Sorry If this is super confusing o.o I made this like 4 years ago and I barely remember what to do cause I stopped playing this. But it's pretty clear if you ask me... For everyone that is lost:

1.) Download WinRar

2.) Go to ModTheSims2

3.) Download whatever you want

4.) Open up winrar, extract all the files into the folder "Name" >> "Documents" >> "Sims 2" >> "Downloads"

5.) If you don't have a downloads folder...then make one

6.) Exit out, open the sims 2

7.) Then it should be in your game :p

I bought Double Deluxe. I had to create the Downloads Folder in Documents. You will not get a virus but CUSTOM CONTENT will eventually crash your game. Esp content that crosses zones; at least my game crashed every time I zoned. But for Nightlife the mod to stop vamps from turning Crumple is necessary to keep Sims from crashing - read more here: sims.wikia.com/wiki/Mrs._Crump­lebottom.

If having hard time you're new dealing gaming folders - no worried will get used to it.

Only the very best of the best make it through mod queue and into the downloads section. They completely disassemble and thoroughly test everything about every would-be upload, so you can see that anything that's liable to give your comp a virus doesn't come close to making it through mod queue. I know because I've submitted stuff there before. :)

A lot of the time when I download stuff from mod the sims it doesn't work, but everything I get from the sims resource and a lot of other places work fine. I've even tried re downloading specific items and they still won't show up. It's really unreliabe and I get disapointed cause I was really excited about what I juts downloaded and then it doesn't work :(
