  • dude this totally works.. just let the computer sit for 24hrs... i did on the first try .. thanks

  • hello not you move, but is supposed to disconnect the battery

cmos connector cable with a red and black and leave it for several hours and

still gives me the same problem, the power-on password can help me

explain it in the video thanks

  • It works, thanks!

  • you dont talk or what?

  • Dude can you hook me up with a favor ? I have the same laptop and I noticed you took off the monitor. can you shoot me a email or video on how to disassembe it. Thanks.

  • stupid video

  • To begin, it helps to remove the keyboard (tabs & 3 screws on bottom). The power button panel pops off (kind of scary to do the 1st time) by pulling up from the sides (no screws), and you don't need to detach the monitor. The guy is disconnecting a two-wire (blk/red) plug that is connected to the BIOS/RTC battery. Leave unplugged for 5 minutes (this will work on other laptops too), then connect only the AC power in (both AC and Battery pack should already have been removed). BIOS is reset.

  • @808jpj thanks alot bro and thank u for this video

  • I have got hp 6730b laptop i have got problem with it bios password cant use it anymore can anyone help to unlock the bios password

    thanks

  • hey man i rented a laptop but they locked it on me can you tell me how to unlock it

  • I can unlock dv2000 , but its not free

  • hi! I have HP dv2000 notebook and bios is locked with a password. On entering 3 times wrong password, I get a message "system disabled 06961"..

can you help me to resolve this problem?

    yhank you! in advance

  • Are you or anyone else with rejection codes willing to pay for unlocking codes?

I have a facilty to provide release codes

  • @tubey1 how much do you charge and what is the guarrantee?

  • I had an HP nx9420 and it contains a password bios .. j'ais removes pille BIOS but I not remove the password ... s v p help me

  • Buddy, sorry, I did the whole procedure that you describe before, the only problem that I found was that I pass the power on password but still my computer is asking me for an Administrator password, seem to me that my laptop got both Power on password and Admon password.

In your sample the computer pass ´cause you have only the Power on Password, can you give a hand on that..thks

  • this works by adminpassword and by power on password when stringent security is disable!!

  • @Fsaba208 hi if ur still having problems with the administrator password then do these steps,

    1.thurn on pc,

2.hold down f8 (may be different to some pcs.)

    3. click safe mode,

    4. load the pc up,

    5. press start (still in safe mode)

    6. go to accounts in control panel.

    7. change it from there

    hope this helps

  • @spurs4life08

The admin password he is speaking of is not in windows, it's the bios password. There is a power on password, but in order to change bios settings there is an admin password as well. Clearing the cmos should reset it. However if the procedure didn't work for you then the password isn't stored in volatile memory and a simple cmos drain will work. It's cheaper and simpler to buy a replacement logic board for $40 than hours using solder joints to attempt to reset the bios.

  • Friend, thank you very much for your publication, I have same laptop and realize the steps that you described and still the message of power on password, which I would like to help.
