  • Will you do a product review for a curl& style cream emoore@ncchart.com

  • Thank you for doing these reviews! Lord knows I don't have the money to go out and buy all of these products!

  • strange,in germany we dont have herbal essences curl shampoo, conditioner etc...i never used herbal essences but if there would be a curl shampoo-i would have buy it...n i know tht u guys in US got fructis curl shampoo..we also dont have this here ._. other fructis products ya..but not the curl line...but ma hair dislike garnier fructis n pantene

  • great review very blunt just how most gurus shuld b especially the prt bout how yu dnt money 2 just b spendin cuz it really tru

  • you look mixed. i love your hair texture.

  • Great video and thank you for the information! I switched from vitamin E to jojoba oil (Trader Joe's) for hair and skin, which is closer to our natural body oils and lighter. As a leave in conditioner, I mix jojoba oil with my current favorite conditioner-Trader Joe's Nourish SPA and the poo is good also with low sulfate. You may want to check them out and review. XOXO

  • Very well done, you made a lot of good points about all the products. U kinda remind me of Christina Millian

  • Feel the EXACT same way about the curls line!!! I Used it ONCE and felt like dang my hair is hard and dry and brought it to work and gave it to an Indian girl there. Figured it wasnt for Black women. It did me soo wrong i have ZERO interest in Selling it.

  • in my opinion i just use moisture shampoo and conditioner

  • Hi, Im a new subbie. I just wanted to say that I loved the part when u shared that all the products smell great. Right now I am in a phase to wear if a product doesnt smell like candy, sunshine & rainbows its not going in my hair. lolz, I just refuse to do it unless it smells great,so its good to know with thos I wont hav that problem.

  • I have the same problem with Curls' creams. My hair needs moisture because it is kinkier. I personally decided that I will not purchase Curls Whipped Cream for two reasons, 1. It is expensive & 2. The moisture only lasts for a couple hours and it is back dry again, which forces me to use more, therefore spend more. For me Unrefined West African Shea butter on wet hair keeps my hair soft for six days, plus I can buy 3lbs of it for under $20 that last over two years if properly store.

  • THANKS THE OIL AND CONDITIONER TIP. IM SO GRATEFUL. USED THE SUAVE SHEA BUTTER CONDITIONER AND OLIVE OIL AND IT WORKED.

  • Your hair looks great in this vid.

  • pretty hair. thx

  • WHAT DO U THINK ABOUT CAROL'S DAGHTER -HAIR MILK FOR CULY HAIR?

  • Loreal Springing curls spary gel!!!! the Ish

  • I have the same issues of dried hair the next day regardless of the OILS .I did curls line stuff as well,

  • She is fine... is that your real hurr?

  • how your hair looks today is how my natural hair looks is that your natural hair style? so i know if it will work on my hair

  • This is so encouraging for me. I've viewed five of your videos tonight alone and I've found them so helpful. I'm going into my 11th month perm free and I look forward to having healthy NATURAL hair!

    Thx D!

  • if your hair is not naturally curly . . can you get it ?

  • great video!!! i love ur makeup and ur hair!!!

  • I don't know the ingredients, but if I had to guess the Pantene gel probably had too much Carbomer in it.

  • yes! i thought i was the only one who felt the Pantene left my hair dry! i also can't use Garnier either it strips all the oils from my hair and leaves it brittle. i like Dove, Loreal and Finesse - they keep my hair soft and moist

  • Totally agree. I don't see the big deal about curls biz. I do like the whipped cream for my twists out results but other than that I'm not so crazy about their products.

  • can you do a video on how you achieved the look in this video (hair and make up)? if you have already, please direct me to where I can view it. And also, do you apply direct treatment to your scalp? If so, please show us how you treat your scalp. Do you apply grease only, oil only, or both? Can you discuss the benefits of either?

    Thanks so much!

  • could u do a tutorial with ur hair like that x

  • That's because those products have alcohol in them. I normally read ingredients before I buy any hair products and alcohol in any products really make natural hair very hard and crunchy.

  • Have you ever tried Kinky Curly and Knot Today? This enhances your natural curls and does not dry your hair.

  • hey! It seems like your on a quest for the best curly hair product for you...and meanwhile, you're straightening it until that day arrives...do you think that the heat styling tampers with the results of your curly hair products? Just asking because I found it had a large influence on my hair. Subscribe to my channel.

