  • Ok whose watching this with there uke?

  • is that ukulele a soprano a concert or a tuner ??? PLZ AWSER

  • @MroFUN TENOR. Please check the video description next time.

  • Thumbs up if you paused the video to close out all the crap on the screen

  • Those that are saying to cut his nails don't play stringed instruments do you? Left hand is trimmed to play the chords and the right hand has nails to strum instead of using a pick.

  • i dont get how to read the notes can u explian plz? :(

  • trim your nails bro

  • @keloha3

You need nails like that to play classical guitar. You need to get that rod out of your ass.

  • Where didi

  • I find it difficult to follow.. :-( But I like the way you presented and look.

  • but nice vid :)

  • you kind of need to cut your nails.....

  • What type of uke are you using, soprano alto etc.

  • you are awesome at explaining this! :) this helped a lot

  • Youngman, this tutorial is very didactic, there are many uses which we can give to youtube, in the same way you want to keep your best videos for remembering your experiencies, excursions and trips. Not only you can do that, but also you can create this didactic instrument tutorial. Pleased to meet you, although I need to practise the English language and either theme is true for practising so long as I have a agend and a plan of study. I hope to keep in touch. Greetings

  • Put a kapo on the fifth fret of the guitar for ukelele

  • Can I use a tuner of the guitar for tune an ukulele?

I'm sorry for my bad English D:

  • @animelol95 yes, it should work

  • @ shortycake408 IDK but i know that if you are left handed you just need to get the strings switched

  • Not a very great tutorial. /: and you botched the strumming, but thank you!

  • No help at all

  • "ya so theres a bar and...then you just put these two fingers in..." thanks super informative...

  • I want to learn to play the uke, and I have absolute no experience. I am left handed, and I know that that's an issue for guitars. Is it also an issue for ukes? Are there left handed ukes?

  • @shortycake408 I'm left handed and I play guitar and uke right-handed. if you really feel like you could only play left-handed then there are lefty ukes, or you could also just flip a right-handed uke over and reverse the order of the strings.

  • @shortycake408 I am left handed as well and almost all ukuleles can have the strings swapped around to make it left handed cause unlike acoustic guitars it does not have a angle on the bridge. :)

  • @shortycake408 i am left handed as well and i wanted to know the exact same answer but unfortunately there are no left handed ukuleles um i had to learn how to play righty but once you get the hang of it it is really easy. Hope this helped i also have some videos posted and teaching leftys how to play righty hope this helped.

  • @bug31500 Seriously, if you feel more comfortable playing lefty, reverse the order of the strings and flip the uke upside down. Tada! Lefty uke!

  • @shortycake408 Most ukuleles are almost completely symmetrical, unlike guitars. You could probably just reverse the strings like guitar2adam said and play it like that.

The only concern might be if you have something like a nubone mount at the end of the ukulele which is a slightly different height for each string, but that would probably only affect the intonation a little.

  • Thanks. The chords were complicated at first... And still are but mow its just the strumming im having trouble with. The tutorials are better than all the other ones ive seen. Breaking it down is better than just one whole video. Hope u keep making some

  • What key is this in?

  • dude what kind of uke do you have

  • @cnioblast it looks like a Lanikai.

  • @iansaysrawr Except that it say "Kala" on the neck ;-)

  • Actually, I can see them very well.

  • Srry to say, but u need to know how to explain alot more better cuz all u say is "put those fingers there" seriously where is there ??? other ppl cant see where ur fingers are ....

  • mega nails 1:27

  • Great tutorials and it is good you are catering for all abilities. Please keep making these.

  • @jhfjhgtf i did that because I knew some people would want to learn the riff and others would just want to know the chords. the last one was for beginners who need more help with strumming. let's look at the statistics: for all three videos I have a total of 1390 likes and 82 dislikes. That means for every 1 person that disliked this video (like you), 17 liked it. I rest my case.

  • huge ukulele man

  • Great teaching dude

  • Got my uke this morning. thanks to you in one day i can play a song :)

  • Awesome job, so easy after strumming it thru a few times!

  • can you upload a more simple video cos i cant do it

  • @X2010speed7 practice practice practice. if you're having trouble with the strumming, watch part 3 (link in description)

  • @X2010speed7 Try getting a capo and put it on the first fret - it makes the chords much easier to play.

  • now i know how to play the whole thing!!!!!!!!

  • How do you play the first part (intro of the song)?

  • Are you a classical guitarist? (very long right finger nails)

  • @SubParWaffle yes, although these days I play more fingerstyle acoustic than classical

  • hey i am thinking of buying a ukulele would anyone recomend one i should go for or one i should avoid i am a begginer and hvae no idea what type i should buy i would be very greatfull if someone could reply to me thanks :) xxx

  • @tinietempahluver

If you're just starting, get a standard 21' soprano.

