My mother loved Gene Ammons and had most of his albums. i'm ever so grateful and appreciative that his sound permeated our house and my soul in my young growing years. The soul, truth, flavor and preciseness of all those great seasoned jazz musicians are guided by the good vibrations of God. Amen.
I love this man's music! I remember one time he was talking to some fellow musicians and referring to his saxophone, he said he was going to "say" this and "say" that as though he were just talking thru his instrument. Tremendous heart and soul. This comes out through his playing and that saxophone is Gene Ammons communicating with us. Thank you for post JckDupp.
Gene Ammons is always good.On the other hand recordings of almost all of his albums are very good,so are the musicians he is playing with.God bless all of them.
