I was born in Oakland. At age 3 my parents moved me across the bridge because my mother, 7 months pregnant with me, was knocked down in an attempt to rob her. Seeing this absolutely sickens me. And what's worse is knowing that this won't change anything. It's not just Oakland, and it's not just the people, it's a horrible combination of both. If the news can broadcast footage of dead people, starving children, etc. 24/7/365, there's no reason footage like this shouldn't be allowed on YouTube. This is reality. If you don't want to see it, don't watch it. The title speaks for itself, and even if we wanted to, we couldn't get permission from every family member and friend of every victim broadcast on the news, YouTube, or wherever. It's important to keep people aware of what's going on and unfortunately, this is the most effective way.
