jack white is cool and has a fucking great taste and education in music, and without a doubt an amazing blues-rock guitarist. That being said, he does not compare to these amazing men who revolutionised the music of the world. Even if jack white did bring you here, as long as you listen to son house, FUCK IT! long live the blues.
@SeanTehGuitarGuy thumbs up if he did? does it really matter, atleast he is feeding this new kind of generation this music. I would rather my son listen to John Lee Hooker, Ray, and Son House then the new age of hipster-ness in music today.
Guitar guy, I had Son house records in Germany in 1970- could not understand every word but the music carved grooves in my soul. I went to visit the Delta three weeks ago.and saw Son House's blues markers and stood on the ground where he was born.
@SeanTehGuitarGuy So you think that is is somehow bad that a modern musician is introducing countless people to true blues? Would you prefer that Son House's greatness remained untouched by all those but the glorious few? I think it's brilliant that all of these people's lives have now been enhanced by this music, no matter how they got here.
Been drinkin all evenin. I'm not a musical man. But when i've been drinkin and rents due and bills has got to be payed...this is all i wanna listen to

Sky Arts recently had a show on the Newport Folk Festival in the 60s and Son House talks about the blues on there, it is absolutely amazing if anyone can find it.
