I'm glad to see that the family is finally reaching out for help and I wish them the best. Drugs are complicated. Life is complicated. That last bit was interesting. The idea that they're now doing drugs to avoid the withdrawal process as opposed to doing drugs for the high.

I love the DeBarge family. They are painfully honest and well-meaning. They are struggling just to get to a better way of life. I hope the best for them professionally and especially, personally. 'Truly rooting for El's comeback attempt, as he is STILL clearly struggling with demons, even though he has claimed to be clean. I have some experience with loved one's with "jones's" and know when they are being less than truthful about NOT using.

oh thanks.. you know i googled him and then i found on this site about geneaology James Debarge and then it has his sibblings name, mother, father who was like robert debarge sr i believe can't recall and it shows he was married to erlittalien or something like that. then for James Debarge he married Janet jackson and it states they have Daughter named Renee. then they show that janet has 4 kids 2 by jermaine Dupree and 1 by james debarge the other one named Chris n name

James seems like he has trouble putting his thoughts and words together in a clear and coherent manner...I'm assuming that that's because of years or decades of drug abuse...Bunny seems the most "together" in this video and she looks pretty good despite all she has been through...It's sad watching such a beautiful and talented family being victims of drug abuse...I hope their cycle of drug abuse will end one day and they will all become fit and strong again.

This is too painful to watch! I can actually feel physical pain! OMG they have actually deteriorated terribly since Unsung, all of them! I really thought that Bunny was doing better! This has really brought it home to me' how devastating drugs is! Bunny was at the Detroit show singing 'A Dream' & I thought she sounded and looked well! As most of the other comments... I'm very sad to see the debarge's in this state. I remember watching their unsung episode and being shocked at the abuse they had to deal with... They (bunny, James, and randy) looked to be headed towards the right direction at the end of the episode (unsung).. As an American you can do whatever you want even when it is harmful to you and no one can stop you. Even when you know these folks are using illegal substances no one stops them. We can't make them go to rehab for their own good. Even sending them to jail wouldn't help them because there are drugs galore in jail. I saw El in concert in June and he was escourted off stage because he could not perform. I am so sorry that they suffered as children and that their trust was betrayed by the person who should have protected them. I pray that Dr. drew can surround this family with support to help them heal. My prayers are with them. They were so beautiful and have such beautiful voices.
