The issue is the "evidence" you talk of in the archaeological records predates events that occur in the Bible. The Bible talks of great floods, but guess what, those stories are mentioned in Gilgamesh, which predates the Bible by a good thousand years or so. There's the issue. @abusehater101 No you really can't, the only thing/s jesus abolished was sacrificial laws. Jesus performed the final sacrifice. You don't need to sacrifice blood to your god anymore, that was the ONLY thing Jesus exempted. You can't eat pork, you can't wear mixed fabrics, you have to stone unruly children, women still have to marry their rapists. None of these laws have been abolished or exempt by Jesus. Just like the 10 commandments haven't been abolished. You can't pick and chose!

He created hell, he created the rules by which you do or do not go to hell, and he is the ONLY judge of whether you go or not. Saying "we" send ourselves to hell is like blaming the holocaust on the jews. Ridiculous.
And the god says hell is eternal torture, the modern claim that it isn't is just PR

@OPE08 We rebelled after he created us. Which is why he gave us all of the punishment we have. God didn't create hell... God sent Satan away from him (Separation of God) Hell was made by satan. When we CHOOSE not to follow and look to God WE DO send ourselves to hell. What do you mean by it isn't just PR?

@OPE08 Satan turned against God and THEN created Hell. He then manipulated people into believing all of his evil ways and lies. All Hell is, is separation from God. Nothing else. And since God is perfect and everything away from him is lies and torture, Hell is torture. God sends us there when we decide to follow satan instead of him. Why would he want us to be his children in Heaven if all we wanted to do on Earth is follow satan?

But even if that were okay, I would at least appreciate him to show himself and make it obvious that he's there. Invoking some authors in the dessert over 2000 years ago to write about him doesn't really cut it as evidence. How do I know he's more real than the other thousands of deities?

You still get sent to Hell by god for not believing in him. And BTW, God COULD have just told Satan to shut his mouth and be a good boy (he is GOD after all) but instead chose to allow Satan to go crazy and went to war with him. And I know he didn't want spiritual rape, but he could have just had another deity of sorts in his own version of heaven who believes in different virtues instead of leaving us with the choice of of himself and a horrible, evil monster.
