Interesting to see the new developments with CPR methods. The 2 - 30 approach is really outdated and when considering using the see through CPR from Zoll it really is an eye opener when it comes to the profusion state of the patient. We use the Zoll E series now and being able to look at the Rate and Depth of compressions while performing CPR on the monitor is fantastic.
Technology is increasing at a great rate. The important thing to always remember is the basics, and the theory behind them. It's all about the ability to get oxygen to those two major organs, brain and heart. The benefit of a machine which gives you depth of compression etc, is that it reminds us to perform good CPR, as the operator doesn't realise that they perform poor CPR after about 2-3 minutes. Thanks for the comment.
