I actually received bravo for a good few years before it came to astra1C satellite as a free-to-air softcrypted channel then subscription only. To get bravo I used a 1.2m motorised echostar sr5500 stereo satellite receiver linked to a pirate decoder to access Bravo on the intelsat 601 satellite at 27.5degW with stereo sound on 7.02/7.20Mhz with PANDA1noise reduction. The transmission was encrypted in SAVE encryption which the pirate decoder unscrambled!

If I was given the chance to revive Bravo as it was then,it would stick to it's original mix of classic movies and classic TV series mixed with classic pop/rock music videos/clips and shows from the 40's 50's 60's and 70's with regular bursts of Beat Club/Musik Laden etc.
Now this brings back memories. Bravo, the days from when I was a kid. Timewarp Television at it's best. Can anyone tell me, surely Bravo today is not the same company that launched all those years ago, and show nothing but pure crap. I never understand why these TV stations have to keep changing line up, themes, and show the same bloody line up day after day. This was the best, by all counts, bring back PROPER BRAVO TV.
This was classy and elegant for it's time;should STILL be used and the classic programming and films should be brought back. This ident should be remixed for stereo and shown before stereo/dolby surround films/programming and a mono version for old programming and films.
A fabulous reminder of a time when Bravo was actually a decent television station with decent programming, and not the low-grade trash that it is now.

Rest in peace Bravo. 1985-2010.
Or more correctly 1985-1993 as it was shit after they stopped showing the old movies.

Always loved this ident. It should go back the old films and tv. Most of it's shows are on Virgin 1
