909chuck, as a working musician I have strong feelings about that great question you raise. Do musicians have a responsibility to the song and its relationship to the listener? If your career was good to you and you have a legacy of hits then not selling your wares is a great way to keep that legacy intact. But the music business is so difficult and changeable; I have no problem with artists "selling out." It might be the only selling that they ever do again. At least KATW had "Sunshine."
I remember in interviews the years the group spent playing for low pay in places like cheap Mediterranean resorts then hit the Katrinalode with Walkling and sold the rights for ads. My question is one of the ethics, of selling music (fans' precious memories) for gelt. If the songs were good to you, do you have a responsibility to be good to them and the muse who helped you?
Never heard this before because I was in a part of England when this came out with no MTV or Music Box at the time. I looked at the 1986 Billboard Hot 100 charts and came across this lost hit and thank God, I finally got to hear it. I love that bluesy rock feel that it has. Oh, and Katrina graduated from the same town in England as I attended?! That would be Lakenheath, wow.
Thanks for posting..."Waves" was a vastly underrated album after K&TW's first LP for Capitol and both "Is That It" and "Tears for Me" are great songs...
one of my fave songs of the 80's...first time I heard it was travelling in the middle of the night from a Dead show in Wisconsin to Cincinnati...wish I could find a nice live version!

This really showcases her voice; power doesn't begin to describe it. Now I want more of her music and wish she had been more successful.

Too great, someone should take this off. They're not ready yet, only been 25 years y'know. They're stupider still now..lol

Where did you tape this? I think it was the same place a Queen video I have was taped.
This is from their second Capitol album "Waves" which suffered from sophomore syndrome.

Love the power in Katrina's voice. It really shows on this cut.
