  • this video is so sexy... i need to get docsis!

  • Comcast currently sucks in the Ft. Campbell area since they are use fiber optic lines here. They are complete garbage and need to start laying down some fiber optics so there is no bottlenecks.

  • yea Comcast is a bitch i hate them. we pay for 25d and 5u but we get 3d 4u WTF

  • Meh! My 33.6 baud modem will lay waste to your puny connect. Buahahahahahaha!

  • Fuck optimum i have the same modem and they cap me wtf

  • 64 ms it kill my internet requirements for me but for you download upload more important :)

  • internet connection here in the philippines in freakin expensive =(

    1MBPS 999PHP / 23USD PER MONTH

    12MBPS 5999PHP / 138USD PER MONTH

  • joder... igual que europa vamos, (sarcasmo) asi de bien jugais al cod o al btf3 (:

  • This modem is a beast. I used to have a sb5101 or something and the download speed was so inconsistent. I bought the SB6120 and my speeds were up to 70mb/s (with powerboost) and 28 mb download regularly I'm ONLY supposed to be getting 20mb download with my package but I'm getting 28mb steady.... BEASTLY MODEM. The download speed is consistent 24/7.

  • @woodyfly

Tell me about it....I'm suppose to be only getting 15 mbps....

Yet with this sucka, I hit 24 mbps on average.....I love this damn thing.

  • Having such speeds in the US is a waste of money, since you're just as monitored as the average Chinese citizen.

  • @Iyoulikeyoutoo stfu

  • I want your internet.

  • Comment removed

  • how much does this cost you?

  • is this the same internet package as the docsis 2.0 vid

  • hey i have that exact one!

  • Hey, what internet speed did you have before you bought this modem? I am trying to see how much of a difference this modem makes over a standard one. Also, what plan are you using for Comcast? Thanks buddy.

  • I just bought new coaxial cables and splitters, and my speeds are frickin awsome now!

  • dude if you host its the upload that counts i have and you have bad ping

  • I'm on the 22/5 B.C Package but my Modem does 50/10 . I feel so happy with my Internet I don't have words to express how happy I am:)

  • Show me the speed of your download after the first 40 megs and if it's the same I'll eat my hat.

  • I hate you man! Ahahah

  • What internet package are you signed up for? Better yet how many small fortunes does this cost?

  • aww ur ping sucks :(

  • I have 8 mbps, I manage well... WTF DO U DOWNLOAD WITH 100MBPS WTFFFFFFFF

  • very fast

it's like a school internet speed

  • Torrent king's ultimate tool.

  • My ISP gave me this modem/router. All my computers and consoles are on wifi. Do you think hooking up my Linksys WRT54g will make the wireless any faster ?

  • @JMGameVideos That's a pretty shity low-end router imo. I'd go with a nice D-Link Wireless-N router.

  • @JMGameVideos that router sucks balls...

  • @samater16 So this is better ?

  • @JMGameVideos the one in the video is a modem not a router. get something like a d-link dir855 or linksys e3000.

  • @samater16 Mine has wifi.

  • @JMGameVideos WRT54g is a Wireless 802.11g router. You need to have 802.11N to get the best speeds. Which is what is built into this modem. The wireless N routers are allot cheaper now than what they used to be.

  • @TechnodesBlogs Why not invest in getting a Wired Gigabit Ethernet switch.

  • @BuzzStudiosHD Or that but he was asking about the wireless. I just purchased this modem My Self and use the wireless router that is built into it. I have no Issues with it and it Tripled my Comcast speed without me having to upgrade my Tier. Comcast was shocked also they said that was good. Now since I have a Brand New Mac I have the Gigabit Ethernet Port and If I am not mistaking this modem also has the Gigabit ethernet. So Either will work.

  • @TechnodesBlogs I live in the UK, so I'm on the known network, "Virgin Media". It's good. Only downside is the equipment is their own brand.

  • how many upload ch are in use? is it just 1

i have 4/1ch but my isp is tight they cap me at 107/2mbps saying its uploads that kill the network lol

  • its so pretty fast

  • For a second I was worried about the 64ms latency :P

  • will it give you the same speed no mater what internet company you have?

