Well he will have good competition in the '08 Olympics in the 100. He's a great curse/bend runner.Common amongst American sprinters is their aggresive curve/bend running. MJ was awesome on curves. With Justin Powell out pretty much for life-it's Gay's for the taking for American sprinters.

However, there is data to suggest that having a "home" advantage is significant in ALL sports, and statistically, athletes perform better at "home". Although, some actually perform worse under this added "pressure" or "motivation".
