  • Now the guys below is some what blind. He thinks hiding it was better for him. But it's okay to be gay!!! Just because random people say their gay doesn't mean they'll get shot right there! If god made them it means they are not mistake! I hate all these "people" who think being gay or lesbian is wrong because it isn't! It's life! And some people are just so stupid that they don't realize it!

  • I hope all the people, (family, friends, school officials) everyone who encouraged him in his gay lifestyle to take note that this child is dead because of you people. Had he remained silent about his sexual desires he would still be alive and with us today. I truly hope your happy. Thank you liberals for contributing to getting a child killed. Your just as guilty as that punk who pulled the trigger.

  • as a survivor of a gay/hate crime i feel so sad for this young man he had such a long life to live and it was taken away over being gay!!!!!! i had 6 surgeries and i feel so depressed and to this day have not got over it because they did not go to jail BUT THIS BOY DIED!!! MY GOD!!!!!! MAY WE ONE DAY HAVE FREEDOM IN AMERICA!!!!!! we are not Saudi Arabia!!!!!!

  • KrayZoB86, People like you are the reason we should psychologically evaluate people before they procreate. I hope to god you never spawn children!

  • Thricearoundthecircl That was well spoken I agree with you 100 percent

  • I keep thinking about if i was Larrys dad what would i have done to protect my boy from this sick world we live in,people using the name of God to spread hate...and i have no answear..maybe i would have take him out of school, maybe i would have hired a bodyguard to be with him all the time..maybe..but is this the world we want,to have to homeschool your kid because of who he loves?because he might get killed in the process of finding love and himself?what if he was your kid???

  • Im gay myself, and I cringed when I heard this news about Lawrence, BUT, he wasnt shot ONLY because he was gay. I read all the articles online. Lawrence sexualy harrased and threw his gayness on guys who clearly told him they didnt like it and wanted him to stop and one boy took the wrong path and shot him. I hold the shooter completely accountable but Lawrence wasnt as innocent as we might think.

  • your right hes not as inocent as we think

  • That's why I think this story is so tragic, it's not easy to to call the shooter evil, he must have felt extremely uncomfortable- but moreover a young boy is dead for something he couldn't controll, it's terrible. There's nothing good here, it's a soup of shit. And putting the killer in jail won't fix it

  • I agree wit Maliksupreme. HURRAY!!!!!!

  • this is oxnard wear gangs hates gays

  • I understand where Jennifer is comming from with this 14 year old not being tried as an adult BUT he is old enough to know right from wrong...he did an adult crime and should be tried as an adult. Advocating and educating are great tools for learning but what if they refuse to listen? He deserves whatever they give him. I believe in peace, but I also believe in justice. You do the crime, you do the time. I also think laws should be more strict on corporal punishment. People kill too much.

  • Larry asked him to be his Valentine....why couldn't he have just answered, "Sorry I'm not interested because I'm not gay....or something...I mean....geez!!! I do not feel sorry for Brandon because he knows that killing is wrong and the consequences that come with it. That goes for anyone who murders. They know it's wrong. THEY JUST DON"T CARE. We have to rid the world of people like this because we can't change them...they have to want to change themselves. Fight fire with fire sometimes.

  • Y'al gay ppl?? First of all I am not gay though sometimes i wish i was because most straight men are assholes. I support them because they deserve the same rights as everyone else. They are human beings and they have feelings just like you. If he was sexually harrassing him, why didn't he tell his teacher?? Why didn't he tell his parents?? These are children!!! What happened to the meet me in the playground after school fights?? A child took another child's life over a childish thing.

  • i heard that lawrence harass the kid who killed him

  • nice story thanks for doing this video xx keep well xx

  • @drumigniter he was human, so you are pro murder?

  • It sounds like Lawrence had a mother and father who loved him so why was he living in a group home?

  • RIP little Larry.

  • its horrible how there have been so many murders to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender etc. people and larry's is one of the only ones that were somewhat publicized. I just found out about larry's murder today more than a month later.

