  • Have ya ever fig out what the microchip is for ? Im thinking it contains info from owner/ buyer.

  • @Vapornator Yes it is an information chip. It doesn't transmit. But it can be read by a reader. So if one is close it will pick it up.

  • Thank you - this is exactly the comparison info I wanted to know.

  • Officer navyman8903, 1 last q man, the overall shape of the USP 45 seems similar to the full size S&W M&P. Will both pistols fit in the same paddle holster from blackhawk or itac defense? The trigger guard, slide length & width seem close, so yeah..?

  • Which one was which again?

  • @FaganRoberts USP 45 is on the Left, and the HK45 is on the right. You can tell the HK45 from the USP with the 1913 rail and molded grip.

  • @navyman8903 Thanks. Carry on.

  • well as long as someone shot a billion rounds through it, I think it's ready for anything.

  • Ah thx x2 man. I don't plan on shooting too much (just having a couple guns for home defense or in case shtf).

  • Thx again navyman. Do u normally carry a Glock 22? Same replacement intervals as the HKs?

  • @homerow45 I have fired the Glock 22, and like it, but I don't carry it. The replacement interval for the Stock recoil assembly for any glock is 3000-5000 rounds as per the manual. You may get more out of that, but I haven't tested it. HK's suggested replacement interval is 12,000-15,000 but people get more out of it. So my advise is to have replacements on hand and when it goes replace it.

  • navyman8903 Sorry if this sounds like a noob question, but on the Usp 45 at what point will the guide rod, or 2 recoil springs need to be replaced? 100k rounds or so?

  • @homerow45 Safe bet is around 50,000ish or when it needs it based on the loads. They run forever, I have heard lots of people getting much more out of them, and sometimes 40,000.

  • just curious, why do you say DAO horrible?

  • @ohshizzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Well it is kinda an over statement. It isn't horrible, but it is kinda heavy and long. After adding the match trigger, it made it perfect. It is all training really. 7lbs isn't that bad for a DA.

  • I'm new to HK''s so forgive a noob question. At the end of your video, why did you say the hk45 will wear out fast than your USP?

  • @wolvee123 The nylon ring of the HK45 is pretty tough, but it won't last as long as the secondary recoil spring in the recoil assembly of the USP 45. Both will go to about 50,000 rounds before you have to worry about them though.

  • so, stupid question: the magazines are not interchangeable?

  • @sasquatch4liffee Nope they are not, the USP mags are too thick.

  • I feel stupid but HK makes the USP dont they?... soooooo whats the difference?

  • @kendalfrazier Yes both pistols are made by HK. The USP is the older more seasoned pistol, that has been made since 1994. The HK45 (that is the model name) was made off of HK's 1911 program to compete in the JCP. They also made the HK45c. That being said, it is kinda the same thing with the HK USPC and the P2000 series. They are very close to the same gun, with small changes. It can get confusing sometimes, but that is how HK does it. Both are amazing pistols, just have small differences.

  • my personal carry is a tactical 45

  • No Comprimise!

  • Ive read that the HK 45 was more intended for the civilian market when they designed it, Ive also heard some horror stories about the reliability of the HK 45, while on the other hand, the USP overall, Ive heard glowing reviews an overwhelming amount of the time, and having shot USPs in 9mm and .45ACP, I would have to agree with many people and say, its a great handgun, though a little pricey, but a great gun nonetheless.

  • @Elc22 you know what, I think I may have gotten a couple things wrong about the HK45 about its design and history. but anyways, very informative video.

  • Ive owned 5 USPs at different times in my life... I love them. Looking to buy another one soon, but now Im torn between the HK45 and the USP... I guess Ill go with whichever one is readily available...

  • @link808ninja I love them both. You really can't lose, They are both great guns that will never let you down. I won't get rid of either of them.

