I read a theory that Brian really meant to go to Ibiza to "go out in a blaze of glory", but that Justin unwittingly changes his mind in this scene. Of course, the other theory is that B always intended to go to John Hopkins, but gets angry with J (and the lamp) as he is terrified that J will leave him as soon as he finds out about the cancer and ball removal.
I love the first theory as it is more dramatic/romantic (Justin saves his life), but I don't know what the writers were intending.
I just heard Justin saying "Honey" to Brian at 2:11...Oh that's soo sweet :-) they totally look like a couple...As even Brian asks Cynthia to excuse them when Justin comes in...Only if Brian could accept it. It would be perfect!
I don't find Brian hot at this moment. I jumped the first time I saw this scene. He scares me and I feel sorry for Justin. Then I admire how Justin handles things. I wish I could have such restraint in RL when faced with a loved one having a meltdown.
Brian didn't want Justin to be worried about him. A cancer is a tragedy. Brian was enough scared to not frighten his lover. He wanted to go through with it alone. He always has the habit to rely on himself. Even if he knows Justin is there. He felt vulnerable. And that's not an easy thing to deal with for him. Cause He's Brian Kinney. But he loves Justin. Sure!

i agree! but i also think it's because he knows if he told he wouldn't go back to school he'd stay and make sure he was ok, brian loves him and doesn't want him to ruin his future over him. it's kinda sweet really! :D
why Brian didnt tell Justin about it was also because he thought Justin would leave him as soon as he comes to know that Brian has some problem with his testicle...Because that was Brian's idea of being in a relationship...and this is the reason he tells Michael in scenes after this...But what u said is something i would also like to think every time i see this scene :-)
Gosh Brian was being such a bitch to justin but I can understand why he would be mad but he still didn't have to take it out on sweet little Justin!! lol Brian is still hott as hell though!!