  • mrmto110 how would you like it if i said to you that you being str8 is a disease or a defect? just because there are more str8 people in the worl doesnt mean that you hold the moral highground. your not superior too us, and in retrospect i think youll find that str8 people are more likely to be participant's in real injustices like murder, or rape etc. dont think because a book was written 2000 years ago by biggets that makes you right or makes you morally higher than anyone else.

  • It is not a birth defect or sickness...people can't help who they are or who they like. How would you feel if someone told you that you cant love a person just because they think it's wrong, you wouldnt be very happy. Larry King did absolutly nothing wrong, all he did was be honest and be himself. So don't hate. Gays, Bis, Lesbians whatever they are they are still human.

  • That really depends on what ur definition of a "complete man" is doesn't it? If you're definition of a complete man is a strong, hairy, muscley (or fat), brawly, over all rough guy, then some gay men are are flambouyant and may not fit that description. But you are saying that all gay men don't fit that description, which is stereotyping. Many gay men do fit the "complete man description" and any other description of a man there is. O, and do some research, you'll find its not a birth defect.

  • It is not OK to be born as stupid as mrmto110.

  • I don't understand where you get that it's not ok to be gay. Where'd you learn that from, and what are your facts to back this claim up?

  • @mrmto110 who exactly is to say who is and who isnt a complete man

  • 14 is a bit radical to be thinking "Yeah ooh" over pictures of cock at such a young age... Good day, that will be all.

  • What?!

  • 14 is a radical to be thinking "Yeah ooh" over pictures of mens cocks at such a young age, what don't you get about that?

  • Um most humans think about that stuff younger than that. What's "radical" about human nature?

  • and 14 isnt young for boys to look at girls vaginas and a guy and a girl having sex?

  • Oh and who's looking at pictures of men's cocks? Omg. Where'd you get that from?

  • I believe all Ed was trying to say is that the guy was very young and doesn't agree that the person should be "flirting" with dudes so excessively.

  • Thanks for clearing that up for me sunny. Both of you fail to remember that these dudes that he was flirting with were calling him faggot, and other derogatory names. Now from what I hear the way he was "flirting" wasn't as bad as saying "YEA OHHH" to pictures of men's cocks. Also these boys were not men. EDBARBER's point of view is what is radical here.

  • "YEA OHHH" LMAO!

I know very little about the case to be honest but for a gay man/child to be hitting on a straight person, it doesn't warrant them to be killed but it isn't right in any respect.

  • You're right, it doesn't warrent them to be killed. It also isn't right for straight people if they are so insecure about other's sexuality to go around poking fun or messing with people that are gay.

  • mrmto...badmash petz here... why don't you step up from your words on the screen and say that in a video.

  • Why don't you put yourself in a gay or bi or lesbian or transexual person's shoes and see how fucking hard it is for us to walk down the street or how hard it is to hide what you are from your family....I was born and raised here in the south and here you will and can get your ass kicked or disowned by your family...I am bi and I cant even tell my family!!!! SO SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • I totally agree why not make a video and say it on youtube then we can hate on you. then you will feel the pain like we do.

  • @mrmto110 so then i guess heterosexuality is the same way

  • The word "homophobia" bothers me because it only partly defines the problem. "Heterosexism" is more accurate. When we talk about oppression of African Americans, we don't say "blackphobia". When we talk about oppression of women we don't say "womanphobia". Put the onus where it belongs: on a system of thinking that says heterosexuality is superior. That is the real problem.

  • Badmash Petz here... I never used "hetrosexism" to describe the problem. Thank you for your insight.

  • I am so sad to see how the situation in the USA is. I must be blessed being here in the UK. Concequently the GAY negative comments that I get on youtube are from the USA.

