2006 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Street Bike Review

would you recommend me this bike for my first.i like ninja 250 too but its too expensive for what it gives.i heard that kawasaki is a good brand to start with and learn to ride

I own this exact bike in this exact color and I wouldn't get it any other way. Love this color. Love this bike. Wicked fast and I easily outrun all my friends with their Suzuki, Honda, and Yamaha 600's. 06 Kawi 636 FTW!

My 20 year old son bought a KawasakiZZ6R 2 months ago, first time riding!!!! Bike is incredibly quick, will do 160 mph and it is light and nimble. Bike is a beast and is a helluva bargain, looks like it's doing 80 mph even parked in garage.

Just got this same bike last week and I love everything about it,I noticed there is a switch right above the starter button but I don't know what is for,it almost looks like the signals switch,does anyone knows what is for?

i like the extra CC's and I learned on a 250 ninja so I kinda bleed green.. go to your dealer and sit on both if they have a used 636 on the floor.. I'm always a fan of the bikes u see less on the road, too bad i cant afford an aprilia lol

Low on bhp because your using crappy american fuel, fuel in Europe has higher octane therefore you do get the power the factory are claiming. Man that 107 is at least 10bhp down on wat it should be.

Octane for European and North American fuels are calculated differently, 100 octane (RON) in Europe is approximately equivalent to 94 octane (R+M/2) in North America.

you will only make more horsepower with higher octane if you raise compression in the motor and/or increase timing. And because the tune of the US and european bikes is the same they will make the same horsepower, doesn't matter if its 87 or 110. If you only change the fuel then the only difference is how much it costs to fill up.

zx6r is only a 600cc and the zx6r was made up until 2005 and it was a 636cc.. but they only make the 600 now

i've got myself an 06 sx636r. this thing is just so easy to ride thru low revs. i was eally into the 06 r6. but it was jsut too high for me. n bottom end power cant compare to the 636

of those I would go with the '06 zx6r because of that 636, but after this years test I am really wanting that new '07 CBR600RR, what a great bike to ride

The new '07 CBR600RR is $1000 more than the 2006 ZX-6R that I bought. For my 636 I just installed $850 worth: full exhaust (used), PCIII, K&N air filter, flushmount signals. I still have $150 in my pocket, not to mention a bike that is every bit as light and a hell of a lot more powerful than a stock CBR600RR. A stock 636 has more power over a broader range to begin with, just ask Kevin Duke. Honda is crazy for asking $9,599.
