOA motherboard from Newegg. Not only did I have to pay out of my pocket to ship it back, the restocking fee resulted in less return to my banking account.

Only after I bitched at them a bit did they bother to give me full RMA value, but the shipping was still at my expense (I believe 17 dollars).

I went to a nearby store that doesn't do a lot of this bullshit and got another motherboard that didn't work. They simply gave me a new one

  • right then and there with only the price of fuel and time (which was also wasted at the UPS store in the other case) being a cost. Shopping online has its share of nightmares too.

  • good point, yo.
