@AboutDogTraining3 simply because the nature requires psychological approach. Fear can be nurtured, that's why phobias such as alto or arachnophobia came to be. The point is, Cesar Millan has had so much experience with dogs that he has familiarized himself to dog behaviours on a level you will never attain unless you open your mind to the truth, DOGS ARE NOT 2 YEAR OLD HUMANS and as much as we want to believe, THEY WILL NEVER BE HUMAN. We have to accept that no matter how we love our pets.
@bestdogtrainer2, wrong again. Fear has been extensively studied and Millan's tale of nurturing fear is 100% BULLSHIT. It's actually the opposite, by punishing fearful dogs, Millan is cementing their fear. Millan has learned that w/ enough force you can cause any dog to shut down & stop moving - it's what he calls calm and submissive.
BTW fucktard, look up "Dogs' Intelligence On Par With Two-year-old Human"
@AboutDogTraining3 You really lack comprehension skills Zack or whatever name you're using. Cesar Millan does not punish fearful dogs, he rehabilitates them. For instance, the case of Gavin, an ATF dog who seem to be suffering from a post traumatic syndrome. This is the episode where Cesar Millan earned my appreciation to his passion for dogs. He did not stick to "one size fit all" approach,he studied the dog and applied a customized technique to suit the dogs condition.Very Scientific approach.
@bestdogtrainer2, listen asshole Millan punishes fearful dogs. Starting in season 1 all the way to this years. In all episodes he is jabbing, hanging, kickging fearful dogs b/c he thinks that fear is some ploy to dominate him.
@AboutDogTraining3 And by the way, to know who's right in this continuum, it's easy, you will notice that you're the only one making baseless and in-congruent comments. Cesar has fans, let's face it and we're here to explain his side although I think Cesar will never waste his time on your crappy ideas and that's why we are making an extra effort to let you know that just because you may seem anonymous, it doesn't mean you can make baseless and futile allegations against him. You know that....
@bestdogtrainer2, what is really interesting is how so many people have bought onto this turd. Just show that people are generally ignorant about dogs. Millan has been criticized by nearly every organization out there for his use of force based on a dominance/pack principle. We've known for 3 decades that pack theory is wrong but nice packaging and slick tv production and some people will buy anything.
@bestdogtrainer2, once again you idiot. There are more similarities between all mammalian brains than there are differences. It's why psychologists to this day still to animal studies to work on fear, memory, cognition, learning, aggression, autism, and other "human" conditions. Idiot assholes who now nothing about science is just the type of person that Millan targets...
@AboutDogTraining3 Sorry Cesar, I know these slots are suppose to talk about your video and all, I just can't let this guy say whatever he wants just because he thinks he is anonymous. Once again, ZAK, you too have a talent but you're simply not there yet. Strive hard, earn a good reputation and maybe someday, you'll land Ur own spot on TV. But right now, in our hearts, CM's method is still the most effective. Thank you Cesar Uve taught a lot of owners like me bout our dogs.
@AboutDogTraining3 Sorry but you know you are missing the point. A K9's brain is never the same as a human brain, genetically and physiologically. Human brain has to many parts that a dog can never have. That's the very reason why an infant is so fragile because the body can't cope up with the brain's growth. It's like comparing banana and pineapple. Get it? Peabrain. On the second thought, maybe you share the same IQ level with your dog. That I can easily agree.
Cesar is gifted and sharing his gift with the world. A lot of unemployed and jealous certified dog behaviourists out there. Cesar has a common sense approach backed up by just the right amount of love. When a certified dog behaviourist fails to rehab a dog they will blame the dog and give up, it's that simple. Like the San Francisco spca labelling a dog with incurable aggression then then saying they are a no kill facility
because euthanizing an incurable dog is not killing,( Cesar Critic )lol
@AboutDogTraining3 i've seen you on nearly every video of cesar trying to convince people that he's shit, but at the end of the day his techniques work, and he's helped a lot more dogs than you have, so fuck off
he is the worse dog trainer I have ever seen YOU WANT TO SEE HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DOG WITH POSITIVE ENCOURAGEMENT WATCH "IT'S ME OR THE DOG" WITH VICTORIA STILLWELL SHE KNOWS HOW TO TRAIN DOGS
@eminemgirl03 It's a scared rottwailer trying to ban Millan. He makes more than Mslabmom does, he is more charming, in essence he is afraid of competition.
The ignorance that this program perpetuates will give equally ignorant people the green light to subject their dogs to abuse. In turn these dogs will react even more defensively, will bite more people - and end up dead. I have serious concerns because his methods are often intimidating rather than motivating. On TV, the dogs do comply but often they're being forced to - you can tell by their body language: tail down, mouth closed, ears back, eyes dilated...
@MsGnorts Don't waste your energy he probably lost a dog due to bad or rather no raising skills at all! Maybe abused or molested as a kid, but definitely a failure in all aspects under light light from every perspective, so it hurts to see him successful & has at-least a half a brain which is quite a significant upgrade from what he has to deal with in his noggin!!!!!!! And no I'm not implying Cesar has a half a brain he probably has one and half more brains then most people do including myself!
@MsLabMom so are you saying we should use 100% positive reinforcement? If so I disagree. I've found positive reinforcement works to a degree, but to balance everything they also need corrections at times. Certain dogs won't work for treats or praise, trust me I've worked with them. One dog I worked with would become posessive of treats and attack you. There are many dogs where his "psychology" methods....are more necessary than actual dog training. It just depends on the individual dog.
@MsDaisy201 do you train dogs personally? I use positive reinforcement as much as possible, but there are times, and there certain dogs who do require occasional corrections.
quando nosos animais envelhecem,aí é que realmente vamos mostrar que os amamos,,vejo todos os programas de cesar,e creio que elel tem um dom, muito bonito, gosto mutio,
is great this season i hope watch soon on animal planet here in Chile, how to raise a perfect puppy now i hv one mix dog puppy looks like terrier i so funny, and i expect has many high energy cuz drive crazy to my gsd but they actually play as a pack so is not a big problem, i hope soon cesar someday gave a seminary here
thank god for someone like Cesar. people are so clueless about dogs. everyone wants one but we bring out the worst in them. we create the problems in dogs and then blame the dogs, without realising that we cause or aggravated that kind of behaviour. humans need to be trained, dogs need to be redirected.
Funny how "nurture" requires so much kicking.
Yes, pups are fearful, nervous. It's also a lie that we can nurture fear. There are several studies that demonstrate this idea is false.

Millan is a moron. the work of several researches indicates that some animals are born with a higher than normal reactivity levels.
You can't nurture fear, it total bullshit. Nor can the dog make the connection that he can control a human with anxiety.

blah, blah, blah. In America, the land of lawsuits we are still excepting the big front story in the NY times:
"Rottweiler demolished, killed, lacerated, and ate alive his owner, whose trainer was Cesar Millan, the wetback...."
ps. Go f&%& yourself, abortion would've been in your case a good solution for the planet.
