I think what's worse than taking the word hope and wrapping around popular culture is to trying to take the concept bibical christianity and tring to wrap it, twist it and synthesise it around pop-culture into an uneasy, synthetic, spiritually anemic mixture of christian cliche's and spiritual toxic wast-dump of everything popular-culture has to offer anyway. That's I believe alot of trouble comes in at which is exactly what your doing.
