  • its not weird that crysis got me here?

  • @X7XyourselfX7X you're not alone ;-)

  • In the WEIRD part of youtube again

  • Okay so basically this is electronic muscles ?

Okay here we are, we can give eyes to a blind, we can give ears to a deaf, if we can figure out a way to make human memory and intelligence capable to live on electronic cells, we'll find a way to be immortal guys !

  • @SolalChabauty

i suppose if you connect some artificial neural network to brain and data channel will be fast enough the consciousness will distribute evenly between them. but as far as i know we are still suck in connecting electronic devices to brain.

  • @odv000 The fact is that we already tried on monkeys (well I as saw it was mostly torture than anything) and also on rats. A lil group of people took rat neurons and added them to a robot, technically, it was like putting the brain of the rat into a mechanical corps. You could see the lil scared robot searching for a place to hide near the walls. Pretty sad but incredibly interesting.

  • @SolalChabauty immortality is not as great as you think, life can get tiresome. All adventures must come to an end, right?

  • I want a WinonaRyderbot like in Aliens Resurrection.

  • I had a dream that i stumbled upon a space elevator and i was like WOW i didn't know scientists had figured out how to synthesize continuous nanotube fibers, then i got in the elevator and we had to pull ourselves up by hand. I guess the moral of the story is that a space elevator would be AWESOME! XD

  • @danthemanzizzle one time I dreamed I was in an elevator that accelerated so quickly it either warped space, or (most likely) squashed/stretched me.

  • ok? now what?

  • POWERED BY CRYNET SYSTEMS

  • holy fucking nigger tits!!!

  • Fuck Crysis and Fallout, I want an Atlas Battlemech!

  • @Vladshock I want an Madcat MK2

  • @ABn5clinYR fuck crysis, FALLOUT :)

I want me some power armor!

  • i will be the first who will buy a nano suit .. ill rob a bank and kill just to get one ... MAXIMUM DESIRE !

  • this is how you get robots to work

  • I understand everything now.

  • you would need titanium alloy for bones.

  • MAXIMUM STRENGTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • carbon robots!!

  • GAY

  • Battlemechs, here we come...

  • would these be stronger than original muscles?

  • my comment didn´t show.

again: nanotubes are going to changes things a lot.

  • 1 nm they have a very little amount of energy inside them.

and can be used to store Hydrogen atoms inside them.

and are gonna be used in a future inside integrated circuits.

and they are 40 times stronger than steel.

    and they are cylindrical fullerenes

with this nanotubes things are going to change a lot.

Well something like this, I did read.

  • @YetziroVenni Imagine that in orthopedics....would be magnificent for thousand or millions...a more "real" prosthetics for those who need one new extremity.

  • i want some of those

    i wnnaa buuy em!

  • im gueeing if a current is run through them it looks like it makes the expand. dunno, wish the detals had more details...

  • maximum strenght

  • i have a dought, the CNT are used between some thread like structures.what is the material used for the thread?

  • Crysis?

  • @Cymator MUSCLE SUITS 4 THE WIN!

  • @Cymator How many people here are on a search for technologies worthy of the crysis nanosuit?

  • @Cymator Hahaha...nice guess but Crysis used nanites to enhance the muscles. Thumbs up anyway.

  • @CloudLevi Really? I'm pretty sure it was nanites for speed and nano fibers for strength.

  • @Cymator Crysis 2!

  • @Cymator We are pretty much capable of building a suit like in Crysis, and can do even better actually. Who knows it might already exist for secret military purposes.

  • @KDZX4 Lol, no, we really aren't.

  • @Cymator more like cybernetic bodyparts. that is what i can see this going to.

  • *loadin' a shotgun* ...maaan as soon as AI becomes a reality I'll be shooting at terminators made with nano-muscles :D

  • one step closer to terminators, i cant wait for my very own T-1000

  • I LOST THE GAME!!

  • Muscle suits hell yeah. Metal Gear style!

