@ohboyhey2k4 Irate gamer also said that Steve Jobs engineered "Breakout" even though it's /very well known/ that he paid Steve Wozniak to do it! What a fool! :-(
Hey, a youtuber by the name of irate gamer stole this footage from you and now is making money of it. You should take his new video down for copyright violation
The trick to kicking ass on the arcade version of this video game is to select the pro course, the one where the turns are brief. The beginner and the middle courses have long curves and are much harder to manage. I used to play this at one of the arcades at the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk, and I would routinely get it to the point where the white pylons would be moving across the screen at supersonic speed.
first video game I have ever played. at an Arcade, must have been Summer of 1983, I was 5. now I´m a collector and.. one shouldn´t talk of oneself as a hc gamer, should one?
Awesome comment. I thought there were two gears -- high and low, but that's 30 years ago. However primitive this looked, it created the feeling of movement. Oh, and the paddle controller was way ahead of its time.
We have to get these to the driving school

You're probably remembering "Datsun 280 Zzzap", Midway's copy of the game concept. That one had only 2 gears.