  • @navyman8903 Yeah... I never willingly got rid of mine either... Circumstances outside my control :-S I love my USPs, and they are far more radily available... When I head down to buy it, whichever one is there or, if neither are, which ever one is cheaper... But I am leaning towrds the HK5 after watching this video again :-) LOL

  • hey man dig the vid. i just bought a usp along with another backup 9mm for $500. every1 keeps telling me what a good deal i got lol. do you happen to know if h&k makes any aftermarket stocks? the factory stock is ok but i was jw if you knew. thanks man.

  • I just don't see the need to safety check weapons in videos. We're not in the room you can't shoot us.

  • @alphapie1428 I agree, I saftey check all of my weapons before I touch them anyway. But There are some people out there that get real butt hurt. I kinda got away from it a little bit in my newer vids. It is important to do, but I don't really see the need to keep doing like some people, or racking the slide 30,000 times.

  • @navyman8903 I'm not gonna lie.... I thought they were the exact same gun....

  • @alphapie1428 maybe he's doing it because its a good habit to practice EVERY TIME you pick up a gun.

  • @CaptainPooter I must agree. Its a very good practice imo. Safety first brother.

  • @alphapie1428 always treat a weapon like it's loaded....even if it's not ;) no.1 rule

  • Thanks for the review bro. I'm still torn. I'll probably end up with both like yourself, then see which I end up favoring more. Seems like you have some entertaining vids, so, subscribing. Hoo-yah Navy!

  • @dogshark2007 Thanks. And I really honestly couldn't choose and it is even harder now that I own both. I couldn't leave either behind. It would be very hard for me to pick one. My suggestion is try to hold, point, shoot and see which fits you best if you can. I didn't get to do that I had to buy all of my HK's blind, But I loved every one of them. You really can't go wrong. Good luck, and let me know how it goes.

  • @navyman8903 Well I have a USP9 (Actually it belongs to my girl but it sleeps in my nightstand, hehe) and I really like it. Never had a hiccup, it feels okay in my hand, a lil blocky but not as bad as a Glock (I've owned a G19) Would I be correct in assuming that the grip on the USP.45 will be a tad bigger? I fondled a HK45 at a gun shop and it just melted in my hand. The ergos were phenomenal, but like you said, it doesn't have much of a track record yet. I don't mind the 10 rd capacity.

  • @dogshark2007 The USP45 is a tad bigger than the 40 and 9mm, but I don't really notice it much. My G19 grip is fatter I think to tell you the truth. I know for a fact it is fatter than my 1911, and HK45, but I haven't held the USP and Glock back to back. The HK45 is a rockstar lately, lots of people are loving them. I will never part with mine. And the HK45 is a great weapon to shoot and the controls are faster than a usp IMO, but you can't go wrong with either, I love them both.

  • Why are the barrels somewhat bent?

  • @Piciulous When the slide is locked back the barrels drop out of battery to allow for ease feeding.

  • @navyman8903 Oh, thanks for the quick reply.

  • @Piciulous i bet you dont have a single hangun

  • @wrangleronmickeyts I never claimed I did.

  • :) USP is the AK of hand guns. She likes to get dirty and be abused.

  • Duel weild

  • @scavengertom I might actually do that one day and post it up....

  • I have been in touch with several dealers in my area, I would rather have the USP, info I got was cheapest for the USP .45 full size is 800 and highest is 900.00, andthe hk45 cheapest is 999.00 all the way up to 1100, Good chance I might have a full size usp .45 by the end of the week. I love my glocks, but past few months im really convinced of HK's superiority in the polymer market.

  • @pjicleanair420 Honestly, you can feel the difference. And you can flex a glock frame very easily. The HK frame is much stronger and I think they do more to it honestly. But I am starting to like glocks more that I used to. I think I will own both with very little problem. The only problem with HK's for me, is I can have two glocks for the price of one HK, but imo, an hk will last longer than two glocks, in the long run. IDK, you can't really lose with either. and I love my USP 45 and HK45 both.

  • @navyman8903 agree 100%

  • sexy pistols its a socom without the laser and flashlight and the silencer

  • @twistedmisery666 Kinda yeah. I really do want the Mark 23 still. Maybe one day....

