I saw him earlier that same summer open for Skynyrd in Atlanta. He had a younger sister and brother in his band and his Uncle Butch. Blew the roof of the Fox Theater at 13. Simply amazing. Even better today. Crazy thing is there are videos of him playing in clubs as young as age 9!
