Many of the major technological advancements of the 20th century took several years even decades to completely integrate into our global society. While some current advancements are speeding up do to the vast knowledge and improved technology we have today major advancements such as teleportation, time travel, and interstellar space travel are still far off.

We haven't been visited by people from the future because in the future everyone is dead. While the tremendous advancements in technology humans have made over only 109 years it doesn't mean that the future will be just as great. Humans may predict a grand future with extreme technological advancements but when it actually comes to implementing these into mainstream society... The future is mostly entirely unknown, a natural, man-made, or extra terrestrial disaster may spell the end for us.

Even a cautious 'visitor' that stayed in the shadows would inadvertently make a small disruption and cause major unpredictable changes to have taken place by the time they returned (or rather went ahead on the now-altered timeline). Even if time was a circle, it would throw off the entire curve or make an alternate one. The only way it could have ever happened at all in history is if this reality we know now is a result of an unexpected alteration error of space-time!
I'd also like to hear answers from you about "time travel" that would be more insightful than his. Lederman also admitted to not fully understanding time in his answers.....dick head!