  • I have 4a hair, this whipped cream is a no go for me, my hair was all ready dry, this stuff when wet looked great but when it dried I did not like it at all. I tried..I am sorry to say that for me this item is a No. I had recently colored my hair...the whipped cream made both my hair and skin itch.......I was so frustrated I got myself out of bed and rinsed this stuff out of my hair and put pure virgin olive on my hair and braided it in 6 braids.

  • where do you purchase your curly hair products?

  • Gosh, I have hair like yours, but yours is gorgeous. Lol, I really don't know how ot deal with it. My hair is really long but comes up to myshoulders because of the curl. Hate ittt.

  • Good review!

  • what products do you use to prevent breakage to your hair?

  • what if you dont want curly hair? what products do you use to prevent breakage/

  • I also style my naturally curly hair with conditioners that are supposed to be wash out only. I haven't had much luck with leaving in salon conditioners but store bought conditioners I have had a lot of luck with. I hope you find what you're looking for :)

  • g8 review!!!!! ....did ya try da soft n free moisturizer??? its very low priced, smells yummy n it provides a lot of moisture to curly hair! :D

  • Have you ever used Kinky Curly products? I have type 4a hair that is very thick and hell to manage, and I wanted to know, do you know any other bloggers that have that hair type? Your hair beautiful and seems like it is a LOT easier to manage due to the looser curl patern, but is there someone else you know? Thanks!

  • Thank you for the product review.

Can you tell me how do you determine what grade of natura hair you have. My hair is fine and soft when it is long and still soft short, but in it's natural state it looks dry and after shampooing sometimes it stays dry no matter how much moisterizer I put on it.

Thank you again, your videos are a blessing.

  • It's NOT superficial at all DPrincess28 I agree with you. That's why I use Cantu. If it doesn't smell good I WON'T USE IT. LOL

  • I'm surprised at Pantene, too. Maybe they meant the products for people who don't have naturally curly hair but want some. That might explain why the shampoo and conditioner strips (or clarifies) the hair because it's meant for straight textures (which tend to produce more oil)??? I don't really know...just a shot in the dark. hmmm

  • I use herbal essence totally twisted curls and waves (that stuff is awesome) as a regular rinse out conditioner with a sulfate free shampoo and my hair stays soft all week until I wash it again.

  • Hi !! Have you ever tried Noodle Head; they sell at Sally's and come in Orange and Purple Packaging( i am not sure the brand because im not near them) Just another option, I love them and they work well, when my hair dries it is soft not hard !! Thanks for this review !!!

  • I appreciate this =]

  • Good luck. I've been searching for the perfect product and it hasn't happened yet. I have combinations of products that work but that gets expensive.

  • do not use Pantene...it has ingrediants that your hair or scalp doesn't need like wax!

  • I have a queston...when u started yur journey to be natural did u dothe Big Chop r did u grow your relax hair out? i am having troubles finding a shampoo and conditiner for bth textures so im lost on what to do....

  • Great review! I tried the Pantene products as well and they were horrible! I used it for about a couple of days and I just gave up, because my hair was so bad! I agree, curly hair needs products with moisture in it!

  • omgosh that is so true partene totally distoried my hair...i tried scrunching my hair with its new moose and styling gel let me tell you it was a diseater i've never tried scrunching it before that was my first time EVER scrunching my hair and i-am-so-discourage from doing that. but i still want to lol but with the right syling tools i really need help there :)

  • i have natural curly hair as well...in order for my hair to stay moist, i sleep with plastic cap on as if i have jheri curls, wet in the morning again and reapply the products and let air dry

  • your eye shadow looks wonderful with your skin tone.. jealous =]

  • You are so beautiful and I love your hair!

  • I need a lot of curl hair product.

  • I have a question I'm transitioning so I have new growth to hide it. I'm using rod curls the thing is my curls get dry so I just washed my hair today. After, washing and putting the rod curls on Friday. My question is for girls who are transitioning how many times can we wash our hair during the week because I want to wash it twice a week?

  • ur makeuup is marvelous. is that mac, ;)

  • The cones in the HETT could have dried your hair out...my hair is the same way. I get great slip, and then when my hair dries it's like straw.

  • your supposed to rinse it out at night!

leave it in for the day, rinse out at night.. especially if you have dry hair, because when it dries it sucks up all the moisture.. leaving conditioners in really depends on your hair type..