  • @navyman8903 yea me too but idk if they sell it to civilians lol mgs ftw idk how u can make a silencer fo it lol

  • Idk if this question has already been asked or not, but are the USP 45 mags compatible with the HK45?

  • @Ranger4321 Nope and click on the part II link in the video, I go over a lot of things that I missed in this one.

  • @navyman8903 Based on your name, would it be wrong to assume you served in the Navy or perhaps were a Navy SEAL or a Marine?

  • @Thereisnodaddy I am active duty Navy, My rate is Master At arms. But I am no SEAL. I wish, but I am not that badass.

  • @navyman8903 Hey its cool. I always wanted to be in the armed forces so I'm still trying to find out which section I want to go into. At the moment...I'm actually thinking Marines. But I want to complete college first.

  • @Thereisnodaddy Yes, get the 4 year and become an officer, it is better trust me. And make sure you don't rush any choices. Take your time and make the best decision.

  • @navyman8903 I've been trying really hard to make up my mind. Lots of people I know don't want me to go in, even if I were to complete ROTC. I know its something I want to do, though. But I will do my best to make the best decision.

  • Well done video. You didn't spend much time talking about the grip difference. Likes? Dislikes? I've also noticed that the HK45C (the compact) does not have the same "Batman" grip design of the HK45. Seems strange. Finally, I'm left-handed...which appears to be a sin in the world of HK because Variant 2 is impossible to find, and an HK45 ambi safety appears to be an aftermarket accessory only. -- Sluggo II out

  • @sluggoII I actually made a part II video, and next time I come home I am getting the HK45c, so I will keep you updated with that. The video should be done being edited and up soon.

  • im looking at getting into pistol shooting. out of the following what is everyones verdict:

    beretta 92FS, kimber 1911, USP .40, M&P R8, s&w 686.

would really appreciate peoples thoughts on the quality and functionality of these pistols/revolvers if you have experience ;)

  • Whats your rate? Are you an MP?

Also, isn't it a .45 Auto? not sure if that makes a difference....

  • @CodenamREM I am a Master At Arms which is the Navy's MP, and .45 Auto or .45acp, they are the same round.

  • @navyman8903 are the clips (or more commonly known as mags) inter-swappable?

  • @Falloutfan961 Nope, the mags are not interchangeable. The 10 rounders from the HK45, will fit the HK45c though.

  • @navyman8903 dang! oh well, anyways which one do either of them come in a more compacted and low gloss version for carry as a self defense weapon? and more importantly, which is more fun to take to a shooting range!!!

  • @navyman8903 nice video but i was wondering do these hk pistols have a slide that cant rust or corrode because i like glocks because they require little oiling so i was wondering

  • @TheBassGuitarist1 I have never seen that happen. When I clean my guns to put them away, I always leave a nice thin coat of oil on the slide and such. But I have never seen an HK rust.

  • @navyman8903 thanks im in the market :)

  • Whats your rate? Are you an MP?

  • hi its me harrypotterlove rbeen shooting the gun no malfunctions 3 mags and the gun with a case of course

  • @intensevfx1 Sounds good, I am glad you are doing well with it. It will treat you very well, and never let you down, mine have kept kicking no matter what.

  • @navyman8903 yeah and i hope to get a colt

  • I don't like the idea of having computer chips in our guns, I can keep track of my rounds myself and etc...

  • @Alexn1067 I don't either.....but from my understanding there is only one or two systems that can read it, and it doesn't transmit. So I can live with it. But I don't like that trend.

  • HK45 by a mile!

  • is the HK45 and USB 45 as reliable as a Glock??? more or less??? thanks

  • @readeronly1 In my experience More reliable, but there are two different camps on that subject. A pistol is only as reliable as its operator really. You have to know it like the back of your hand, maintain it, and keep it in the fight. That is what it is about. Every pistol has a bad day once and a while.

  • @navyman8903

thanks a lot man, I have the glock, cant wait to get the HK, I think I will get the HK45 over the USB. I love the design and the slimer profile.

  • @readeronly1 usb?

  • Carrying a full size .45? You don't mess around. IWB?

