  • You can find one of these pickup clips on ebay for $2.45. (free shipping) Just type in 'clip on guitar pickup' at the top of your search page and press enter. It will be the second one down. You'll have to make an ebay and paypal account if you don't have one.

  • thumbs up if you thought this was kipkay

  • don't let the trollers get you down, bud....these are the kind of tricks that make youtube worth while. ;) Keep up the good stuff.

  • I have the korg tuner--so where'd you get the pickup part to hook to tuner---you say just plug it up to tuner---but how did you hook tuner to amp or effects pedal?

  • I don't really understand,, did you buy a pickup and not make it then?

  • Ha...yeah i've seen these on ebay for only like 99 cents from china and was wondering if they could be used to plug into an amp....now i know.....sounds pretty good.

  • great idea. Im going to plug mine into a portable 3 watt practice amp and also use it for boosting the sound volume from a mini digital video projector.

  • distort is fuckin awesome

  • I tried it...it worked.......doesn't sound too bad.....thanks for the post....I can't understand negative comments on a vid that's just passing a tip along to help someone....haters, just move on. Or go buy an expensive pick-up.

  • Very helpful I think I can go MAKE a pick up now

  • dude....you've stole my guitar!! :))

  • what a god damn waste of time..... you did not 'make' anything, you showed how to plug in a quarter inch jack into an amp, or your effects pedal....

  • @PimpTritian the irony is lost on you, or you're lost in the irony. Either way you miss the point.

  • The clean setting sounds like I took a shit after I ate like 80 peanuts and raw cracked pepper.

  • i thought it sounded pretty decent!

  • listen up everone you do not use the tuner just the wire!!c like you would with a pizeo!!!!!!!!

  • cool that is a two for one I play Ukuelel! what korg tuner is it I cant find one with the line onn it?

  • Awesome! Thanks bro!

  • i dont get why people are saying it sounds cheap.... sounds perfect to me .... i would actualy rather use this then a 100 dollar acoustic pickup (they sound weird to me)

  • Whats a pickup?

  • @soulpwner225 look at an electric guitar, a picture will do. you will see on the body of a guitar there are rectangles underneath the strings with 6 circles on each of them. these pick up the sound and play them through the amplifier.

  • How are you getting the sound through the pedals and to the amp if there is no output on the tuner? I'm not thinking clearly.

  • @MajorPwnage96 you dont need to hook it up to the tuner.. the clip thing is a device that picks up vibrations and on the other end of the cord is a regular plug thing for amps and stuff

  • @sortaAWSOMEish I obviously need to buy those. I tried to hook my tuner to the amp, and then I realized that is blocks out any noise besides the input source. I felt stupid.

  • This is a great video, with a great idea that sounds pretty good for what it is! Nice work!

  • I dont know why anyone would hate on this, its labeled as "MAKE an easy guitar pickup" Obviously its not a top of the line pickup... good lord. Good job dude, I appreciate your ingenuity!

  • This is interesting. How would this compare against electromagnetic sound hole pickup making use of the vibration of the steel strings?

  • genius! dont listen to ilooklikeppl. sure its not the best sound, but its pretty good for it being a $2.00 clip! Amazing! thanx for the tip.

  • i have thew same amp

  • Brilliant!!!

  • i don't understand how this works . what is that clip you have on the end of it. i have not got one of them . did you make it ?

  • What guitar is this? Samick?

  • @Facehoal With a few days of delivery :)

  • How did you make distorted sound?

  • When you buy the tuner, does it usually come with the little clippy thing?

  • you know what i take my last comments back, it just seems real nice to me because I'm poor so my effects and amp sound like shit cause they are cheap, i 4get that sometimes.

  • @ilooklikeppl Understand this, this isn't for recording purposes. It's just a neat trick I found out. So back off? k? thanks.

  • @ilooklikeppl I'm not here to impress anyone, do you have anything better to do than troll? People these days... Honestly people like you should just keep thoughts to themselves, nobody wants to hear your shit, there's nothing wrong with me posting something that I found interesting. And there's no need for you to be this immature, you probably haven't even moved out of your grandmother's basement, you'll probably end up getting kicked out like you did from your mom's.Get a life:) fyi, blocked!

  • @guitarherorawks20 If it helps, I thought it was cool.....

  • I call bullshit.

  • @Thomsonthetube Call it what you want, it doesn't bother me cause I know I'm not wrong

  • wel with a ice affects pedal like that its bound to sound that good. how about without the affects i bet it sounds like crap or just realy strange. second off ur sposed to show ueslef playing so we know not BSing.

  • @upthedownsterio I made this a long while back, no bs. Stop trolling

  • @upthedownsterio That's not like...A REALLY nice effects pedal or anything, lol. Runs about $100 or so. Maybe a little less now. This is legit. A pickup is just a magnet. You obviously don't play an instrument.

  • @crossback7 Ahh finally some back up haha. I don't even use the Digitech pedal any more, I got a Vox VT30 modeling amp

  • @crossback7 obviously because i don't know how a pickup works i don't play the guitar, i mean it sounds surprisingly nice is all I'm saying. fine tune the shit out of my guitar it still don't sound good and 100$ is a big deal to spend on instrument equipment. i got a really low budget so to me this is nice. i never said it wasn't legit either i was only pointing out a person should show themselves playing for the video's sake.

  • @upthedownsterio It's how you play it, not how much you have invested in gear. And this is a nice little trick, if you need something quick, easy, and a little louder than a normal acoustic.

  • what kind of amp is that

  • Can you tell me where to get the belt clip thing?

  • i think i might try this

  • i shall try this....

  • Deadly man! Going to try and buy this tuner aspa and give it a go. Nice 1

  • Lol Acoustic Guitar metal!

  • @Dennizzz119 Thats fun to do live!

  • awsome

  • dat guitar in drop D?

  • This is wonderful

i always had a electronic guitar tuner but never noticed the wire from the clip. . . hehe

    thanks

  • Your idea and your materials are perfect..

but if you increase the brightness of video

and also increase your voice tune it can be

    superb.

  • kool epi

  • I don't get it.

  • y9ou want to put it on the top of the hole for more bass and at the bottom for more trebble

  • I was surprised how good that sounds. I think that it has too much low-mid and bass. I think finding a location that gives a brighter sound with more high-mid and treble. But for 15 bucks this sounds pretty damn good!

  • Thanks! and yeah, with a little bit of tweaking you should be able to get a desired sound. :)

  • Nice video, is it possible to use a microphone as a pickup and speaker as an amp?

  • Thanks, and you could try to. but the sound quality would not be of the best.

  • @phubandit i dont think that will work, cause you need a amplifier circuit between the speaker and microphone

  • @phubandit um thats a popular technique called "miking" an instrument. you need a microphone, a POWERED speaker and a microphone cable.

  • what kind of tuner did you use the exsaced brand pleas
