Good play so far. The dice palace has a lot of variables in it. I wondered how he went about finding the quickest possible way through it?

I'm thinking he didn't, he just banked on luck. I can't think of any other reason for this level to be so early in the run. If things go poorly he can just reset the genesis and run again, and hope for better luck.

When you're going for the fastest played record, I guess you put up with a lot of dumb stuff like that.

yeah thats good but in expert mode u are fucked with that cuz it cant kill as fast as the other difficulties.. its also good in 2 player co-op

Hey, you know when you're falling down the slope in the first level, you can hide behind the blue title at the top (by going to the far left of the screen) and you wont take any damage until you reach the bottom. Doesn't make you get to the bottom any quicker but it makes it easier.

there's 4 levels, a 5th level after those, then a level where you re-fight all the bosses, then you fight the final boss. it takes longer than you would think, especially with no gamesave system (on the genesis; I don't know about emulators on the PC) but its definitely doable within a day.

I LOVED this game so much, possibly one of the best ever on the Megadrive, so many little bits that made it cool, the 2 player co-op, the combining of different weapon types to get even cooler ones, the little data thing about the bad guy before they turned up, that quite bizarre board game level where you'd beat each other up so you could roll the dice before the other guy, and of course the fantastic bad guy names! I see Melon Bread has already been discussed....
