  • the bandits were in helicopters wearing uniforms, no trouble till they came

  • 11 protestants lined up and shot, why aren't they still doing this stuff, sounds great

  • @Bananayoghurt1000 You're a moron. You do realise the Republican movement was founded by Protestants? there has always been Protestant activists involved in the struggle. The people who murdered those 11 innocent men were scum, what did killing those people achieve towards a united Ireland?

  • @peacefrog1916

Did I say anything about a united Ireland ? I just don't like dirty black bastards and it makes my day hearing about their deaths, hope it picks up again in the future.

  • viva la bandit country.oh ye theres no brits there any more.when they were they were to scared to walk down the street. ha ha they were scared little tourists waiting for one shot paddy to bump them off as they so often did.

  • fine place bandit country...

  • Ofcourse Connollys remark is correct, but we cannot say that just because theese problems remains, we should not care about what nation we belong to.

  • Ulster has 9 counties northern ireland 6....their has NEVER been a time when their was a majoroty of loyalists or people who are other than irish but living in ulster! Ulster like Ireland as a whole is by far mostly Irish and RC although Republicanism was born among protestant men and has always had protestant members...just like the rest of the e.u. SECULAR

  • TazOg1916, read the book "The Cross of Saint Patrick: The Catholic Unionist Tradition in Ireland" , ISBN 0946041261 before making any further comments on this issue.

  • read it! that cross was designed by englishmen to fit the jack...the book changes nothing! the vast majority of people to call themselve Irish are not unionists and St.Patrick dedicated his time to preserving Gealic culture that was then partly out-lawed by the Ulster Plantation the single biggest even that mad any unionism possable.Catholic Unionist is barrded from the biggest unionist groups in Ireland...the Orange,App boys etc...also masonism is an act of judging one not on their own merrit

  • Hmm am I reading this right? 'St Patrick dedicated his time to preserving Gaelic culture that was then partly outlawed by the Ulster Plantation'?? Was he in a time machine? over a thousand years between Patrick C400 and the plantation of Ulster after the Nine Years War and flight of the earls in 1607.

  • Anyone who believes in all that St. Patrick shite ....

  • brits out of ireland up the taliban freedom fighters

  • you people are unbelievable, people who come up with such bullshit don't deserve to have an opinion, or have my time spent on them, utter cunt

  • oh and how are you dealing with the fact the ira gave up, after realising the brits are too nang

  • job creation he talks about, another excuse to keep the jobless figures down, thats all it was, exploited by employers, who in return got cheap labour,in a nutshell work for your dole money,so everybody ripped off their employer, and was sacked, back to square one,get your dole money the same but not work for it.

  • The sad thing with Ireland is no matter how far back in history you go it's always been occupied. Its a hard nut to crack. You cannot expect those who are republician to pledge to the crown and those who are loyalist to pledge to the republic. The problem will never go away it boils and simmers constantly like a pot on a stove. Only when all the oil is gone or all the water is gone will the one true liquid be left.

  • I live in Armagh. Your right. Im a republican but ive looked at both sides of the argument. Ive still come to the conclusion that Ireland belongs to the Irish. I do however realise that there are unionists here and they too have a right to be here. It is however inevitable that there will be an all Ireland nation formed. Its becoming all but on paper from our water and gas workers to our all-Ireland Institutions. Our day will come Tiocfaida ar la

  • @remedy63

yeah, but the majortiry still want to be still part of Btitain so we should be as the majority want it!

  • what about the EU there in control of ireland now as its in masses of date with Brussels

  • @remedy63 tiocfaidh ar la a chara!

  • @remedy63 God bless you mo chara, you expressed this very fitting sentiment in the most fantastic way. simply. thankyou

  • "Replace the [British] Union Flag with the [Irish] Tricolour and IRELAND'S PROBLEMS WILL STILL REMAIN, BECAUSE IRELAND'S PROBLEMS ARE [ESSENTIALLY] SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC". -- James Connelly

  • All my friends who are PhDs in British/Irish Political History AGREE WITH THIS POINT.

They have studied in UNIVERSITIES in London and Dublin as well as Oxford and Cambridge. What are YOUR QUALIFICATIONS ?!

  • I dont agree with you pointless in telling me what your friends say. But considering they were educated in england its going to be english politics they learn. Try living there and you will form you own opinion. Then you will realise that regardless of what anybody said when your afraid of turning down the wrong street or speaking to the wrong person the only way you see forward is a united ireland! Simple. As for my education? Its pointless explaining

  • An Coláiste Ollscoile, Baile Átha Cliath (University College Dublin) is IN IRELAND.