  • Beautiful hair great vids.. I wil be uploading another vid tonight.. I subscribed honey make sure u do the same. Happy Holidays!

  • Another great review!

  • My fav is Worlds of Curls with a little coconut oil added to retain moisture. Also like Wave Noveau products for dudes who hate to touch hair that have gel in it, because it doesn't feel tacky, or oily.

  • Have you tried any of the Qhemet Biologics products? They are having a black friday sale tomorrow. I've heard great things about the Alma and Olive Heavy Cream.

  • Hey you should use this product called DEVA CURL, i was reviewing some of the things that you said about moisture and how important it is. They use a sulfate/lather free shampoo, and moisturzing condition, it seems really nice, i am going to try it you mite love it, just a suggestion, hopefully you could do a product review on it

  • VO5 conditioner is great. You have to make sure that it does not have protein in it and the conditioner is fine to leave in your hair.

  • I agree about the curly hair needing moisture. its terrible people dont realise that yet.

herbal essences hello hydration is AMAZING. and it smells like coconut for weeks seriously lol.

i love your hair by the way. would u want to do a hair tutorial for it? it looks so good i just wanna know how to do it lol

  • @shygirl4eva1 i used tht and i love it but now im trying pantene for curly hair

  • i tried the conditioner as daily conditioner as well and it left my hair dry as well.

  • Hey have you tried Miss Jessie's?? or been to their salon for your natural curly hair??

  • you my favorite on youtube to watch...luv your vids.

  • does that work? What about on natural hair too?

  • I love that shimmery eye shadow. I think that your ''blow out, gone wrong'' looks great too!

  • i agree with the make up and hair. the make up is flawless.

  • I completely agree with curly hair needing moisture, im hispanic and my hair is real curly and without that moisture my hair looks like a nest!!!!! lol!

I myself have tried TONS of products for curly hair, judging by personal experience I would DEFINITELY recommend MANE AND TAIL products (shampoo and conditioner mainly) softens and thickens the hair making it look and feel healthy, shiny and strong!!!!

I dont even need gel or mousse anymore! :)

Ladies, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!! =D

  • What is "the white girl flow"?

  • i like this video you get to the point but it has detail good job

  • thanks!

  • U. should try using Honey, Honey is a Humectant which means it holds water molecules, which helps prevent frizz, leaves yours hair shiny and soft. not dry or sticky.

  • You make the best product review videos! Very thorough!

  • thank you so much! you really told us the truth and i did try the pantene for curls and it did not work! you are a very good speaker!

  • World of Curls is my favorite. Great for naturally curly hair or permed. I add a bit of coconut oil. I believe it helps stops breakage.

Please tell me what is co washing your hair?

  • lol thanks just was just browsing threw videos bt think you look like christina millian to me a little bit might sound a little crazy lol

  • Great reviews. I love your videos! You're definitely one of my favorite gurus because your honest and informative with a great attitude as well!

  • Thank you! I appreciate the support! XOXO

  • I hate to sound dumb but what is co washing?

  • @blahblah162005 I think it's when you mix products instead of staying consistent with one brand for both shampooing and conditioning.

  • @DPrincess28 is that ur hair its very pretty..wats ur texture??

  • have you tried the newganier fructise triple nutrients, and theyhave a cream gel that mixes well with creame moisturizers

  • The wave nouveau mousse is really great also you should try it its from softsheen carson

  • when i use pantene curls line it was horrible because when i start using i got a lot dandruff

  • hey great video. have you ever tried John Freida Dream Curls Curl Perfector??? I use this and i think its really great my curls are so pretty after i use this :)

  • After testing many curly products I came to conclusion that water and gel do justice for my hair period. I tried Miss Jessie, KCC and Curls and they were all a waste of my dollars.

  • this message is for ALL AFRICAN AMERICAN... use "yes to cucumbers" product. It will make Pantene, dark & lovely, pink moisturizer etc.. look like a bootleg product. Use the "yes to cucumbers leave - in conditioner and conditioner in the shower" and a bottle (bigger than pantene) is $14.99 most black people do not know anything about organics much less read the ingredients in the back - but organic products is the BEST product for african american hair. PLEASE TRY IT!! YOU CAN GET IT AT WALGREENS

  • Natural fruit and nut oils are better than using petroleum / mineral oil based products.