  • @SpartanKitteh0659 No, it will only give you the speed that your internet provider says you can get. If you order a 15mbps download and 1mpbs upload, that is what you get, no matter what modem you have. This modem is only useful for faster tiers and if your internet provider has DOCSIS 3.0 deployed in your area.

  • i just bought this modem but got the version that included the router as well, and my internet speed isn't nearly as close as yours! mine caps at 22 mbps, what package do you have? because i want that.

  • @Spencercw0wns In this video I have the 22/5 business class, what you are seeing is powerboost. I now have the 50/10 business class.

The point of this video is to show how fast this modem CAN go (provided your ISP lets you go that fast).

  • damn thats fast

  • what song is this

  • @pedroschanel Sunshine by Dance Nation

  • is comcast capin your speed at all? slowing some site compared to other sites ?

  • @j7x54 Not that I have noticed.

  • @j7x54 innernet don werk like dat budday

  • so would you say this modem increased your internet speeds? cuz im thinking of buying this

  • @LAOxFEAREAPER switching out modems can help but mostly you want to first check with your ISP to see if the hardware you have is optimal for your connection and check to see what speeds you should get. Cause a $200 modem or router won't help if you signed up for only 1Mbs

  • @LAOxFEAREAPER My modem did, but because I subscribed to a faster speed from them as well. Your modem will only go as fast as your internet provider will let you.

  • @BlueRollinCoal Does it cost more $ to tell comcast you have DOCSIS 3.0 and have them up you speed?

  • @mytuber81 no just tell them u want a better modem and they will send it.

  • @LAOxFEAREAPER

only your router can slow you down if its less than a Gb

  • took me 2minutes for the little bar to fill up while i was watching this video, i'm on a 56k connection =) speed of light! or at the speed of a fart.

  • I am using voip available at vontrump.com. It is amazing.

  • nice im on att uverse 24 meg plan theirs upgrages to higher speeds slower okay sso i dont even get close to 24 megs i got 97 as peak i must be licky for 24 meg plan and my ping is 3 or 2

  • your upload is faster than my download lol

  • What comcast plan do u have?

  • @pronra556 comcast is rolling out with new technology, xfinity. Those speeds will be available soon across the US. But his upload isn't impressive. I have the blast package with comcast and I get that same upload speed but the blast package maxes out at 29 megs downstream ( they say 16 minimum ). With download speeds of his numbers his upload should be a lot higher around 20 - 30mb range. But it must be nice to even get those dl speeds, congrats.

  • @letmein53 I now have the 50/10, and get 53/12.5 all the time (no powerboost, that is sustained speeds).

  • Pretty damn impressive. I actually just bought my Docsis 3.0 modem last night and can't wait to hook it up!

  • lockergnomes sucks donkey dicks dipped in hot sauce filled with sperm

  • Holy shit down speed test finished in like .05 seconds lol

  • yea how come ur uploads suck?

  • @adidas1984x as with all isp the upload is capped the network if uncapped the modem has the potential of full 120mbps duplex.

  • I have really been eying that modem for the longest time and have came close to buying it. However my ISP is timewarner and I am pretty sure my internet service is DOCSIS 2.0. So If I was to get this DOCSIS3.0 modem do you think I would see better speeds?

Or is it just more reliant on the ISP.

  • @djkub1 if time warner only has D2 then you will not see the benefit also your speed tier with them must be high enough.

  • on single mode fiber, lucent transferred 6 tera b's in the initial test 10 years ago. they maxed the rate at 10tbs 6 years ago. beyond that.....the switch always looks on or 1. 01 10 11 11 11 11 11 11........past 10tbs the receiver cant see the 0 position anymore. what allows the thru put is the risk router managment system. with more routers, the rms can shuffle the bits to more destinations hope this info helps

  • People!

    Mb/s != MB/s

    Gb/s != GB/s

  • my download is 103mb and upload is 6...why the upload is very low?

  • @alinbrd because most Internet functions require more download speeds comcasts like all isp's cap upload to preserve bandwith. Customer owned Domain Servers are not supported via comcast's service if you have one you are breaking your terms of service.

  • bro heres an update we are getting the same technology here in San Antonio Except our power boost will max out the same modem me and you have SB6120 I have all blue lights just right now i reset the modem :D LOL

  • yo if i buy this and replace it with my comcast modem will it be just as fast?