  • hell yes! :D

  • @mobius1aic fuck ya i want face camo so i can sneak into the playboy mansion hehehe

  • An interesting animation but I think it works a bit differently than that. As a current is applied to the fiber it's structure changes causing it to shorten, then when the current is released it goes back to it's original form. But cool stuff all the same

  • Im lost

  • Is this all animation or not?

  • fuck me running

androids are gonna be so fuckin dope

  • it look like good breakfast lunch.

  • lol breakfast? are you retarded?

  • breakfast, yes.

  • why is there no sound?

  • because there is nothing to hear

  • Its just like Jane Fonda

  • STOP adding crap!

  • Sweet we have found our Android mussels, now get to work and create that first true real Android.

  • nice 3d work mann

  • Thanks for your contribution to the coming Singularity!

  • So, how much force per volume can one of these deliver, and for how long? How close is this to practical applications?

  • Can I have it medium rare please...?

  • Don't you realize what this means as far as medical and scientific value? This is synthetic muscle... You could have a new arm built for someone who lost one and be able to lift over a 1000 lbs. This is an incredible breakthrough in technology... Oh wait, your still in a cave banging rocks together so it doesn't mater to you.

  • In theory, a single strand of nanotube (thinner than hair) can support an SUV, provided it doesn't cut the car clear in half. These strands are unimaginably strong. A few strands spun together are stronger than industrial grade steel cables, able to support many tonnes of weight. A paper thin sheet of nanotubes is stronger than a meter thick plate of the strongest metal alloy (titanium). Incredible stuff...

  • Please, quit making shit up to try to impress people.

Carbon nanotubes have a tensile strength of about 150 GPa, and given a very small SUV weighs 1000 kg, means that under perfect conditions, you would need a cable about 0.3 mm in diameter. Single nanotubes have a diameter of about 1 nm, or 300,000 times as small. Furthermore, because the area increases with the square of the size, you would need about 100 billion nanotubes to form the 0.3 mm cable to hold up the (very light) SUV.

  • body armor strong?

  • O_O 1000 LBS?!

  • with this arm those rocks would be dust

  • haha a human lifting 1000 pounds without braking their back?

this will most likely be used in medicine and also for humanoid robots. Or just robots with smoother movements in general.

  • looks delicious

  • wow amazing....

  • nice , I want a bodysuit from this and i`ll become a superman

  • Two words - Less accountanents

  • This is definitely an important step in robotics and materials technology. The Singularity Is Near :)

  • Is this fake CG?

  • No it is authentic CG

  • That was so fucking informative and entertaining that it gave me over 9000 orgasms at once.

  • hahaha I know I was jacking off too this for hours!!

  • two words: improved hookers

  • Two words:Space elevator.

  • Two words: Supersoldiers

  • you made it one word.

  • Just because I accidentally made it one word, I get negative ratings for this?

  • This is what Bullet-heads can use...but for skinjobs, they will have to have genetically-enhanced human muscle tissue.

    Frak.

  • One Steve Austin, coming up

  • so a innovating cool stuff 5 stars !! This could be use for strengthened athletes or soldiers , or even kind of super workers in the futur , in the space etc

  • Omg Its like BSG predicted Ahhhhhhhhh

  • I can see this replacing ligaments in athletes

  • I read that as in aliens ^^

  • This is pretty interesting stuff. To make human-like robots like the asimo, they have to work with rotary motors or hydraulics, which are bulky and not really much like human muscles. If they can make a strong compact linear actuator, an artificial muscle, those humanoid robots will really start to shine. We have a perfect blueprint in any anatomy book at least. It will just be software after we get the design right.

  • Arnold will crush your nanotube nano muscles. You weak little nano.

  • I can't wait for a wig made of this stuff. Prehensile hair!

  • NANOSPASTIC

  • no sound?

  • thats coool but it doesnt look like muscle

  • Androidsa cummin soon. Also, better prosthetics. . .and better versions of a gazillion other things that currently have big ass inconvenient actuators

  • awesome!!
