This was very helpful. I'm very freaked out by 1,000s of dead red-winged blackbirds and 100,000s of dead fish, both in Arkansas. I was looking for an "X Files" clip of raining fish, but this is better. That both events happened just before midnight on New Years Eve is frightening...but, there was odd weather in that area...rare tornadoes.

lol seems rather unlikely to me, and furthermore splatted fish/frogs are rarely reported, one would think after making such a trip from the sky they'd be hitting the ground pretty hard.

i think a better explanation would be fish/frogs that can go dormant until rain comes or fish/frogs that travel across the land and tend to do during rainfall.

what i am saying, is that it is far more likely that these critters are lying dormant and given a fresh rainfall, become active. ppl come outside, see the large number of frogs, etc and mistakenly make the correlation.

for example, where's the photos of clogged rain gutters? not to mention, why aren't these animals splattered, if we are to assume they came from the sky?