  • its complicated -.-'

  • whats the f sharp and g sharp m?

  • Please reply...i have a question... where he starts to sing

And do ya want to scooch on over closer dear,

And I will nibble your ear

what chords are used there cause it sounded weird. maybe i was just tired but please help!

  • thanks a lot great video!!

  • f-sharp is hard -.-

  • @xxxtonkingxxx Using a capo on the 1st fret makes this song incredibly easier ;D

  • Could you show the strumming more slowly?

  • @SudokuFriend see part 3. link in description

  • Oh ok... That is weired...:)

  • r u wearing makeup orange makeup cuz if u are then....!!!!!

  • @TheTonischannel haha. just my lamp makes yellowish light

  • stop criticizing his nails lol.. if you play guitar or the uke, instead of using a pick you can let your nails grow so you can strum better.. obviously! lol... his non-strumming hand has normal nails because he doesn't use it to strum..

  • ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ur nails !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ewwwwwww ur nails

  • can u be a little bit more discriptive please

  • how do you read that chords chart!?!???!?!?!?!

  • non può competere con sungha jung !!!

  • สุด ยอด

  • how do you chuck like that? i can never chuck...

  • @ItalianMafia36 see part 3. link in description

  • @ItalianMafia36 on youtube type hoy to chuck and click on the video with some white dude in it that looks stoned

  • EWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! WHY ARE YOUR NAILS???? GROSSSS

  • @werunthisgirls the answer to that question is the top rated comment for this video....

  • @guitar2adam Well of course. An aid in playing your instrument couldn't possibly be the answer. lol

  • how do you read that chord chart?

  • what ukuele is that?

  • @MrBeardtard Kala tenor acoustic-electric cutaway

  • freakin noone teaches the bridge!! i have the resy down, the bridge is just really hard to figure out by ear. anyone know the chords?

  • @thestuckinator I teach it at 4:05

  • What type of Uke is that?

  • @buttonslapper Kala tenor acoustic-electric cutaway

  • Can someone tell me how you make the sort of hitting sound? I'm pretty sure you hit the ukulele to make the sound. I can't explain it since its fast. Its the sound that is played in-between the chords.

  • @PhunnyFung check out part 3 which shows the strumming in a lot more detail. link in the description

  • @guitar2adam Thanks for the reply. But I have another problem o_o When I play the B chord(or any chord involving the G string and multiple fingers), my pinky touches all of the strings and sort of mutes them. I see that your left hand doesn't touch the ukulele neck (besides thumb) but when I do that, I find it even harder to play. Do you have any advice on how to place your left hand?

  • @PhunnyFung go to im yours tutorial simplified chords he shows u how to mute or(hit/slap) on the uke

  • THANKS! for taking the time to give us a lesson!

  • how did he do that first part

    tuuuu-tuuuu da da da

if u get what im trying to make it sound like

  • @americanlollipop haha i gotcha. check out part 2. link in the description

  • what a handsome man!

  • Whats the plucking?

  • @buttking2009 see part 3. link in the description

  • That was awesome, really helpful. Thank you!

  • i'm gonna shoot somebody...if you 'bar' strings they don't make any noise! atleast that's what i've been experiencing...i just decided i wanted to play like ten minutes ago

  • How do you practice your fingers to be strong like that? I feel like my ring and little finger don't have much power to press the string. THanks.

  • @mingmac I never did a lot of exercises, I just learned songs I liked and wrote my own music. Its difficult for everyone at first, but once you get a habit of playing a lot you'll build up your finger strength

  • @mingmac I play guitar and have for maybe 6 months, and im thinkin o' tryin a uke. ANYWAY, once u start playin crap loads of big chords it just kinda develops.

  • U fucking dickhead stop moving your fucking fingers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome, we have the same Ukulele!

  • this would be sooooo much easier if you sang the lyrics!!

  • Where did u get ur uke and how much? Mine is a begginers one and its just a bit..... Dull?

  • @mophead396 My ukulele is a Kala tenor acoustic-electric cutaway. The model is KA-KTE-SP/C. It was around $350

  • i love this but i'm having the hardest time getting the strum pattern :(

  • that g#m is a bugger to play :S but very, very, good video :)

  • What Ukulele are you using?

  • @r1man13 My ukulele is a Kala tenor acoustic-electric cutaway. The model is KA-KTE-SP/C

  • I don't get F#...

  • You sorta look like Michael Phelps

  • @SpecialOpsBunny haha thats a first for me

  • hey, i remember seeing this video two years ago when i got my uke - i forgot to thank you.. so thanks :D

  • @AgeKeey this video is 2 years old already!? yikes! glad you came back to say thanks :)

  • Brilliant tutorial, I've been playing guitar for 12 years but just started playing uke as I can't take a guitar travelling with me, your videos are really helpful!