  • Again, If you friend convinced you of this you are clearly influenced easily but I tell you what, when the brits finally leave and your theory is proved right I will be the first to congratulate yourself and your friends. I have a degree and a masters and the one thing I learnt very early one mans hero is another mans villian. Take what you must from it.

  • connoly wrote that nearly 100 years ago things change you cant simply apply that to northern ireland now u ignorant prick!and if that was true why did connely fight aganst the british in 1916?

  • If you remove the English army tomorrow and hoist the green flag over Dublin Castle, unless you set about the organisation of the Socialist Republic your efforts would be in vain.England would still rule you. She would rule you through her capitalists, through her landlords, through her financiers, through the whole array of commercial and individualist institutions she has planted in this country and watered with the tears of our mothers and the blood of our martyrs."

  • or we can hoist the union jack over dublin castle which would be better!

  • @bobslay12 FUCK RIGHT OFF YOU HORRIBLE LITTLE CUNT

  • @BAZSLAVENovBRADFORD2 up the ra

  • Just live ireland free, and the blood shed will stop, don't they see that? the brits greed is the just geting the best of them, over the intrests of their own people a soiders, Leave ireland, its wasn't your land to begin with. nor was the england to the anglo-saxsons, if i read that right in my history book, im not saying they should give up england, just leave ireland and no more irish nor english blood will be spilt. I hope. erin go braugh

  • The IRA is decommissioned.

  • weeeellll jeez, aint the INLA still around? never heard anything about them being decommissioned or anything, besides, the IRA were irish citizens and such, anything else happens between the brit soldeirs and irish citizens, the IRA will rise again, not doubt. ^_^

  • I said IRA not INLA. In addition, the British army isn't in the north, ergo, there is no need for violence.

That doesn't mean there still isn't small gangs of thugs around (ie, INLA/UVF!) The fact is, a more peaceful approach is being taken at current.

That includes reform in the PSNI and disbandment of the RUC; to put it simply. The PSNI has more accountability than the RUC did.

The BA was there originally to help regain peace, to protect the Catholics! That, in turn, failed.

  • thats cause the INLA consist of 1 man and a dachshund named Neville.

  • Are they fuck!

  • Would you kiss your mom with that mouth?

And yes, officially, the P/IRA decommissioned.

That doesn't mean there isn't rouge thugs. But it's not the official statement of the organization.

  • lol

  • Yeah...that is the whole problem!!!!!!

  • There will always be thugs. Thankfully they don't speak for the majority. Believe it or not but there are some people who would like to get over this conflict once and for all and concentrate on living their lives. These thugs thrive on disunity. Violence is all they've ever known and they will stick to it. The real war is in changing mindsets.

  • Why not Ireland and the UK just share the north? Citizens who happen to live there have either citizenship from the UK or the ROI, and some more even have dual citizenship from both countries. So why not share? Maybe it can be a 'border country' as I'd like to call it.

  • Because the fuckin huns want to bring us back to being their subservants, if the brits got rid of the bigoted huns(yes I know the irony)i.e. the DUP, then they would have less problems.

  • if they were so afraid, why did they fire rockets into downing street , blow up manchester countless other towns, kill 18 paras the list goes on, surely these events wouldnt have happened , if they were all afraid of the sas,

  • At least we have peace now, and we will let the loyalists live free.

  • Favour irish unity!! Ireland NEVER was United in the first place....

Also Ireland doesnt want Northern Ireland as it would bring the Celtic tigers economy down, and it would be a big security Nightmare for the irish!..

  • Unionists are gay.

I would rather be a freeman than a vassel any day of the week.

Loyalists are all mixed up,like the tranvestite who thinks hes a woman trapped in a womans body.

  • TYPO:::

Loyalists are all mixed up,like the tranvestite who thinks hes a woman trapped in a mans body.

  • I think you like traps, otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned it!

Well, at least Freud would have agreed with me.

  • Too fucking right they are chicks with dicks

  • keeping northern ireland british

wipe the republican vermin of the streets

up the brits all the way

  • without the british there would be no wars in the world!!!get out of ireland

  • The British did invent the modern concentration camp during the Boer War. I think 20 to 30 thousand Afrikaner civilians died in them. But let's look forward, dont for get the past (TRUTH), but still move ahead in peace (RECONCILIATION).

