I never quite undestood why they id te vid in black and white but now I see its cuz the colors of the interior buildings rooms w/e aare very bright

No, that wouldn't have been the overriding reason to output the video in black and white - grading could have easily changed the mood of the video. A big decision such as rendering the video without color would most probably have been made in pre-production. B/w is actually less forgiving towards light - many music videos wouldn't quite hold up without color.
