  • German brothers. This should not happen. Those were innocent people.Watch this video. Its Croatian tribute for Dresden.

    watch?v=tMzCf_KWpmM

  • Well , it looks beautiful . I hope in February I will make it to Dresden and share my opinion about this city . Nice video !

  • @djraoul94 Dresden is a wonderful city, check out my more recent videos by searching my channel.

  • A really beautifull place.Pier 15 near by yeh.

  • Dresden is the fourth-largest German city after Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne and only the city-centre was bombed into pieces. A strong point of the city for me is the richness of affordable villa quarters. Whoever wants to see it here is a new city marketing video Dresden - city of inventions. POqET9jIqKU

  • @greenballish the guide books say that leipzig is bigger than dresden? also munich, frankfurt and dusseldorf, ...dresden is beautiful by the way

  • Ich empfehle auch die Neustadt und das Museum fuer deutsche Fruehromantik dort.

  • Hi, I'm from Dresden. And yes, it has its lovely sides.

  • Well, the words "A Cultural Nation" seem to be, probably, the best definition for Germany and Germans

  • dresden isnt really there-the city is a mock up.youll walk around replicas of the city.alot not trashed by the war has been trashed by planners. make a special effort to see how much they smoke here-the city is a virtual nicotene junky.puffing all the time, earnestly.emptily.unpleasantries continue on public transport there-deafening stop annoucements and bells...but wait-perhaps the most noticeable product of this sad sick city isnt the china-its the coughing-everyone coughs here. avoid if poss

  • why aint bunches of volunteers cleaning all those beuatifull buildings, get the dark spots off the buildings and paint them again, the city will get so much glory back,

  • you love dresden before the bombing, you had to see ROTTERDAM before the useless bombing, bombing dresden was necessary because uncle hitler wanted to let the whole germand population suffer so the allied HAD to bomb, germany did not had to bomb ROTTERDAM our beautifull lovely dutch harbour city, such a shame such a waste such a pitty, greets from amsterdam the netherlands

  • @casualstijl

I agree with You on that in most of the points.

If You could give me the answer why Colonel Philip Scharroo and General Henri Winkelman played on time, and jeopardized their people and city. What were they waiting for, the british?...Again, the bombing of every city especially when the civil houses are targeted is wrong. Its a pity that the Dresden bombing basically is used by the far right and Antifa. Friendly greetings from Germany.

  • @casualstijl

so why did they bomb the Downtown and not the military or industrial areas like the "Albertstadt"? Don't understand me wrong, war is war. But it is not intelligent to argument that the bombing of Dresden was necessary, not in that way it happend. It schould hit the civils and it hit the civils. Like in Lübeck, Kassel, Würzburg, Nürnberg, koblenz, Hamburg, Wesel, (google this city, impressing that they rebuilt this city at all) and many more.

  • Dresden Rocks! awsome place loved it!

  • Almost the same number of people as died in Dresden were hung, shot, starved or worked to death in Mittelbau-Dora (see Wikipedia) making the V2 rockets which were falling on civilians in London before during and after the Dresden attack. The slave labourers who died appallingly in Mittelbau-Dora were entirely innocent. The people of Dresden supported their beloved Fuehrer in his invasions of Russia, Poland, France, Belgiu, Holland, Checkoslovakia etc

  • @eddie123e how would you know they supported him? he didnt even have majority vote in 1933 to bring jobs... not to mention war.

In your logic cause Bush was elected TWICE its ok to fly planes in the WTC towers cause newyorkers support illegal wars and torture where innocent people died just like in dora.

Try to think rational next time

  • @tf2cheats That's your logics. Not mine! My logic is that, unlike the Holocaust, the bombing of cities constituted horrendous acts of war perpetrated by both sides in WW2 against people who gave their regimes the physical and moral support without which WW2 could not have happened.. The Holocaust was unique to Germany and its victims were guilty only of breathing in and breathing out. Those who were hung, starv ed or worked to death in Mittelbau-Dora making V2 rockets supported no-one.

  • @eddie123e than tell me why the German bombings of Coventry and London are considered a vicious attack on civilians, the Allied deliberate bombing of civilians during WW2, especially Dresden are a war crime and the ones responsible should have been brought to justice for this, most German people didnt support nor did they want the war, and stop brining up the holocaust in this, it has nothing to do with bombing of civilians

  • @eddie123e oh and 60 million people died in world war 2, not only jews , the holocaust is a very small part of it, wasnt the holocaust suppose to be this big secret thing set up by the nazis, but apparently every woman and child in Germany knew about it to your logic.

  • @eddie123e SPAM SPAM SPAM. Eddie, you have repeated this same BS on every video that you comment on bringing up the Holocaust matters that are NOT related to the Dresden Fire bombings. On other vids you LIED about why it was done, and NEVER acknowledged the fact that Bomber Harris deliberately sought to KILL civilians by also adding high explosives to the white phosporus, and Churchill KNEW and AGREED, (because later he tried to hide his involvement and approval. THEY ARE CRIMINALS EDDIE.

  • @eddie123e The pattern of how you do this spamming on all the vids suggests you are being paid to always stick the Holocaust story into every situation where it is actually TOTALLY IRRELVANT Eddie. And on this vid, YOUR comments are utterly irrelevant, not to mention that I STILL DON'T BELIEVE YOU ARE 83 AND ACTUALLY WENT INTO BERGEN BELSEN IN 1945. You wouldn't answer the questions I posed to you Eddie. You did not know what EVERYONE who was there then knew perfectly well about those camps.