  • @gamersvidonline no it won't your speed tier must be set to the correct speed and you will need a Docsis 3 modem.

  • yeah i'm only getting 8.02mbs down and 3.02 mbs up....for me thats fast enough...which service is...i think you got the business package.

  • @romes2dam and which modem is that?

  • I was considering buying one of those Motorola modems but I have a Comcast's "Blast" package which only puts out 20mbps, so my question is: if I get the Motorola modem won't I still only be pushing around 22mbps?

  • OK, I bought this surfboard (Motorola SB6120), and I want to know if it costs any thing to switch over to DOC-SIS 3.0.

  • @SilverCloverClips um what? no i know what you mean but, its a bit of common sense. you first (if you are using comcast btw) upgrade to a service that requires a Docsis 3.0 modem (its not a service, Docsis 3.0 is a modem specification and this version includes channel bonding). Then you swap your old modem (if you leased it) or stop using it and pick up a Docsis 3.0 modem from a local service center (there's no additional cost for switching modems. just a 5$/month lease fee)

  • @SilverCloverClips so basically, since you have a motorola surfboard, you should first call comcast or whoever your trying to use a Docsis 3.0 service with and see if you are permitted to use it with their service (you need to call in usually to "Provision/activate" your modem. like a new cell phone number)

  • @mda40000 ok thnx know i know what to do, cause some one told me that they charge you extra for using Docsis 3.0

  • @SilverCloverClips it'll just cost you to lease it. I have an Arris TM722G eMTA (telephony modem) since i use digital voice, but either a service technician that comes to your house or a customer rep. can provision it.

  • Shit no wonder i only pull 22megs here in Denver your hoging my speed!

LOL JK man thats the shit right there, now only if there were download sites that could handle that speed, cheers!!

  • @shockracer As long as the download server is hosted in a fairly large data center I have no problems maxing out the speed.

  • @BlueRollinCoal

Hey man, why is your ping kind of high...? You should have a comcast tech come out and fix that issue. I get around 5-16ms of ping. That's bullshit, you should have better ping.

  • @famous1681 Cable generally does have shitty and/or unstable ping. I'd say I generally get around 5-10ms on VM cable, but it easily goes higher. I get around 50Mbit down, 1.5Mbit up.

  • @7031 nothing wrong with 5-10

  • @7031 In general, it doesn't have anything to do with the cable. It depends on the server you're testing, and the route to get there. If the server is busy, it's going to increase the latency, and once the packets get out of the cable network, the route they take to the server may increase latency as well. Do a trace route if you really want to see whether or not it's the cable that's causing high ping.

  • This is fast but I wish I had EPB's fiber optic service, their top speed is 1,000 Mbps up and down.

  • I really need to get this one.

  • I wish my internet provider had this i have 'Nation's Line', I have a question, if I bought this modem that you have would it increase my DSL spees. My DSL speed sits at about 66.0 kb/s. Please message me back and let me know.

  • @Keontae0756 This is a Cable modem, not a DSL modem, the two are not compatible with each other. I only got this speed because my provider allows for this speed. Its up to your provider on how fast you can go and what speed package you purchase from them. If they don't offer anything you like, and have a choice of another provider in the area you could try to get faster with them, but your mileage may vary...

  • @BlueRollinCoal what is the tier you subscribe to from Comcast. Are these bit rates from the 50/10 or something else? I am currently on Blast, get solid 25-26D/3-4U w/ powerboost.

  • @psdad770 At that time I was on the 22/5, but powerboost was not limited. Now powerboost is limited, but I have moved up to the 50/10, and get that speed all the time.

  • @BlueRollinCoal cable modem? thought 100 Mpbs were fib optic? do they run independantly through cable? I know they aren't shared ...at least I think not

  • @kai696 Thanks to DOCSIS 3.0, which allows cable channels to be bonded together to allow for greater speed, you can get UP TO 160 mbps download and 120 mbps upload from a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem. The trick is that the cable operator has to let you use that kind of speed, which doesn't happen, you'll get the speed that you subscribe to. I currently have 50 mbps download and 10 mbps upload.

  • @BlueRollinCoal just learned today in my IT class about it! high grade Fiber Op have 1GB/s transfer (brandwidth, not throughput or goodput)

  • @kai696 well no the fiber doesnt have 1GB/S..

