  • My choir did this in 2008 at all state. We got an superior.

  • BEAUTIFUL!! I sang this when I was a senior in HS in 2006!! Great sound!! I still remember my Alto Part

  • by any chance can you give the lyrics? this is such a beautiful song!

  • This is great! My school chorale is doing this for our Choral festival. We are using the same score, but our teacher has taught us to sing triplets wrong! So it doesn't sound as good as this.

Where did you get the score from?

  • we sung this at rowlett high school u.i.l. and it was so beautiful i fell in love with it

  • can soeone send me the lyrics through pm

  • sorry wrong account :p

  • This song is so amazing.. We're practicing is at Palmetto Ridge right now.. I hope we can make it as pretty as that was=)

  • nice piece. i love it...

  • dude i am singing this song in my college woman's chorus @ cedarville univeristy and it is gorgeous. thanks for doing a good job and not butchering it like so much of youtube has done to the entire world of classical music

  • omg i love this song we are singing it with my choir its an amazing song

  • Who arranged this piece? Absolutely amazing!

  • I believe it was David Childs... My high school SSA choir sang this one... It was my favorite of theirs that year =]

  • ONLY problem I have with this is the lack of emotion. The entire performance is static. All other aspects are there, making it awesome. But emotions give pieces beauty/perfection. It could be because of the tempo, lack of freedom, or even dynamics at some points. But very good for a high school

  • I love the BelCanto, you girls are ALWAYS amazing!!!

  • This is beautiful. It is rare for a high school chorus to sound like a lovely group of women. Y'all did a great job. :)

  • Best version on here

  • Thank you very much! If you live in the Naples, FL area, you should come to a concert some time! We'd love to have you!

  • @1littleperson naples fl?

( i know its a year late but ehhh) I live in tampa! maybe I could go to a concert sometime

  • When I was a junior I think, the class of 05 sang at my sisters wedding at the St. John's!!! I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!

  • Hah, that might mean my sister was part of it. Was it only the women's choir or was it the whole choir?

  • @1littleperson Sorry it took me so long lol...Answer to your question -- Just the Women's Choir. Miss yall so much! Hope you are well my dear!

  • Hi Guys, Lovely performance. Can you tell me the composer of this piece? I have had a request to play Song of Ruth at a wedding and this is my favorite of the various pieces with that name. Again thanks for a great performance.

  • I'm not sure... I want to say it was either by a woman or by Z. Randall Stroope (only because we do so many of his pieces ^_^). If I can find out, I'll reply again :)

  • Have you found out exactly who composed this piece yet?? I would also love to know where to find this arrangement!

  • @foofit2 David N. Childs. If you google

Song of Ruth David N Childs' it will come up with sites that you can buy it from, or sibelius where you can view it.