  • @tf2cheats "how would you know they supported him? " Because Dresdeners turned out in their hundreds of thousands to scream 'Sieg Heil' and raise their hands in the Nazi salute every time their beloved Fuehrer visited them. In Dresden in particular, Goebbles who arranged the ddvanced publicity, knew that he was assured of a massive turnout fpr Adolf. You can now return to your normal strategy of hurling personal insults when your logic is shown to be illogical.

  • @eddie123e Eddie Eddie Eddie. You keep harping on this assinine single effort to connect the destruction of Dresdent to the Holocaust, because it that isn't valid, then YOU HAVE TO ADMIT THAT THIS WAS A HORRIFIC BRITISH AND AMERICAN WAR CRIME. You know dam well that Dresden wasn't bombed in retaliation of the Hitler Regime's actions with respect to the Jews. It was PURELY for gaining international power for the British.

  • @eddie123e You know eddie, the British horrors failed. Within months after the end of the War Churchill was out of power, India and Pakistan were gone, and the British power in the world was sinking without a bubble and hardly a flush of the toilet. After the Suez crisis British prestige and influence had vanished. Today the Germans with their European partners are still finishing the repairs on what Churchill and Harris so senselessly destroyed. That must really hurt your pride Eddie.

  • @eddie123e I think you should tell us how much you are getting paid to put this nonsense into every vid where it is utterly irrelevant. You should change your pen name to EDDIE THE PROPAGANDIST. That name, EDDIE THE PROPAGANDIST fits you much better. You know nothing, but keep trying to inculcate guilt into Germans. IT WON'T WORK EDDIE. Your are a despicable person Eddie, absolutely despicable. Germans are entitled to mourn their losses just like everybody else.

  • I loved it there but it is also tinged with sadness especially when you pass the place where the bodies of thousands were cremated. I admire the fact that, wherever possible, original materials have been used to reconstruct the buildings. Why did we have to do this to such a beautiful city? it was never an armed threat to te allies!

  • And i life there! =)

  • My name is Dresden.

  • v little of this centre is original so if you like reconstruction, visit.main problem-city leaders dont like subways and prefer traffic lights-you wait a lifetime to cross.germans love cars-and pollute this place when they only make short journeys.toomany germans smoke-this city will give you lung cancer.many shop workers are rude. they need lessons against this.the trains are smelly, no air, windows are locked, usually too warm. ice trains are often late.post offices are too slow.AVOID!

  • lived here for 8 years, never forget it...

  • see, when you live in peace, nobody bombs you

  • @gyshalom

    meaning?

  • @grazyarnie they allways portray themselfs as innocent victims bombed by the evil allies...when you are not attacking and fighting with anybody, nobody does you any harm

  • @gyshalom

aah okay if this was true why was Admiral Perry, who was pleased to leave the lands of Japan on 8th of July 1853, returned with a bigger fleet and forced the japanese to sign a trading contract ?

Dont get me wrong, the compare sucks, I know, I just want to point out that being peaceful doesnt not mean not of to be getting suppressed. Like Kuwait and Iraq, Iraq a long term friend of the USA, they even sold Kidd-class destroyers and F-14 Tomcats to them as long as the fought Iran

  • @gyshalom

its true the Neo Nazi idiots often use Dresden for their cause. There is no complaining about Berlin, why is this? Cause germans and the rest of the world do understand that Berlin was the capitol of the Nazi admins at that time, therefore it needed to be bombed to show an symbolic act. Dresden was mend as a moral bombing and that never worked on history...the last moral bombing try I know about is 11th September....it will never work out for the fucking Talibans, that for sure

  • @gyshalom

sorry I mixed up the two countries...to make it clear the US supported the IRAN during the Shag era with selling modern military stuff like "Kidd-class" later "Spruance-class" and F-14 Tomcats to IRAN of the Shah. Later as the Shah was killed by muslim fanatics and suddenly the CIA on behalf of the US supported Saddam Hussein the same guy they later fought cause he invaded the really peaceful Kuwait, Kuwait had no military and was attacked anyway

  • Dresden - i love you!

  • Hola soy de México y conocí Dresden, y me quede impactado por la ciudad, y por su historia en la segunda guerra mundial, un abrazo desde México.

  • how much of the original city is left after the destruction of ww2?

  • @sambo2566

look at the black stones of the "Frauenkirche" those are real once from the old times..the rest is bogus...that is as well describing the status of the rest of all historical Dresden buildings "they" are so proud of..."world heritage" gone due to a bridge of the Elbe...no due to be a bogus city..I am glad the "world heritage" status has gone...pull down these bogus stuff and start building Harris sculptures that what the world is waiting for. again my last words were sarcastic dudes

  • Wonderful, auhhh! Ich vermisse dich

  • nice

  • I live in this stunning place. :D

My dentist is in the Weiße Gasse and once I week I cross the river at night-time on my way to singing lessons, and there is this moment when (almost) all people in the tram turn around to look at the old town, which is then illuminated. It's very amusing, but the view IS wonderful.

I love the elderly woman at 6:50 ;)