Petros aids in split ends and the scalp hair pores clogged.

  • Hey DPrincess28, i luv your vids. When i buy a shampoo i can't use on my hair, i will usually use it to clean my brushes, combs and to wash my satin caps. I hate wasting $.

  • they als0 have a hydrating curls line...

  • your hair is so pretty. You look pretty with black hair

  • Thanks hun!

  • I tried that Pantene gel for curls when I tried my 2 strand twist out....wasn't a good look. LOL but I do now know what to use.

  • About how maany products did u try

  • Have you ever tried " Worlds of Curls, curl activator"?

I find it very moisturizing and it defines the curls nicely.

    :-)

  • Girl yes. What do you think I've been styling my hair with all this time, LOL! I featured it in my favorite products video, and in my "How I get my natural curls to pop" video. XOXO

  • ooo my bad

I've watched those videos too, I guess I just forgot.

    :-)

  • why are the herball essence conditioners so good? I use them too, but i think here is too much alcohol in it.... great video by the way!! :)

  • Thanks for the product review. Out of the Herbal Essence line, Hello Hydration seems to be the most moisturizing for my 4a hair.

    Your makeup looks pretty!

  • Your hair and your makeup looks nice! =)

  • Thanks!

  • I love your videos! How are you wearing your hair in thisvideo?

  • have you tried infusium23?

  • Hi DPrincess28!

Enjoyed your video! Thanks for encouraging your subscribers to find what works for them. I believe there is so much product hype and some of the natural products are so expensive! Glad to know you are sticking to the basics and not spending an arm and a leg on hair products. After all, if you're like me ... I'd rather spend that money on purses and shoes. From one Diva to another ....

  • Thank you, and I definitely agree about the product hype...and the purses and shoes. Let's not forget makeup and clothes too :-). XOXO

  • hie i want to go fr the natural curly without necesssarily using a hott comb or rollers hw do i do so....lke ellis rose's curls hlp

  • lol wow i lovelovelove your make-up u should so do make-up showz too lolz:) love itt!

  • Does any of the products that you use have petroleum, mineral oil, isoproply alcohol, or parabens of any kind? If so these ingredients sits on the hair so you hair does not get any moisture.

  • why don't you used kinky curky products

  • Too expensive!

  • I do not like pantene products at all.. i wish they worked for me but they dont....

  • if its not made especially for black hair lol..that pantene stuff really is terrible for your hair..all my white friends have said the same thing...its horrible..and some of them have straight hair..

  • As usual, very very helpful video.

Now I can avoid the first two, but I only wish I had taken your word for it on the blog about the Herbal Essences. My hair was actually making "crunching" sounds the next day. Added more water, more conditioner, some of the gel-- dear Lord, it was awful.

All these months and dollars later, I'm finding the "cheap" Suave is doing the trick for me.

    Great review- keep 'em coming!

  • Wow... and I like the Pantene Curls Shampoo & conditioner. Makes my hair silky and not stripped at all. But the B&B hair dressing and World of Curls gel method makes my hair yucky and unmanageable. It's so true that you have to find what works best for your hair. But I LOVE your videos they have helped me a GREAT DEAL! My fav co-wash conditioner right now is Bed Head Moisture Maniac.

Keep 'em coming sis! Peace & Blessings

  • great video !!! :)

  • make-up looks great can't keep my eyes off urs...... lol

  • i love your videos. i am thinking of transitioning without a big chop and trying to get suggestions on how to care for transitioning hair for the health and preservation of your hair. your videos have helped me so much. loved the product review. thanks! :0)

  • and also try a shampoo with no sulfate and ur curls will redifine themselves...i promise you!!!

  • where did you get the short looks lusters pink gel?

  • At my local beauty supply store, but you can get it on Amazon.

  • i love this review!

i also like ur makeup! can u do a tutorial on it pleas?

  • Fantastic Video!!!!

  • Awesome review, DPrincess28!!

  • Thanks girl :-)! XOXO

  • Jonathan gel is 100% vegan and has lots of great ingredients in it, as opposed to other gels where they are harsh and drying for the hair. I bought some for half the price at TJ Maxx, try it if you are looking for a new gel:-)

  • love the review! thanks!

