Thanks for your videos. I have a problem I can't find the solution to. I have to save my xls files as csv files for another program. Then after they are run in the other program I want to open them in Excel. It all works find, but when I open the csv file in excel, all fractions are changed to dates. I try to format format the cells back to fractions, but it takes the date to some crazy no. that has nothing to do with anything. I'm using excel 97. Do you know the solution?

You could run the "Get Data" in the Data menu and when you import that column, format it as text.

Thank you for your response. Under the get data fuction is only shows "run web query" "run database query" or "create new query." None of which seesm to do what I need.
