Yeah these apts are still there folks...walked past the other day and they just did them up. The Russian couple next building up were telling me stories about him shuffling about outside with a towel over his head.
This is an interesting area because it bleeds into Silver Lake, Echo Park, Griffith park, Downtown LA, etc... I know this area so well, its like watching my backyard.
Hi! I can't understand all what you say (i'm spanish), but i've understood the whole video. I think this house shouldn't be demolished!!!! Thanks for the video, I wish I were there!
If I remember correctly, the site is still standing--they voted against tearing it down...am I right? Anyway, loved the video--loved your presentation and I love Bukowski. I'm sure he and I were lovers in a previous life. :)
I went to visit last saturday(12/01/07). it was still there and still locked up. I drank a couple in his honor. i was gonna leave a beer but there were a bunch of kids around.
then i went on the Bukowski tour of hollywood blvd. believe it ot not it seemed alot more tame back then. there alot more weirdos out and about now, but they were all fake i know it. they probalby went home and sat in theier undies and watched tv until they fell a sleep like the rest of us.
the building will be standing for a least few more weeks. some folks have filed a challenge againts the owner to save it as an historical landmark. in fact there's a hearing today tomorrow (11/29/07) in downtown la concerning it.
I agree what a fucking nigger!

I like this version, I don't remember the "novel in a month" story in your original posting. Fear - a great motivator.