  • @MrFrancisxslaughtery Yes IWB, I don't think someone my size can get away with OWB very easily, unless it is very cold outside. Plus I don't like being limited to taking layers off if I can help it. And I don't often mess around. I like fullsize and 45acp. So I can get it done faster and cleaner.

  • @navyman8903 I had a USP 45 at one point. Great gun, soft shooting, reliable. Everything you say about it is true in my experience. I sold it in the end though, too beefy for my hands. And like you point out, trigger on these guns isn't perfect, especially the DA. Currently keep a PSP 9mm, less boom but the trigger is very forgiving. Can't go wrong with HK though. Kind of a luxury brand.

  • @navyman8903 You call yourself a little guy, what's your height and hand size?

  • @ihaterobbie123 I am 5'8", 175 pounds with a 32 inch waist, athletic build, and My hand tip of my middle finger to heel is 7 3/4". I also like long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners.

  • @navyman8903 I'll be sure to use that one, very funny.

Thanks, now I have an idea of how large the pistols are :-)

  • @ihaterobbie123 No problem, I am glad I could help.

  • Good vid, thanks for uploading...Hope to get my hands on a HK45 soon.

  • @nlddzr1 Thanks for watching, and I know you will love it, the HK45 is one of the best out there. I love mine, and I will never get rid of it.

  • Nice overview, really interesting, thank you ^^

  • @TheFlyhighrazzor No problem, thanks for watching.

  • Hey man, great video!!

Somethings I would like to ask you...

How is the recoil on the HK45? There was an improvement there?

Considering the mag capacity, do you thing the HK45 is worth it to carry with less 2 bullets in the mags?

And , do you know why ALL the HK's carry less ammo than their competitors?

    Thanks! :)

  • @checchia The recoil is very very soft in both the usp and the hk45. They are very smooth shooters. Also the HK45 having less rounds doesn't bother me. I carry 2 mags, so 20 rounds does the job. Is 24 better? sure, but the HK45 fits my hand just a little better and is a true marksman pistol. And as for the standard mag capacity, I have no Idea, but I make my rounds count as best I can, and I carry more mags if I need them. The mag cap is fine with me, I make it work. Thanks for watching.

  • @navyman8903 Alright! Thanks!!

  • its awsome

  • @harrypotterlover465 My thoughts exactly. Glad you like it. Just be careful, it is a gateway gun, once you own one HK, you buy more.

  • i gotr 1

  • @harrypotterlover465 Sweet. You should make a video if you can, and upload it. How do you like it so far?

  • @navyman8903 its awso

  • @navyman8903 its awso

  • i fired a usp

  • @harrypotterlover465 How did it go for you?

  • @navyman8903 great firearm

  • @harrypotterlover465 I thought so myself, Glad you liked it. Are you in the market for one now? or just took one for a test drive?

  • @navyman8903 i might get one

  • @harrypotterlover465 it happens to most people once they shoot one. It happened to me, I got hooked on the first 5 rounds.

  • @navyman8903 on order

  • @harrypotterlover465 That is great man, Put up a video if you can when you get it. They are great pistols and it won't let you down.

  • HKs, with rubber O-Ring barrel bushings are very accurate,i have then on my USP Elite,USP Tactical and the 45 compact.

  • @blackforest270 They really help the lockup and getting the barrel back after a shot is fired for increased accuracy. Not that a USP with out it isn't accurate, and it would be hard for anyone but an Expert marksman to tell, but every little bit helps.

  • nice vid and guns. My USP is on order! i liked the HK45 but it was a little to much for my budget

  • @ChloeeIsFat I think you will be really happy with the USP. It is an amazing firearm. I love mine, and as you can see I couldn't choose so I ended up with both. You might too if you are not careful. And in a few years the HK45's might come down, or you may find one that someone had to part with that has been taken care of. Both are very very nice pistols though. Make a vid when you get it. Thanks for watching.

  • @navyman8903 haha u arent kidding i got the HK bug...now the P30L 9 has my attention. Still waiting for my USP to get to my local shop...damn the wait!

