god sings through this woman...one of the most beautiful voices in the world. i first heard cocteau twins in art school ive been a fan for 20 years and i can never get enough
@steelyman08 cant agree more....this is not just music .. this is the soundtrack to the heavens ....may these ethereal sounds break through societys poisoned radio of materialism and oversexed daddy's girls....
Such beautiful images that matches with such great song I love the way it explodes beautifully at the end... Such beautiful world and atmosphere they made specially in Victorialand and the moon and the mellodies. If you could upload "She will destroy you" I'd be more than happy. Thanx for this video
Gracias...
This has been one of my favorite songs of all time - to me. I fell in love with the Cocteau Twins since 1982.
However, I was reading some of the other comments: first, it is a 23 envelope visual; second, is Harrold Budd was a great contributor, but the "Twins" had just gained their freedom form the 4AD label and had to still go on in a less restricted environment; and third, you're absolutely right - it's hard to believe that 3 people can make such beautiful music.
With all due respect--I am sure you are a big fan-- your post is misleading. First, while the visuals accompanying this track are quite good, they do not look like anything from 23 Envelope that I have seen. The colors are too bright. Second, Harold Budd was not a contributor to this album, he was a fully credited collaborator. In fact, this is not a Cocteau Twins record, it is a Budd/Fraser/Guthrie/Raymonde record. Third, CT did not depart 4AD until late 1990; this record was released in 1986.
23 envelope ? ? as soon as the songs gets louder and the drums and guitars get louder it's like something shoots right through you...can't believe 3 people make such a sound like this...this is what you hear right before you die..and look at us still alive..lucky to be alive and hear this everytime I like.
Yes oh yes beauty and euphoria, I have heard it 5000 times and I dont care if I can't understand the words, its a connection with the soul. and even these words cant describe it. thanks
OMG!. Beautiful, poetically beautiful. This song immediately takes me to that place; a place of peace, joy, love, of eternal fusion of the soul with the sacred. Somewhere without pain, without sorrow, nor dispair. Simply divinity and perpetual eccstasy. A calm and gentle place made of pleasure in amber colour, colour of the absolute.
The best thing I remember is playing this on a huge stereo outside and how this music transformed the sky and the leaves of the trees into nothing but sonic ecstasy.
This has been one of my favourite albums since it was released, but I think it's a little unfair to just label it, "Cocteau Twins." You're totally dismissing Harold Budd's contributions to the album, which is the whole reason it *wasn't* released just under the name "Cocteau Twins".
I have been listening to the moon and the melodies almost consistently since I purchased it in 1999, it hasn't left my player in 8 years. It's part of my being now and will hold a piece of my soul forever.
Nice colors. Unforgettable song... I listened to it while sleeping and somehow it has lingered inside of me, and its ethereal message blooms slowly day after day...
@robert9691 lol whilst high listening to the cocteau twins I have before I think actually come to some belief in god, though I still have *no* idea about who or what it is, what it can do, what it has done. It was just a crazy few minutes. For what it's worth I was listening to 'Those eyes, that mouth'
its a lovely watershow. i always wonder if this song is about the writer Virginia
Woolf who drowned herself in the River Ouse in England[probably not]. also
i think onehow is the greatest word i've ever heard. instead of somehow, onehow

Always loved the subtle build-up to the ecstatic climax on this--like climbing a hill and finally being rewarded with a fantastic view.
Thanks (-:
