  • TL; DR version?

  • can someone break down an alternative of monogamy? i'm confused.

  • i've met some very violent people who smoke weed. there's more to it than pleasure vs pain.

  • My question would be to the neuropsychologist would be what about sociopath killers or child molesters that indulge in these 'mixed' pleasures and create these neurotic senses in the brain which logically we know the lines are blurred with these insidiously evil crimes???

  • Common black people have a lot of problems with controlling their sex urges, with violence and amorality. The corporate, government and economic decision makers have been utterly taken over by evil, criminally selfish people, and yes, they are mostly white. The owners of the meda, banking and top governmental positions are held by Jews. Do some research before mindless dismissing this. GOGGLE " WHO OWNS THE MEDIA " Karrezza is te answer, not orgasm.

  • Good video and timing, I am currently reading through Steven Pinker latest book on this very issue.

  • Mind blown

  • holy shit dude are you saying society would be better off with groups of adults who all live together and fuck each other, while also raising eachothers kids? not trying to rush to judgement but woaahh

  • @xsickzackx He never implied that those living together would engage in a sexual relationship with one another. Such a family unit is actually not that uncommon today. Lots of families today have a brother or sister of one of the spouses living with them at home. Lots of people live at home with their spouse and their`s or their spouse`s elderly parent. Many kids today have a mother, father, step-mother/father and have healthy relationships with all.

  • the video portion is RACIST.

  • @jrspolitical Prescott's critique of Christian theology is the weakest part of his article-- not competent at all. However, it is easy to understand why he would have the impression he has, since so many professing Christians accept the same misconceptions.

  • The Relationship of Desire, Will and Love. v=9juv7Y6MU74

  • OK, why when we are discussing the problem of violence there is random video of black people but when we get to the end reaching enlightenment there are finally shots of white kids? I think Freud would have the answer to that.

  • @mriconoclast13 right???!!!!!

  • @mriconoclast13 To me personally, who has studied history and current war trends, this makes perfect sense. The U.S. and NATO are every day destroying societies and cultures in the name of fighting "Terrorism" around the globe and on our own soil. The majority of these countries, especially the atrocities we are committing every day in Africa, happen to have darker skin than that of the mainstream American or European. Stop being a racist and look objectively!

  • Great thoughts

Loved the content and worthy of further dissemination

Found the visual background interesting Did not understand its choices but was left with the feeling that we must go forward to new understandings not back to basic societal norms?

  • African countries suffer from high levels of violence with low levels of physical pleasure. Rape is very common in many areas in African, as is female circumcision, taking away the "pleasure" part of the woman.

  • I'd be interested to see if there is a corrolation between this and sado masochistic behavior.

  • This video may very well be important, but its production is so poor that I just can't sit here and watch it. Damn my media saturated life. I had to just use the scrubber and read the captioning. This reminds me of the causes behind the creation of rapists and serial-murderers. A combo of neglect and abuse will illicit these mental illnesses.

  • I'm going to use this video as a chat up line.

  • A friend of mine recently told me that her 12 year old daughter had been searching for porn on the internet. She was shocked at how explicit some of the stuff she was searching for. People have become hypersexualised and it certainly isn't healthy at all. We need to focus on deep meaningful interpersonal bonds rather than purely on lust. I blame the music culture on some of this hypersexualisation - Madonna, Lady Gaga, etc. The pornification of culture. Disgusting.

  • @PersianPaladin Remember that their is a purpose of hysexing a culture. It serves as an appeasing distraction from the real issues in our society, yet it breaks bonds between men and women. A focus in pure lust also devalues the beauty in intimacy.

  • @PersianPaladin Ugh. "PersianPaladin" indeed. The main problem is that we live in an either/or paradigm. I consider myself fortunate for realizing at a very young age that you can have your cake and eat it too (e.g. just use a damn rubber when you have to and use safe sex practices and you can lead a fairly promiscuous lifestyle without dire consequence).

I am lucky to live in a unique age of freer sexuality and welcome "pornification" because it means women aren't so damn hard to lay anymore.

  • Western cultures are sexually repressed? LOL. Are you fucking kidding me? The teenage pregnancy rate in the UK is one of the highest in the world and premarital sex is the norm in Western cultures. Also, South Africa is one of the most sexually active cultures on the planet - and it's also one of the most violent and misogynist.

  • @PersianPaladin You're completely missing the point. the very reason teen pregnancy is so high in western countries is BECAUSE sexuality is repressed... sexual education in the United States is dismal at best, most teenagers know VERY little about safe sex practice, and this is because sex is taboo in christian culture, and they will teach teenagers that sex is evil, but their natural instincts say otherwise, and so they have lot of uneducated sex.

  • @Rayzersword

Bullshit. The media has been very sexualised for years and young people have been exposed to this among their peers to a much greater extent than anything that schools or their parents tell them. Most people in the UK are not religious anyway.

    Look at the recent news:-

"Scientists announced yesterday they have found a superbug strain of gonorrhea that is immune to recommended antibiotics and could become a global health threat." (Daily Mirror)

    I'm glad I'm a virgin :-)

  • @PersianPaladin TRUE sexuality is not portrayed in the media is not portrayed in the media at all, i.e. the use of sex as an expression of love between two people. All the media contains is sluts and whores. thats not sexuality, that is promiscuity, which ill agree is a problem. thats why parents need to be open with their kids about sex and not let the media teach them about sexuality.but religious culture taboos sex so parents dont feel comfortable discussing it with teenagers.

  • @Rayzersword That's why there are uncles & aunts to talk to.

  • @PersianPaladin p.s. i feel very sorry for you that you are a virgin, the feeling of making love to someone you deeply care about is the best feeling in the world and i hope you can overcome your fear of sex and experience that type of connection with a person someday.

  • @PersianPaladin Yes our culture is sexually repressed yet hyper sexed simultaneously. For example, many individuals are quite uncomfortable simply saying the word sex in front of their peers, or uncomfortable discussing sexual manners in an intelligent way. On the opposing side, we are hyper sexed due to over saturation of explicit sexual images and lyrics. Yet we don't talk about sexual relations as a spiritual act (in most circles).

  • what is this new-age psychoanalysis bullshit

  • I remeber a report I did my sophmore year of highschool about how the more sexually repressed a people where the more violence there was.

  • @californiarednek Good work!

  • "Physical pleasure actively inhibits physical violence." Why do we have rapists? Are they hybrids?

  • 46 minutes to tell me that if your parents hold and love you alot you will be a better person.NO SHIT!Thanks for phoning this one in Stef.

  • Fascinating video! I have to agree with much of it.

  • Such radical ideas, I love them!

  • This information is pretty amazing. Thanks for sharing it Stefan! I hope the world takes note of this!

  • ~I JUST HAD SE-EX AND IT FELT SOO GOOD!~(SINGING)

  • Sick twisted filthy devils. Always trying to paint Africans as a "negative" in the brains of the global society. Those are Kings and Queens and you can never take that from them...

  • @chica80 I think he's trying to make a scientific point about the correlation between pleasure and violence amongst human beings. africa is actually improving as far as I've seen. most of the people who paint africa in a bad light are leftists who exploit people who are or seem to be in positions of suffering. therein lies your problem.

  • @Ravengaurd6 - Key Word "Trying", but he most definitely did not succeed... in my "opinion". Sorry* Thanks anyway for feeling the need to express your "opinion" to me...

  • @chica80 what is the point of opinions where facts are not defined. opinions fail to be when facts have not spurred them into existence. What are the facts? if you can tell me which is the fact. only then can you designate which part of my statement was opinion.

  • This is one of your best, Stef. Please read 'Saharasia' by James DeMeo for a deep investigation of authoritarianism and violence linked with sex-negativity in cultures (specifically in the desert regions of Africa and Asia)... it's truly exhaustive, well-written and thoughtful.

  • alienating language patterns have been around for thousands of years, originally created to serve kings in domination societies. violence is not on the rise, it is only easier to spread news.

  • this was awesome, i like hearing books read, especially when theyre so informative as this one

  • 36:11 Spock thought it was a good idea for babies to cry themselves to sleep? Oh that Spock, always emotionless :))

  • Awesome info, Liked and Favorited, but why is the video literally FILLED with black people?

    I don't see the connection.

  • @firuinthehouse It's a video of Africa were there is tons of violence because of secular beliefs and child abuse.

  • The beatles were right, all you need is Love!

  • Brilliant

  • VIOLENCE BITCHEZZ =]]]]

  • @stef-IIRC, Freud's work on this subject (and most other subjects) has been discredited since his time. The other psychologists you cited are still considered "good", as far as I know. Thanks for posting, sir.

  • I did not watch the whole thing, listening in the background but the Africans I have seen are being shown because they demonstrate the non-violent touching environments being discussed..

  • @krynnotaur Oh please. There's more cannibalism and machete-mutilations in Africa than our worse psychopaths could even hope for :))

  • @firuinthehouse logical fallacies. look em up.

  • That was awesome, thank you very much for sharing. I live my life that way too, so my parents must have done a good job. I do all the pleasure and relationship stuff stated so I have been on track with what the science says.

  • Yet another wonderful thought (for share, ofcourse): I'll not bow to a woman.

  • Hmm2... actually, I don't WANT pleasure. And also I don't want treatment :-/\

  • Hm, ... seems like too much truth for me. I'll pretend that stef has never done this video :)

  • good video but why did u make all bad people africans. I don't know but it seem it bit racist.

  • Still makes me wonder how BDSM fits into all of this...

  • @sharperguy Well, if you have such tendencies, then it has to be obvious to you.

  • The problems of the world will not be solved by the minds that created them. The paradigm needs new way of thinking and I believe we are listening to one whom can help, thank you for your research and understanding of these built in realities.

  • This is absolutely wonderful information. Thank you so much for putting this together.

  • I can attest to this. I have to actively repress the violence that is my inheritance from our civilization. I have difficulty finding sex of any sort pleasurable, while the altered mental states of alcohol and other drugs can be extremely alluring. This is to be expected by being part of any collapsing society so insane as our own.

  • why is this guy showing mostly people of black race while he is talking as of laboratory animals and then only to make a contrast with very white ones at the end? is there something being played here or mere coincidence?

  • @lvildos haha good one....u r kidding right?

  • @fps0chris not kidding, I'm making a question to reflective people

  • @lvildos haha its because Africa happens to be one of the shittiest countries in the world in terms of human devolpment.....comon man....

  • @fps0chris would you not consider violence the recent nuclear spill from Fukushima? or is it going to be dismissed simply as an accident? I'd say violence is not only what you see but also the threats/risks you are exposed to

  • @fps0chris Africa's a Continent. it is made up of 54 countries, all of which were created in the colonial era. Truth be told Africa is Actually getting a lot better. you'd know that if you actaully talked to some Africans.

  • @Ravengaurd6 haha my old personal trainer was from Zambia.....I talked with him alot about Africa and yes it is.....but alot of it is still in the shitter.....mostly the places shown in this vid....

  • this info has been around not since 1975, but since forever...see willhelm reich

  • @theMAXILOPEZpsycho welcom to fdr

  • I wonder, did crime increase because of FBI or because of better investigations in crimes?

  • Sounds like a need for a guns-for-violent-video-games-and-vibrators program.

  • do mankind a favor - fuck someone uglier than you once in a while :-) - Doug Stanhope --

  • @LunkwillFook

    LOL pretty much

  • Thanks Stef.

  • Great video; nothing but respect and admiration for you on this subject.

  • oops double post 4 hours apart, sorry everybody.

  • I don't understand the images in the background!