  • What ammo does the USP use? I don't know much about guns, so I don't know if it just uses 9mm like the m9 does. What happens if you put in a bigger or a smaller round into it and fire?

  • @BurakkuRockShoota My pistols take .45ACP, and I would never shoot anything that the gun isn't chambered for, you will damage the barrel or something else very quickly. You may get it to do it once. There are exceptions to that rule, like .38's in a .357mag, and shooting a .380acp out of a 9mm. But I don't ever do it. It isn't really safe. I always shoot what is supposed to be fired out of the gun, you can never go wrong that way.

  • @navyman8903 Can .45 ACP's be bought at stores like Big 5? Where can I get this kind of ammo?

  • @BurakkuRockShoota I would get it online, it is often cheaper and they have it in stock.

  • great video bro, i was wandering which one i should get and i think im sold on the USP.

  • @StunnedMutha You can't go wrong with either of them. They will both serve you well.

  • @StunnedMutha where could i purchase these weapons? O_O

  • @EGP493 at a gun store im guessing, lol. I live in Australia so they don't show their handguns out front in their shop, you may have to ask them to show you some, or they may be able to ship one in for you.

  • @lHustonProductionsl I agree with you, in most pistols the barrel drops out of battery farther, and usually returns to the same spot but not always if there is play in the lock up. The HK45 just doesn't have any play, which is what I was trying to get at. The usp is kinda the same way. But the HK45 forces everything into place. But you are correct. Thanks for keeping my honest. And I have never fired a 10mm, I will get back to you when I do, 45 is currently my favorite caliber for a pistol.

  • @navyman thanx bro happy shootin

  • @blakDragon88 No problem man, and thanks, you might be able to find a good used one also in the mid to high $800's also. I always buy new myself, but if you don't mind buying used you can save some money. Good luck, and let me know when you get it.

  • @navyman wat should I look to pay for the hk45, if u don't mind me asking? I just don't want to get ripped off

  • @blakDragon88 $979-1150max. You can order one and have it shipped to your FFL if you are having trouble finding a good price.

  • does usp satnd for anything in particular? just curious cause i am finding alot of vids titled H&K USP .45

  • @jonesm16 "Universal Self-loading Pistol" or USP.

  • @navyman8903 thanks man

  • great vid. I've been debating between a USP or HK45 for my next firearm. Had a Sig P220 and absolutely hated it. Sold it and am without a .45 handgun now... This vid really makes me wanna get the HK45 (which I've been leaning towards anyways). It just seems like an updated USP. Internally, everything is pretty much the same minus the recoil spring, but from what I've heard, the recoil system on the HK45 is easier for rapid fire. I'm gonna rent both though before I decide which to purchase.

  • @dsmxtuner95ISAFAGGOT Shooting both is really the best option. The HK45 I think is better with follow ups, overall it is what are you buying the pistol for. The HK45 is a great carry/range/ and even a combat handgun. The USP is a Great combat handgun. Both will shoot smooth and fast. I love them both so much I ended up with both of them. The HK45 does feel better in the hands, but I feel that it may be a tough decision. Good luck and thanks for watching.

  • Man you really did an awesome vid here man, I mean, everytime I go to look at USP or HK45 on youtube, this video is right where i go. Im finding myself drooling over the USP now... might be my next handgun purchase....idk? The 12 round magazines and the classic USP look are reelin me in man.

  • @HecklerKoch45c Thanks man, and the USP 45 is an amazing pistol. I Love it. If I had a "go to war" pistol (I hate saying it that way), the USP 45 would be my choice. I love my HK45, but The USP is a beast. The funny part is though, if you asked me to choose one to get rid of, I couldn't do it. They are both great guns.

  • @navyman8903 yea I wouldnt be able to gid rid of either one either if I had both. Ill probably be gettin one sometime soon. But yea between the HK45 and the USP I like the HK45 grip way better, and the sights, and just the overall look of badassness, but the USP has the 2 extra rounds and better recoil system, idk.... i wouldnt be able to pick one or the other. Good thing I already have the HK45! That makes my next decision easier! ;)

  • I'm planning on picking up a HK P7 as my first HK soon. After that... I'm going to have to decide between the HK45 and a USP .45 Tactical. What's your suggestion? It won't be for concealed carry.