  • the fools the fools the fools. they have left us our fenian dead. and whilst ireland holds those graves ireland unfree will never be at peace

  • its all over,end the bitterness !!!

  • Can all you plastic Provos please stop deluding yourselves. Your cowards have murdered kids for 38 years for what?? So that you could live in the six counties under British rule with a border separating the Republic....No change there then!!! Ever feel sold out bhoys?? ;o)

  • The fight is not over, we will not rest until the British are out of Ireland for good.

  • That will only happen if the Protestant Unionist population who are the majority in Northern Ireland agree to join us in the South in a 32 county Irish Republic. Bombing and shooting them into surrender achieved nothing. The Unionists will probably never agree to a United Ireland. That's democracy and Republicans just have to accept reality. Killing innocent men women and children achieved nothing.

  • ? you are an ignorant man, majorty??? certain parts to england have a majority muslin population, should they be able to have a mini mulsin state? in the name of democracy? the majority protestant population in Ni is getting smaller and the MAJORITY of IRISH want the British out.

  • Ok if Muslims set up a mini-muslim state in Britain it would be impossible to persuade them to rejoin the UK if the non-muslim British reacted with a military crackdown and terrorised them into submission. Instead of negotiating with Irish MP's who simply wanted Irish independence the Brits thought they had a Bolshevik revolution on their hands and sent the Black and Tans to Ireland.

  • Thats not the whole truth though. The partitioning Of Ireland is a particularly complicated issue. As the majority of people on the island of Ireland are pro unity from a republicans view point that negates any thought of unionist majority

  • When the British were cracking down on terrorists in ulster they used a pig-headed policy of collective punishment pf the Catholic population and used pro-British loyalist terrorists to assassinate people.

    The IRA were equally pig-headed.

Instead of actually achieving military objectives it led to the murder of innocents caught between both sides. That's the point i'm trying make.

  • Ye are the lads that have sold out, think about you had majority rule and fucked it up so now we're in government. You lads have lost, we have gained

  • Killing children???? look at your brave British ARMY, Murdered hundreads of thousands of innocent children accross the world, in a war agains terror??? more lke a war of terror! theiving british animals

  • haha i agree! were just taking the piss politically now..a nation once again united ireland 32

  • The South Armagh IRA was the most effective IRA unity ever. The british could never penetrate it or do anything at that matter. South Armagh IRA all the way.

  • no tom barrys unit were by alot

  • BrennanMan: "The british could never penetrate it or do anything at that matter"....You probably think Burns and Moley Blew themselves up....or were they blown up??

  • no. if you can read, then read the history of the SAS in NI by mark urban. it is 1 of many books that show how deeply our intelligence services penetrated your upstart terrorist group. you still have informers coming out of the woodwork to this day. and dont live in a dreamworld the ira and inla were absolutely scared shitless of the SAS and what they could and did do. effective at what exactly? ethnic cleansing in the border area or just the murder and indiscriminant bombing of civilians?

  • yeah british..LOOK DIV THE PROVOS ONE THE WAR..WERE SINN FEIN BRITISH IN 1983 NO ARE THEY NOW HELL NO..THE ART OF WAR SON TACTICS WE HAVE A MAN WHO WHOULDNT TALK TO A CATHOLIC 20 YEARS AGO LICKING GERRYS BALLS NOW must be his age...sinn fein are skimming the brits dry...and hear they aint never going to get there 26million back HAHA

  • I totally agree a chara though the sas capturing Michael Caragher(1 shot sniper),Seamus McCardle, Bernard McGinn etc in a barn in cregganduff in 1997 and i'll quote them "The most important and damaging thing ever carried out in 35 years" The sas ordered not to kill the sniper team shows how powerfull Sinn Féin are. If they had gave us more martyrs by killing the sniper team the war would still be going on.

The boys where released 3-4 years later anyway lol

    Up The Provies

  • wat a foolish brainwashed cunt u are. what war? there was no war in Northern Ireland, only a murderous campaign by a terrorist group claiming to be freedom fighters and a legal, justified response from the British government to counter the scum. you won nothing your sinn fein sit in a devolved government a part of the UK and have ministers in a UK local government. fair play to paisley he has changed for the better while people like you are still blind and bitter.

  • NICE TO SEE AFTER ALL THERE KILLING!!! that sinn/fein/ira are in a British Government!! ITS GOOD TO SEE THAT "SO CALLED REPUBLICAINS HAVE NOW ACCEPTED THAT THEY ARE BRITISH"

  • You spend too much time playing the skin flute, Sammy.