The fiber is not the speed. The end point its whaterver is on the end and the beginning of the fiber determines the speed. (the swich) there are swiches that can push over 40GB/s on a fiber

  • @kai696 Comcast has 10gbps service available for large (100+ people) business class subs in the Jacksonville Fl market

  • @kai696 welcome to the upgrade, hybrid fiber coax, baby!

  • comcast has 105 mps now, what state you in? i know its in california...

  • LOL I got 107 Megabits a second from Suddenlink! Comcast is a joke compared to Suddenlink. Im downloading at 150 mbs+

  • @l2izwan Lol, well I guess FBI cable stealing is a whole other issue.

  • @l2izwan There is no way someone would get 20 years in prison for service stealing -.-?

  • @AkcEri1 And Kevin Mitnick shouldn't have been held for 4.5 years without a bail hearing or trial, but it happened anyways... Our government is scared over what they don't understand...

  • wow you just made me feel like i got dial up even though i have comcast with an old motorola surf board . So i Just ordered this box from new egg right now . Thanks for the video

  • Well, personally with 30/30 Business Fios on my Servers you're DL is nice but the upload is fast enough for you're awesome server setup? I could only wish for a setup as good as yours.

  • @JerniganArts I would trade my 50/10 for a 30/30. The 10Mbps upload is not fast enough, it gets by, but I could really use more. I bought the rack and some equipment second hand, so it really isn't that hard to come by, you just have to look often and don't settle, wait for what you need.

  • @BlueRollinCoal True, I have three IBM x335s for websites and 2 game servers, so I like my hardware it just might look a little ghetto XD.

  • thums up for denva 303!

  • thats fast as fuck

  • @l2izwan Why what did he do.

  • i want to know if Docsis 3.0 is supported by SoCal Roadrunner..???? Please help..!!!!!

  • @jinxer18 As of right now, there are no plans I could find that they will deploy it to that area. I would guess they will eventually, but as of now, no plans are announced. You could call them and ask...

  • lol. I know someone who has 60 GB/S. I think she lives in sweden or something.

  • How much do you pay for that internet?

  • so how much for it? and do you have it in your home or office

  • so is there a cap on your download ? like 30 gigs a month or is it unlimited

  • @j7x54 On the business package that I have, no, there is no cap. On the residential service its 250GB/month

  • k so im kinda new to this internet speed stuff... i got comcast an i only get 20 mb/s.. is that because of my modem?

  • @gottalovetonic Its because that's the speed you are paying Comcast for. They offer faster speeds if you need them. If you got a DOCSIS 3.0 modem, you wouldn't go any faster than you do now, unless you subscribe to a faster tier. For 98% of people, their standard packages are just fine.

  • @BlueRollinCoal I have Docsis 3.0 and lately is has been running slow. Is there any way I could call Comcast and have them replace it? That's what I did with my older cable modem that went bad. Just wondering.

  • when u get a plan dus it lock to that speed like 15mbps or can it like go up a little bite like 15.0-15.6mbps?

  • They're offering 100/5 here, but with a 250g cap. I'll stick with my 15/3 no cap for now.

  • config file ?

  • Why do you even need that much speed 12/3 will hold any body unless you host servers

  • @dakoolaidboi615 I do run servers, I average about 1.1-1.5 TB (TeraBytes, 1000 GB = 1 TB)

  • I saw your video -- wow

I have time Warner docsis 3.0 extreme I get 27/4

can you send me back a list of equipment I need to get your speeds?

  • What's your internet plan?

  • @YOUCANNOTDENY 50Mbps download and 10 Upload

  • Nice Download but upload doesn't beat my fiber connection... since i run servers i need lots of upload.

    Nice Video

  • @XxMEVANSxX Unfortunately this is the fastest I can get. Fiber is not available in my area. My options are 50/10 DOCSIS 3.0 from Comcast, or 7/.896 from Qwest :(

I would LOVE to trade my 50/10 for 35/35, but I do not have that option... I also run servers, but most of the time my 10mbps upload is not maxed out, but more is better ;)

  • lol, that more like it was exactly what I thought. :P

  • 0 dBmv across the board on all four DS channels, somebody did a damn good job!

