Oh that magnificent wail! If you ever get a chance to listen to some early Bobby Watson & Horizon, get the album "The Inventor". Graet stuff! Especially "P.D. On Great Jones Street". Amazing.
If you can get your hands on an album called "New York Stories" under the guitarist Danny Gatton, it's a great album. It really shows up Bobby Watson's versatility.
If you ever get a chance to listen a tune he wrote called "Conservation". It was sort of a life changing experience, I dug it pretty hard the first time I heard it. He played on an album called SuperBlue and I guess the band is called SUperBlue as well. At 3:30 that is some tech shit.
I just found my new idol.