In Iceland, a small little country in the North Atlantic with 300,000 people WE DO NOT HAVE ANY GAY HATE AT ALL! Icelandic people found out quite quickly that to be able to live together is peace, harmony and happiness EVERYONE has to respect each other for their opinions, lifestyles etc....and do you know what.....it works!

  • O really?Island you say?Never been there, but planning to and somehow or other I have this image of Island being exact that way;cool (and cold) hehehe

  • the hate needs to stop plain and simple

  • LGBT @ CSUSM did for Lawerence King is create a memorial at noon from February 25th-29th and would have loved to capture it on video but sadly we were harassed, as well as most of the students there, by radical preachers that were using our demonstration of tolerance and awarness as well as memorial in their fuel of hate, another sad part was that we couldn't do much do to the free speech area, but we continued to continue even with the disturbance, we got more respect and tolerance from this.

  • Stone Darth here. Kudos to your demonstration. The fact that you continued was a powerful statement in my book and it appears it was to others as well. Was there something stopping you from filming the "radical preachers"?

  • I read this comment down below about how a boy was kidnapped and raped by a gay couple and how straight people are not the evil here but the gay community are actual the bad ones and that we viewed that particular couple as pedophiles and that because of that it was insinuated that we are in fact this different terrible species. I would just like to comment on how there are bad people in the world. Both straight/gay/bi whatever. The reason people hurt and kill is sick.

  • Badmash Petz here ... for the people who are anti gay and homophobic... why don't you all "come out of the closet" and be bold enough to show your statement on camera...

  • To WallHallica:The real sadness in what you are doing is that I'm sure that Lawrence King's parents, grandparents, his brother, his uncles, aunts, cousins, young friends and so on are checking out the internet sites that have been established nationwide to memorialize the loss of their loved one and friend. And what are they seeing? The taunting by homophobes, mocking the death of a child and the ridiculing of the gay community that has embraced him. The shame is on you, not us.

  • people who have nothing better to do than youtube videos which "enrage" them and post absurd comments must be repressing something in them. come out of the closet already

  • @WallHallica thats because the case was based on pedophilia, not homosexuality

people seem to confuse the two

  • If you are adult enough to kill then you are adult enough to face adult sentencing. Judging this most horrific and unnecesary of hate crimes in an adult framework is the only way to send out any message that this is intolerable in the 21st Century. To diminish it by labelling it in terms of 'juvenile' crime is only to diminish the snuffing out of this boy's flame - a flame that will burn bright in his memory forever more.

  • I have to agree with the comment about a 14 year old being charged as an adult. I truly think it will only create more hate. Education and acceptance PARENTS!

  • Thanks for the great video! Its nice to see people speaking out against hate crime.

    LaReina DelBarrio

  • I thought people were learning, acceptance was soon to be the new norm? As so many have come out to friends, family, and employers/coworkers, it looked like people were becoming knowledgeable and understanding. I

The hatred I see here on YouTube seems at times to be exploding. It breaks my heart, but it also makes me so angry at parents, schools, and ignorant young people who actually think that telling someone they are gay is a witty criticism or put-down. Say what???

  • Computer posted in middle of thought....I'm sorry.

I was adding to the first paragraph that I must have been wrong.

As older people learn understanding, young people (except that teacher's students) are still learning hatred, resentment, and NOTHING! Is is churches? I know some of them are still blaming gays for God's punishment--9/11 for ex. Is it cultural? It must be coming from somewhere! Kids are not born with hatred in their hearts! Where are they learning to hate? I want to know...

  • God bless you all for this attention to this tragic death, if we all stand up maybe no one else will have to suffer or be killed for being gay, i was gay bashed last year May 5th walking out of a gay owned club, by 4 men i am to this date still having surgerys because of injuries from the event, no justice came the guys are known yet police did nothing to jail them or prosecute them. i cant get a lawyer in my area.. its time gays start fighting and do not take no for an answer we need equality!

  • Larry King was a good kid just being who he was

  • thanks for initiating conversation. its so hard to get these discussions started, but so critical.
