Anime Vs Whatever: Highlander - The Live Action Film Vs The Anime Film

I saw the anime movie back when the Sci-Fi Channel was showing the Ani-Monday block, but for some reason they pulled it. I was halfway through Star Blazers: The Quest for Iscandar when that happened. So far it was pretty good. The Highlander anime was cool and live-action movie was great as well. After seeing Spoony's review of Highlander 2, I think it should've been a prequel franchise. Great video, as always. Sorry for the late comment.

I agree 100%with the follows up the Highlander movies failing comapred to the First one. In fact i stop watching after the Third one, but I know people who watched End Game and what ever Movie 5 is called. I thought the T.V series was So So, never watched The Raven though. as for the Anime Movie, never saw it yet. However this has peaked my interest in it quite abit. Awesome Video man, now if you excuse me. I have Anime DVD to track down. Rally-Ho.

The Kurgan's hilarious, he's one of the funniest bad guys I've seen in a movie. I find it pretty funny that Conner McCloud is actually more creepy than he is.

@whoisyouranime That's not really what I meant. I don't really mean Conner's creepy. I meant that the bad guy is so funny and over the top that even the hero is more creepy than him. It's kinda like saying "man, care bears are scarier than you" that isn't to say that Care Bears are scary cause they're not, it's just a form of expression

I have a question for you hardy. As I said in the last comment, I've never seen any of the Highlander movies. But do you need to watch the Highlander sequels before the anime, despite them being very bad to a lot of people?

I'm asking that because I want to make sure if the sequels have a connection with each other in their storylines or are they each sequels with stand alone stories.

A very talented actor like Sean Connery vs. a very talented voice actor like Scott McNeil that is called the "Mel Blanc of canadian voice acting" because of how he changes his voice in everything he does voice work in.

Can't get anymore epic then that. I haven't seen any of those movies. But if I were to watch both of them, I could see myself sticking with Connery's character then McNeil's character.

I liked the first "Highlander" movie, and I have a better cut of the sequel (which I personally enjoy). This anime came on SyFy one time during a slot called "AniMonday", didn't the whole thing but, I can say the animation was very good. Hope you have a good Christmas.