    Up the INLA

    Up the PIRA

    TAL / Up the Peace

  • your british lol

  • You ain't british. Your a subject of the UK. Have a look on your passport, although I wouldn't expect you to be able to afford one. It says the united kingdon of Great Briton and northern ireland. Britain is the island of Scotland,England and Wales. northern ireland is on the island of Ireland and is a subject, or colony of the UK. It is not part of Britain

  • We are part of the United Kingdom.

    And proud to be.

  • Good for you. We, the majority who live in Britain would prefer to have nothing to do with you. Always remember that

  • if that was the case we wouldnt be part of the UK then would we!!!

You seem like you need to go back to school.

  • Do you honestly believe the british public want anything remotely to do with the north of Ireland or its people. The majority of people in britain actually favor Irish unity. The British government would probably leave Ireland tomorrow if it could. A tax draining, security nightmare/embarrasing remnant of empire.

  • Favour irish unity!! Ireland NEVER was United in the first place....

Also Ireland doesnt want Northern Ireland as it would bring the Celtic tigers economy down, and it would be a big security Nightmare for the irish!..

  • That's right Ireland was never united, except it actually was. Ironic using that argument when your ancestors were likely not in the country at the point of the kingdom of Ulster. As for the rest of your fellow Irish not wanting the other 6 counties of Ulster, Opinion polls have always suggested otherwise

  • how was ireland never united in the first place,id love to here how you came this conclusion.ireland was united and will be again, its inevitable

  • @Tennents No they don't you retard. Get an education.

  • @fatherfluffybottom Care to tell me what your on about? as it was about 3 years ago that any of they comments were written.

Retard? Get an education? Extremely rich coming from someone who seems to spend time filming tractors.

  • @Tennents You Douchebag. Why is that comment 'rich' because I film tractors? That has nothing to do with an education. However coming out with comment such as "The majority of Britain favour Irish unity" would lead me to believe you are in fact an ignoramus and also imbecilic.

    Or in simple terms for a simple person;

    YOU ARE A SPASTIC!

  • @fatherfluffybottom a statement very difficult to conclusively prove or deny I'll give you that. However most independant opinion polls paint a similar picture, and unquestionably a huge amount of ordinary decent british people have absolutely no truck with the loyalism of those in the six counties and would rather it was of no connection to them.

  • @Tennents Amen to that. I'm an english born man, of Irish stock, and republican Irish stock at that, and I absolutely back up your statement that the overwhelming majority of English people despise the loyalists for their treachery to their own people. The nationalist community get much more respect because they are fighting for their own country, whilst the loyalists are doing the English dirty work, and are despised for it too. FACT. so all you wannabe English fags, cut down your union flags

  • @fatherfluffybottom Why is the comment "rich"? Because spending your time filming farmyard machinery would suggest you've went wrong somewhere in life.I wouldn't be so quick to use insults connected to disabilities either.Thankfully I don't suffer from such a cruel fate however consistent inbreeding will no doubt see to it that your kids are affected.

So to conclude; Fuck off you inbred, sister shagging, tractor filming, banjo playing farmyard simpleton, I hope your cows get foot and mouth

  • stick your 'aulfd flute' up your hole ya muppet.

  • If Britain had fairly partitioned Ulster, at least half of that map would be in the Republic.

  • keep the rotten brit bastards on ther toes

  • It remains one of the few places on the earth that Britain never conquered or defeated, living on the border i still have a certain level of disgust towards British forces despite the recent progress!

  • The more distant it becomes, the more sordid it all appears.

  • english bastards.

  • They have gone back now to where they belong

    the future is brighter .......

  • Only British Imperialism created this.

  • Rubbish. In the South of Ireland before 1922, the RIC were Irishmen in British uniform, the British Army were Irishmen in British uniform, the Civil Servants were Irishmen. When the Free State was set up these Irishmen just changed the design of their uniforms and badges. Irish people supported Home Rule and the 1922 Treaty was just that - Home Rule in a Free State. Irishmen were just as imperial as the British in Africa and India and elsewhere.

  • Thats nonsence. While there were no doubt Irishmen who played very active parts in empire, to suggest that Irishmen were as imperial as British natives is at best revisionism. Any nation that had an anti imperialist revolution and continues to this day to have armed groups with popular support espousing the same ideals is certainly not an imperial one

  • dark set for dark days

  • i hope the continuity ira can finally defeat the brits and send them home

  • whatever!

  • Pretty dark set
