Acctually, once you have Sonic get those ten rings, you could make him go through the checkpoints and get him even more rings for Shadow to get.

When you lose your rings, you can only recollect 20 of them.

@Groudon0199 I know, but what if you have Sonic collect 20 from the checkpoint, then have Shadow take some and have Sonic still have a couple, then go through more checkpoints until he gets 20 rings again. :)

I'm not sure if it's maximum, but I don't have the GC version to confirm. In the Dreamcast, there were two more ring boxes, at 7:56 (5 rings) and 8:00 (20 rings). If you ever try to do this again, please check and tell me. I'm doing some research on this and the correct number would be appreciated.

There are 20 rings on the other end of the suspension bridge I discovered later, so on GC, this can go higher.

The only area I could check would be at 8:00 (through the other loop), but I think on my "where are the rings?" plays, there was nothing there.
