Anyone who would like to do this but is scared of heights, be assured that surprisingly, a fear of heights is not relevant here. It doesn't feel like you are high because you have no objects like buildings near you, that stretch down to the ground.
It merely looks like a flat portrait painting.
For anyone concerned about a 'rollercoaster feeling', you don't get that either as shortly after exit, the relative wind rushing up at you makes you feel like you're lying on a cushion of air.
question...do they set hight limits whaen you dive, cuz im planning on trying and i was just wondering if for your first time, they only take you to a certon hight
@123vonreich1 yes, you have to do a few tandem or auto deploy solo before you can do a solo freefall like you seen in this video... they want you to know what a skydive is like before your responsible for pulling your own chute release, otherwise people would be flying into the ground... first solo auto deploy is usually from 5000 feet, this was probably 12000-13000 feet and they pull chute at 5000
man i want to go so bad but can someone who has actually went tell me how to actaully not be scared to jump and also is the feeling like on a roller coaster?
i am just about to complete my aff training and i feel inspired to try different moves other than just "arch" while doing my solo jumps. i always felt compelled to try what i describe as a "corkscrew" move, where i imagine tracking but spinning at the same time. is this one of the maneuvers you did on the video? could you describe your body position on that? thanks, and blue skies...
@kratorz1 haha same with me ... i think it's the fear the rollercoaster will go off the rails or something for me ... and yet i've never given a thought to the much more likely event of the parachute failing!! i agree: we're messed up :P
I dream to make it one day...soon

@111111ronald111111 it's about a minute of freefall, then about 5 to 10 minutes riding the canopy down to the ground...

It is a gopro HD hero. It was shot in 720P 60fps mode, although youtube reduces the framerate down to 30fps.