  • @TheCrackerbob I see a flaw in your argument. I am perfect.

  • @TheCrackerbob I wouldnt call him an idiot but i will expand...

"It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence."

    Mohandas Gandhi

  • @TheCrackerbob Sounds like daddy didn't hug you as a child.

  • wow. lennon was right. all you need is... sex! interesting!

  • these info are NOT 40 years old...most of what is discused here WAS revealed by the infamous Dr. Wilhelm Reich 80 years ago...

    Nice documentary...

  • I don't understand the video portion of this presentation.

  • @rwrp keep watching you'll get the picture

  • @rwrp The seemingly random video background is puzzling and distracting to the message until near the end. I'd have much preferred seeing the charts and tables mentioned in the audio. But the message end didn't make sense, because the most massively violent nations have been the big western empires, not necessarily those with the most religious/sexual repression. It seems empire aggression and oppression are the factors stimulating anger in those engaging in recent retaliatory terrorism.

  • @rwrp looks like some not so subtle programming white minds to the belief that "Blacks" are the demonstrators of said "violence" KNOWING FULL WELL..that whites have worked tirelessly to assure we experienced an "absence of physical pleasure" in our relationship with whites...

I agree with the premises laid out in the commentary yet those images are clearly RACIST PROPAGANDA to me. I must ADMIT...i've only seen four minutes into the clip and KNOW that there could be a different story emerging

  • @AfreekaLIVE cont'd about the use of the chosen images or the images could change...significantly to portray the true and original lovers of violence, abuse and the creation of adverse experiences on the planet...

    M.E.

  • Keep in mind all these Americans answering are circumcised, and missing up to 85% of their pleasure receptive nerve endings on their penis. Thats one reason they may find drugs and alcohol better than sex. Yes yes some circ`d guys are fine, others can`t feel anything though.

  • Hey this is really great stuff

  • This video is right about the need for affection but it attacks the Bible which supports the very same interests. What is all this nonsense about the Bible suppressing pleasure!? Was man and woman not made for each other? 1 Corinthians 7:5 Do not deprive one another... (of sex)

  • Ugh... This video is so anti-Christian...

Lot offerse his daughters in haste to protect the angels, which the men don't want, the angels then blind the men and escort Lots family out of sodom then destroys it. What is the videos conclusion? The Bible is condoning raping of woman... Which is completely stupid! Obviously Lot offering them was wrong... Was there anything that said otherwise? It was just an account of his reckless attempt to protect the angels.

  • @thinktothemax

Google "rape in the bible" and get back to us.

  • @FlailingJunk I have and each case ended up with the two married, or the man killed. Each case should be looked thoroughly at before judging it, looking at the time in history, circumstances, relationship etc.

  • @thinktothemax

    Forced marriage is rape.

  • @FlailingJunk

    Don't feed the troll, please.

  • 6 people have never experienced orgasm.

  • This question is for Stefan. Do you think our power elites are raised in broken, neglectful or abusive homes and thats why they have a fetish for using force to get what they want? Because the rest of us are lead to believe that money provides a loving and nurturing enviroment. Just wondering your take on that one.

  • Here the Bible says: 1 Corinthians 7:8To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single as I am. 9But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

That doesn't sound like somatosensory pleasure teaching to me...

  • @MerulaMondlicht Sorry but I disagree when it comes to our power elites. In their psychotic eyes morality or immorality is relative to the person perceiving it. Our statist leaders are not going to be politely persuaded that their assertions of force are immoral. Lets look at Israel. Here is a country that thinks they were literally chosen by God to do whatever it is they damn well please. Convincing these people otherwise is futile and a moot point. i gotta ask...so you worked with bankers?

  • Way to take Bible quotes out of context. He must have had many negative experiences with "christianity" to not care to look further...

  • I had a girlfriend that would cut her arm... she had scars all up her forearm. I was confounded by why a person would intentionally do such a thing to themselves. When I asked her why her only reply was it felt 'good'.