  • glad to see u back i've missed u haven't seen u in a while. can i make a request?? i haven't seen u do makeup in a while can u do a eyeshadow? i love what u have on this vid. love it and again nice to see ya again

  • Thanks hun! I do makeup tuts on my blog all the time, so check it out. If you want something specific though, let me know & I'll do my best to hook it up :-)!

  • Love this Review!

Just became a subscriber a couple weeks ago. Any videos for Deep Conditioning? Plan to check out the blog soon.

  • My hair gets bone dry as well. I have made this to moisturize my hair, you might want to try it to see if it helps you also:

    4 ounces of Distilled/Purified Water,

2 ounces of Aloe Vera Juice,

    1 ouce of Vegetable Glycerin

2 or 3 drops of your favorite carrier or essential oil

This mixture will need to stay in the fridge because it does not contain any preservatives in it.

  • I saw a youtube video where a girl used a combination of John Frida Frizz Ease Curl spray and Soft Sheen's Curl activator. Well I've tried it and it works pretty good. If you don't use too much your hair feels just fine but if you use too much after the hair dries the hair feels sticky.

  • Great reviews....i have tried the herbal essence line and in my experience the hello hydration as a leave in styling aid leaves my hair moisturized and defines my curls great....next day hair all i have to do is lightly spritz with water and go......

  • While on vacation i went to the beach and pool water everyday. I left all my hair products at home except for my moisterizing spirtz. one of my fiends had herbal essense color me happy conditioner, i must say for that to be the only product in my hair, my hair was moisterized pretty good. i was so impressed with it that ipurchased it after coming home from my vacay. So i guess it depends on hair type and an individuals hair. I'm a 4b, 4c and my friend is a 3b, everybodies hair reacts differently

  • Yes.... Suave is really good. Did you mist your hair before reapplying it?

  • Yes. I always spritz with water to reactivate my curls, but it still dried out by the end of the day.

  • Great review...thanks for sharing. I use TIGI BedHead Moisture Maniac and seal it with Tea Tree Oil or EVOO. I love it so much.

  • Absolutely great review! thanks alot!!

  • Good Review!!!

    Kisses =)

  • Hi Princess, with the Herbal Essence line, if you leave the conditioner in, for day 2 u have to spritz it with water to "loosen" it up or "wake it up" for the day and it will "reactivate " the conditioner and it should be fine. Try that & lemme know cuz I luv luv luv herbal essence and I too learned it from Teri.

  • great vid. I have a question though that I hope you could answer. I have wavy, kinky hair (actually, when i let it air dry i looks like your hair does in this vid only very frizzy.) I exercise a lot and, as you know, my edges get really wavy. I wanted to know if you know of any products I could use that would help me to sport my natural texture. I lovvve the way your hair looks in this vid and thats the way I would love to wear my hair on those in between days. Any suggestions on what I can use?

  • Hey hun. Sorry, but I'm not good at recommending products because I truly believe everyone has to experiment and find what works best for them. As you can see, I'm always experimenting with my hair. Sorry I can't be of more help :(

  • Lookin good Gurl! Thanks for the review!

  • Thank you and you're welcome!

  • Eco Styler with oile oil is supposed to be really good. Lia81 did a comparision between the Eco Styler and Kinky Curly and the look was almost identical but at a fraction of the cost. They didnt have the product in my beauty supply store so I am still looking to try for myself.

  • Your eyes look great in this video.... and so cute....

  • That Herbal Essence dried my hair out too. But when I use bedhead moisture maniac as a leave in and sealed with EVOO it worked great.

  • you look good girl!!!! well done!!

  • Thanks!

  • I leave Suave in my hair too, sealed with olive oil, i like it

  • The pantene in the brown bottle for black people dried my hair so badly, that it broke off, but the pantene for white people is so good to my hair! I don't understand how that is, but the was my experience w/ those products!!!

  • same thing happened to me!

  • Your eye makeup is beautiful, may I ask what brand/color is it?

  • Thanks sweetie. The tutorial and product info is on my blog. Check it out at glorycrown.blogspot(.com)

  • thanks!

  • Great review, it was very helpful you comparing it to the products you already use, thank you

  • I, myself, have been natural for 11 months. Though i have never worn my natural hair via kinky twist, micros, and pixie braids, I am very excited to try some new products to see just how well my hair BAM! Thanks for all the reviews! They're very helpful. ;)

  • You're very welcome! Glad you find them helpful :-).