  • @timmypix glad I helped! ukes are definitely easier to travel with haha

  • What is his ukulele tuned in?

  • @darcyroy4 standard tuning GCEA

  • Can I give you a giant hug?

  • @AZNFTW197 i love e-hugs :)

  • It's official, you're my hero.

Marry me please & thank you.

  • @sweetveebby i just do the best to save the world one day at a time haha

  • what kind of ukulele is that? concert or soprano or what? please answer :)

  • @JShone93 tenor

  • @guitar2adam

I love the sound of your ukulele! Which size do you prefer, concert or tenor? I'm going to buy a ukulele but I really can't decide which size to get. I like doing covers of artists such as jason mraz and jack johnson, what size would you recommend?

  • @Liszle either would be fine. its a personal preference. try to listen to some samples on youtube and see what you prefer. they both have the same standard tuning. the only difference is the concert resonates more in the treble frequency than the tenor.

  • dude this is awsome

  • Hey thanks fir getting back so fast. That helped now I've just got to deal with the chords! I hate bars

  • Nice video. I myself got a uke and wanted to learn some easy but good songs. I was wondering how you do the part in the beginning first finger barring the 3&4 strings and then down to the 4th fret. When I do it it doesn't sound good. Any suggestions? Thanks and keep up the awesome strumming!

  • @MrSuperHoudini121 first of all make sure that weight is distributed evenly over both strings 1 and 2 (by convention strings 1 and 2 are the ones that sound highest). the sliding motion has to be very deliberate and you can't release pressure. it's one of those annoying things that you just have to mess around with a lot and eventually with experience it will come together

  • What's the strumming pattern? I dont understand what it is...

  • @lookoutitsryan check out part 3 of the tutorial (link in description) i talk in more detail about the strumming pattern

  • your strings are also plastic right?

  • @theneenjah yes

  • @guitar2adam I appologize for not reading the description about where you got your uke. I find that really annoying. IDK about you.

  • @TwisTinI2ouNDz haha thanks for the apology. i'm a pretty patient guy, so its no big deal

  • @guitar2adam I just got my Uke and I was wondering how did you get an electric Uke?

  • @TwisTinI2ouNDz i got mine on ebay

  • @guitar2adam Makes sense. You can get some good deals if you really know how to look for them. How Much? I bet it wasn't cheap even over the net.

  • How can i play this when im a lefty on the uke

  • @TheThinin exact same. just pretend its a mirror image

  • this got me laid, thanks.

  • Thank you for the tutorial.. im a beginner, and i understood you really well! helped me alot.. d=(^_^)=b

  • would you recommend me getting a tenor or a concert?? and which are some popular ukulele brands? thanks!!

  • i forgot what my ukulele is called but i just got it yesterday..the music store person told me that its good for transitioning to guitar....but mine sounds soo different T_T

  • @underxstars hmm well all ukuleles are great for transitioning to guitar. i wonder if you got a baritone, which is tuned the same as the high 4 strings of a guitar. try playing the song with a capo on the 5th fret

  • @guitar2adam ahh soo confusing ! LOL and yeah it is a baritone..thanks for the help :D

  • i'm only part way through this tutorial and i just started learning the uke too, and i've been getting so frustrated because i couldn't figure out how to do the chunking or chucking or scratching or whatever you call it, and you just helped me figure it out! thank you so much :D

  • good tutorial!... well done

  • Nicely Done!

  • thanks

  • your nails are freakishly long

  • @CharlieCharlington i hunt my own food by hand. saves money on the grocery bill

  • @guitar2adam dude your funny :L

  • @guitar2adam dont you also need it for the guitar if you dont have a pick?

  • @sk8koa long nails are common among fingerstyle acoustic guitarists. and just about every classical guitarist has them.

  • hey thanks for the video. with your Fsharp, you could also bar the first fret. therefore just sliding up a fret and moving one finger :)

  • Your explanation of chords are shit

  • @AJerkinHabit the numbers represent the frets. its pretty simple.

  • @guitar2adam yea but u like putted them up side down so they are confusing -__-

  • Comment removed

  • @shuffle5080

O sorry, I see in the coments, is a tenor.

  • @shuffle5080 mine is a tenor. yes Kala is a brand

  • @shuffle5080 fix your english xD

  • @adre23890 You do realize not everybody is from the fuckin U.S... Ignorant people never cease to amaze me...

  • @GotHobby just keep practicing! if israel k. could play a soprano then anyone can! (search israel k if you don't know who he is)

  • Where'd you get your Kala? I have one, but its a saprano ( i think ) and its black with mother of pearl sides.
