actually, the GT-R did beat Porsche in some matches, but the Porsche beat the GT-R in others. They are so well matched that it almost purely depended on who drove which car and who was the better driver. The Viper SRT-10 still champs the Nubering.

it isn't so much about quality, it's the costs of what it takes to run their company. They have millions of employees and it's a union which means the can demand higher wages. There are guys out there who spin a bolt all day long and make 30 bucks an hour doing it.
You do have a point about the Union, but you have to agree that the quality of Big 3 is not as good as the Japp cars. Also, let us not forget that the big 3 have lots of plants in mexico and canada :) so we the tax payers are bailling out the mexicans lol