  • hay can u tell me what i need to use comcast? do i need phone line? i might get it so plez tell me all the info thenx / nice internet

  • all i got to say is damn....

  • How about Europa?

  • omg omg omg omg that's faster then t1

  • what the F*** that's faster then T1

  • @computergeek4444 Really? wow, faster than 1.5 Mb/s? Duhhhhh ~!~! T1's are the slowest thing out there, their only upside is the mandated up time.

  • To get this type of speed, one must have DOCSIS 3.0 modem with latest cable company signal, at least a NIC card that supports 1000 (not 10/100) and a well high performance PC to achieve the speed over 100Mbps, tested & verified.

  • how much is that a month like $150 ?

  • mmmmm, 110mb/sec so that mean u can download 1gb on 10 seconds?

  • @BaadRichie no, its 110mbits/second, so it would take 10 seconds to download 110mb and 100 seconds to download 1gb

  • @4ACT so 11megabyte/sec?

  • @BaadRichie yeah

  • @applemonkey187 I live in Florida and we have Comcast and it is 22mbps for $30 if you can get Comcast I would check and ask about service.

  • Too bad about Comcast's 250gb monthly cap. > : (

  • @lionheartkms Except I don't have a cap because I am on their business class. I have done 1.45TB in a month and nothing heard from Comcast. I do at least 600GB every month, and have been since about March 2009.

  • @BlueRollinCoal Yes, I heard that cap is only for residential customers. How much do you pay for your business class internet?

  • @BlueRollinCoal What do you do that uses that much bandwidth? 1.45tb?!

  • @BlueRollinCoal i can do 35gb per month. Before it was 25.

  • comcast has a download cap?.......

should i just stay with att dls? i pay 35 a month for a 3mb connection that sucks balls.

i hook a wireless router up and it freezes when i try to download a game like americas army or watch youtube.

  • Crazy!!!!!!!

  • how much do you pay for you plan for 100mb an 10 mb

  • @zxcv1789 nothing! there is Haxorware firmware that is alpha stage for that modem.

  • @zxcv1789 Actually, despite what wwjoshdew says, this is a full legitimate connection. I pay for the 22/5, which has unlocked powerboost, which is a short burst of speed. This is NOT hacked, 100% legal.

  • lol once you said powerboost i lost respect for it

  • @BlueRollinCoal hes right im a comcast tech and ive seen people push speed like that once in a while

  • Unbelievable Speed I Can Imagine That That Subscriber That Show This Speed Now Dont Have problem of Speed Slowdowns because He Use A DOCSIS 3 And A Blazing Download And Upload Speed

  • Please check your inbox :]

  • Not bad to be in usa

  • Even without DSys3 current Dsys2.1 modems can get these speed though not reliably.

The USA is one of the slowest to roll out anything having to do with broadband. We might see full public roll out of Dsys3 right about the same time I have the option to go full out fiber....

  • In what city does Comcast give customers 4 bonded channels? That is off the gattdam chain. How much to pay per month for Internet service.

  • @mrogi12 Currently New Castle, PA does (yeah smaller city I know) we were a test bed for DSYS3.0 before it was released to the general public. At the 20mbps speed standard our of the box modem gets roughly 32-38 Mbps sustained. Though I'll admit Comcast tends to get a bit more testy here (125 gig and got a call that I was using bandwidth a bit fast) though that was to download ALL my Steam games to a new system so thats not all the time.

  • omg 120 mbs im lucky to get 5

  • ok so i have a 1.5 mb dsl/adsl modem from 2002 so if i went and got this modem with gigabit Ethernet i would get much faster speeds?

  • You would only get to go how fast your service provider says you can go. I do not endorse the use of illegally modified modems. Comcast told my modem that I could go this fast, that is how I got the speed. Its up to your service provider, but if your service provider offers DOCSIS 3.0 support on their network (which is cable, not DSL) then it would help.

  • This makes doc-sis 2.0 look like an old beater ricer civic sitting next to a Ferrari

  • @mksmalls86 Which is why most cable operators are upgrading to this pretty quickly. Its far cheaper to upgrade to D3 than roll fiber. Also, with upstream channel bonding right around the corner its possible to deploy 100/100 to subscribers, but it won't likely be offered for some time.