  • @YuanMizzle Well the HK45 is kinda like a 1911, and the USP 45 tactical is a monster. I would say which ever pistol fits your hand, points, and shoots the best for you. But the USP 45 tacticals are just a little bit more rare than the HK45. And in my experience once you get one HK, you end up with a few more over time. Both are great guns. And the P7 is a great choice.

  • @navyman8903 when you mean by «a monster», do you mean that it has more recoil or it just has more capacity?

  • @mosestheleader25 By monster I mean it functions well, shoots very well, and gets work done. The HK's have a very very smooth and almost soft recoil in all of there pistols. They run very very hard, never let you down, and you can shoot them all day.

  • where did you brought the HK45 and USP?

  • @infinitiRG I actually bought both of them from a bait and tackle place that was the only place in the state that stocked hk's. I ordered the HK45, but they had the USP 45 sitting there calling my name.

  • i wanna get one of the usp 45's

  • @harrypotterlover465 It is a great gun.

  • can you please tell us what the difference is between these 2 pistols?

  • @gotcalves I thought I covered that.....

  • @gotcalves one is larger and he like the usp better

  • hey can you put attactments on the usp.45 like laser sight, flachlight, ect.

  • @ManuForti1322 Yes you can, you can use the proprietary HK stuff, or you can get a rail adapter.

  • H&K makes the USP .45...

  • I have the BB gun Version..Nice guns.

  • @grandelfe I love mine. Nothing like a 45acp HK. Gets work done.

  • @navyman8903 you said primary fairy

  • i my opinion the HK45 is prettyer too! :D if i ever emigrate to the USA that will be my first item bought there.

  • is that an airsoft gun?

  • @harrypotterlover465 Yes a $900 airsoft gun that I got at a gun store that shoots real 45acp life like airsoft bullets. I also carry an airsoft gun for self protection. You never know when you are going to need it.

  • @navyman8903 where do you get all those mags?

  • @harrypotterlover465 I bought them over time from various gun stores, and online stores. I have more now, but it takes time to buy them because they are about $65 a pop for the 12 rounders. But I like having a bunch for the range or if something happens.

  • @navyman8903 oh i wanna get one

  • those hk's are badass. cnt wait to get one.Which do you think is better a usp.45 or hk45?

  • @mannycools They are on the same level until you start putting them into jobs. The USP 45 is a tactical side arm, 12 round mags, all business, kickass take names. The HK45 is just as tactical, but I feel is slightly more consistant on follow up shots, and is perfect for Self defense/ target shooting. The USP is more for going to war. But an arguement can be made either way. It is all what you like better. I couldn't choose so I got both lol.

  • Awesome review, Thanks!! I am in the market for a second .45ACP, so I'm going to have to give the HK45 some serious thought. I currently own a Loaded Springfield 1911 PX9154LP in Black Stainless, that I use for I.P.S.C and I.D.P.A and if shoots perfectly for me but I would like a second .45ACP and was checking out a Glock SF21 but now I really need to consider the HK45. Thanks again, great review of 2 excellent firearms.

  • @Dozer1003 Not a problem. Thanks for watching. And the HK45 is a very very fine shooter. If you already have a nice 1911 and a USP 45, I would definately give the HK45 a look. ToddG from pistol training . com used an HK45 LEM to do some fine shooting. He has some great videos up on youtube. I will pm them to you. I love my HK45 and will never get rid of it. It does everything I ask it to, everytime and then asks for more.

  • @navyman8903 Thank you, sir, for the reply and for sending those vid's off to me whenever you can, no rush. I do appreciate it.

  • after looking around at all my options the HK45 is my next pistol.

  • @GunfightersINC The HK45 is an amazing pistol, it has given me zero problems, and still impresses me everytime I shoot it. I love it.
