I love the sound of open tunings but haven't ventured there. I'd like to take a few baby steps in that direction.

Yes indeed this was the first song in open G.

I tried so hard to do Paul Brady's Aurtur McBride but I'm still a long way off; the flat picking technique still handcuffs me.

I suppose you could call it an understatement, but shear determination and a hell of a lot of sings happened before I thought I had it well enough to upload.

I am a big fan of Paul Brady and he and his songs had occurred to me as I've watched your videos (thinking it would be interesting to see you cover his songs). I saw Paul Brady live once, and he seamlessly was always retuning between songs, and always into perfect tune. I'd look forward to your Paul Brady renditions.

Notice that I did not once look into the camera (not completely intentional since the fingerings and open strums takes a fair amount of concentration) I sing most just like this and you can as well - sub'd you BTW ...
