First off, the reason we traded KG was because his contract allowed him to leave to free agency in the next season leaving us with nothing. We would have had to put up BIG dollars to keep him. So we traded him so we at least get something for him. Smart move if you knew what was goin on. Second, Al Jefferson and Kevin Love average doubledoubles. All star players right there. Flynn's gonna be big. He's gonna produce and help us. Miller sucked, foye's outta here, and dont count on Rubio comin.

Love was projected to be a better player than Mayo, he's not a center he is a power forward, I don't know if thats where the WOlves are playing him cuz I haven't seen many of their games this year since they're never on tv where I'm at but he has range and some size to him so he's more fit to be a 4 than a 5. If he was getting more time he'd have Mayo type numbers. Plus getting rid of Mayo also got them Mike Miller who is a veteran shooter so they got what could have been two solid players for 1

It always hard to tell this early in his career but he didn't do as well as he was projected to do in college so teams didn't expect him to do so in the NBA either. Its possible he could turn out to be great but its also possible Kevin Love could turn out to be the next Gasol or Dirk type of player. I think it was a safe trade to get Love and Miller for Mayo.

wait are you comparing dirk w/ pau gasol?? they are 2 completely different players.....dirk does not have post moves but is an excellent shooter, while gasol is a ultra quick forward center that has a soft touch and great hands. love would never be a nowitzki or a gasol because he doesnt have the mobility of ethier gasol or dirk...dirk and gasol could play at the 3 position if they were shorter you can't say that about love.

oj mayo had a tough year last season at usc but he is putting up even better numbers in the nba than in college, hes shooting better beyond the arc (which in the nba is longer) and he is shooting at a higher percentage. doesnt that tell you something? love may have range from the college three and make some phenomenal trick shots during practice but theres a difference between shooting in games than being wide open in practice i think he can shoot consistantly from the college 3 range and below.

Antwan Jamison and DeShawn Stevenson are solid too. I think Crittenton could develop into a good player too. But I wish the Lakers never had given up Butler, he was the man. They just have to be patient If the wolves start building a franchise at the end of this season and focus on that they will be in a championship caliber team in 3, 4 years its just about paying attention and being patient thats all recruiting and scouting in the NBA is especially with players like Hansborough coming into the league next year they will have plenty of opportunities they just have to stop tryin to make champs overnight and be patient
