Does everybody here really live in Lithuania? I don't so I can't insert my culture into theirs. Maybe there is a big problem with pedestrians being killed or local commerce is disrupted by these lawless thugs and this is how their people deal with dangers to their own society. Maybe human life is inexpensive in that nation and it's more efficient to handle crime with a stone face and an iron fist. Maybe the officer thought he would stop.
This is attempted pre-meditated murder, and should be treated as such, this cop is a criminal, and should be prosecuted. Loss of job is the least of what should have happened. I hope the biker sues for millions and gets it. The taxpayers will have to pay the biker for his injuries, pain and suffering, and disability, and should put political pressure on their officials for this.

Cops could aim a camera to catch license plates then have another car down the road with its lights on to catch the bikes. Even if bike gets away, they track it with the plate info.

A classic example of stupid policing. In most countries he would simply radio ahead and 300 M up teh road cops would make a road block and stop the biker, or his number plate would be noted by the officer who would then issue a court summons or fine. This shows complete over reaction from a very immature police officer. In my visits to Lithuania I have found Lithuanian Police OK and not seen such unprofessional action like this

Cops could aim a camera to catch license plates then have another car down the road with its lights on to catch the bikes. Even if bike gets away, they track it with the plate info.
The way this was incorrectly done in the video is the same as cops pulling a trailer across the road. Anyone who hits it must be doing wrong according to the cops.

Quite simply, the biker was breaking the law and the policeman (doing his duty) stopped the little bastard before he hurt any innocent civilian. I would of liked to see the officer break out his smith & weston and shoot the bastard. To many lawbreakers in our society whinge and whine when the police bring them to book, Basically, if you dont agree with the way the police work, emigrate or dont break the law.I find that all the people who moan about the authorities are druggies&dole scroungers!

In this video, you clearly hear the police car squeal its tyres in an attempt to pull out quickly. This may be interpreted as to show malicious intent on the part of the police officer in control and custody of the police vehicle. Technically, this could constitute murder, or at least manslaughter. I hope he got what he deserved via a jury of his peers. The officer's severe lack of judgment demonstrates a dire unsuitability for his position.
