Most Not All Veternarians are con artists and rip offs, they don't care about pets. All they care about is making money I hate this video and before anymore morons write me. My problem with this video is that they were supposed to show a treatment, not a diagnosis. I am a nurse I know the difference between a stethascope and an opthalmoscope. In my haste I said the vet with the stethascope, ( I MEANT AROUND HIS NECK,) I thought ppl were smart enough to know what I meant but obviously not.
@asianr0se I know you're being sarcastic about the video. But the title of the video was Treat a cat with a cold. And your right, if they told us how to treat them, a lot of cats would get helped but vet offices are just like any business and they want the money. It cost me over $350.00 just to tell me my cat was dying, then another $50.00 if I wanted some meds to make her more comfortable. There went half of my rent, a note to the land lady. the vet didn't care!
That didn't say anything about how to treat a cat with a cold. all that was shown was a doc looking at a cat with a stethascope. Then a comercial.........
@RobThunder42 Wow your kidding! I meant around his neck...The point is, this video was supposed to tell you how to treat a cat. Not diagnos a cat, any one can see if a cat has a runny nose which that cat didn't without using an opthalmoscope. My whole point was why didn't he teach us how to treat it like the video said. And that's just like a vet. they charged me 350.00 just to tell me my cat was dying. NO Treatment just a diagnosis. I'm glad your smart enough to tell the difference
@mammal46 ok, I understand your point. But I misunderstood your comment which was " all that was shown was a doc looking at a cat with a stethascope." I took that literally as the doc "looked" at the cat by using his stehascope. But I digress... I will agree with you that there are some Vets charge way too much (especially at corporate chain hospitals...) My cat had a UTI...and they pushed to have X-rays because his PH was 7 (a little high). No stones were present, but I was out around $600.
@RobThunder42 Exactley! There are some really good vets though, I once had one come out to my house because my cat got stuck in my husband's fan blade in the car. He put the cat to sleep so we could take the car apart and he took the cat to his office and fixed him up and billed us. And I had a wonderful vet in Chico Ca but some are purely out to rip you off for all they can get.
They didn't need an xray on your cat, all your cat needed was ABTs but that would'nt have made them money 4 the day

Mamma146 is right, this doesn't tell anything about treating the cat. Not a bad vid, but not what the title states.

@headphones222 Number 1 I'm a grandma, not a sir. # 2 I'm a nurse and I know what a stethascope looks like. What is your trip?
mammal46 1 year ago
@mammal46 No disrespect, but if you're a nurse then you should know that the intsrument the Vet used was a ophthalmoscope...

2 between a stethascope and a opthalmoscope, too bad you can't tell the difference between a diagnosis and a treatment.
