Bravissimi.
A delightful performance of a wonderful piece of music. Interestingly, the castanets player seems to be a classical percussionist rather than a flamenco dancer.
It's an excelent song, it has variety in the fellings that express. Boccherini was more spanish because he lived most of his life in spain, working for the Kings
What a lovely piece of chamber music. I doubt the castanets were a part of the original composition but they definately add some fire to this already very lively divertion.
BRAVO!BRAVO!BRAVO! As much as I love listening to this played by Pepe Romero and Academy of St Martin, this video adds so much more enjoyment to the piece. WOW X&)
thanks to you tube , for this magnificent quintet + bringing me music I could not have found another way. Pity I live in a small village where this will never be seen or heart
Beautiful performance - it gives juice to the Spanish term "maja" (female macho) once more, thanks to the castagnet lady... You really got the spirit, folks! You belong to the happy few.
I've danced this piece in South America with the Ballet Nacional de colombia....Choreography by maestro Ugo Dell'ara from La Scala Milan...It was gorgeous piece to dance to....Thank you for posting it...!
I am obsessed with this particular production/recording of Boccherini's Fandango. I listen to it every time I sit down to write. I figured it's about time I expressed my appreciation. I follow it's beautiful rhythm and tempo as I write. Well done. Bravo. Bravo!
This is a great "gateway" piece to introduce Boccherini's music. Both he & Vivaldi died destitute in old age, but both wrote some of the most joyous music I've ever heard! Try other pieces by Boccherini as well: he is amazing!
I would fly from the U.S. to anywhere to see this group perform - especially this opus! I think Roque Banos adapted this the Saura film "Goya in Bordeaux"

Fine musicians, but it is very hard to hear the guitar. The strings really need to lay back through most of this.

If the cello player wasn't in his own little world too much, this would have been a very good performance...

Less page turning & more castanets & some dancing would make this wonderful piece even more spectacular & enjoyable..