When I saw fresh wounds... I ended it.

  • I'm sure this wasn't the intent, but the visuals come off racist to me. I mean why were all the black kids shown in their more destitute conditions for most of the video, then he ends it with whites in their most positive. I understand the message but the video concerns me.

It's like talking about the fundamentals of basketball while showing random whites missing jump shots in slow motion then ending the video with highlights of Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan at regular speed.

  • @cowcoholic so true, but a lot of truths in this so i shared on facebook even though he has some views i dont in a few ways

  • This study is a better debunking of religion then anything I've come across. God can't be good if he is unhealthy for you.

  • dislike... i don´t understand the basics of this "life"

  • These pictures of children soldiers are very disturbing !

  • wuts with the creepy slow motion african background?

  • @badjer1785 Children soldiers. They know no pleasure...

  • @MerulaMondlicht Like stef has pointed out in the past, self reporting is not the same as scientific research and evidence.

Hurting children changes their brains in a negative way. If you and your husband have been able to deal with your past through self knowledge then that is great, but raising children with violence can only hurt them.

  • hmm. I think I should be suspicious of a white person who is reading from a report that cites experiments on laboratory monkeys with video footage of destitute Africans in the background.

  • @blackberryjuice1 What race would be acceptable?

  • @PluralOfEverything That seems to be a silly question.

  • Comment removed

  • I was hoping this video was to announce that mr. peaceful, stefbot, had decided to become a BDSM sex guy.lol

  • @greenghost2008 bdsm can be full of love

  • So I guess all we need is love. Who knew the Beatles were such scientific prodigies?

  • There is one thing to do to bring this message out to the world:

Have another summer of love XD

more seriously, free love is the way forward.

  • I am gladdened to hear you referencing this article. One of the few things I have always taken exception to with you has been your propensity to refer to 'promiscuity' as being a problem, a symptom of dysfunction. This article clearly shows that while promiscuity could be related to problems, simple enjoyment of sex and having several partners, is 'not' in itself a problem.

  • The Bible is more a document describing what humanity had already descended into psychologically, rather than being an encouragement into that state. It is the effect of a prior 3,000 years of horror, accumulated into one text. We're still stuck there, as a species. Which is very sad.

  • The video doesn't seem to have anything whatsoever to do with the study being read.

  • @MerulaMondlicht Most people don't understand that an emotion is a feeling that we create inside ourselves by the way we see, hear, smell, touch and feel the outside world via our own 'subjective' interpretation. Emotions are learned behaviours and because we can learn them we can with very little practice amplify or deminish any emotion we experience at will. This is something that I believe should be taught to children at a very young age. (P.S. men are just as bad as women)

  • This study seems to be a direct corollary to the ACE stuff, even though they're 15 years apart. I wonder how much of the data between the two can be meshed.

  • I wonder if Stef has read "The Biology of Love" by Arthur Janov, and if so, what he thought.

  • @tivla i've read primal scream and primal healing and both are great books. arthur janov is probably the only other person as ahead of his time as stef is at the moment. It would be cool to hear stef's take on janov

  • That is a hell of a title...

  • Please hug, kiss and love me!

  • Nice video, Pavlov's dog experiment proved a great deal about how we learn on an unconsious level. Repitition breeds familiarity, the more love we experience the more familiar we become of love, it becomes habbit. Family therapist Virginia Satir said "the will to survive is not the strongest human emotion, it is the desire for the familiar". Many people have been willing to die because a partner left them instead of adapting to a new life with new people, a life they don't know. Fear of unknown.

  • dusting off my "make love, not war" t shirt

  • @mike6459 Make love, and there will be no more war.

  • Outstanding video. I rarely comment vids, so I guess this appreciation has more value.

BTW. China, due to selective abortion, has 100 females for 120 males. And they're becoming each day more powerfull (technologically speaking). A dangerous future lies ahead.

  • you can have a child raised with plenty of affection still grow up to be a statist. If the violence is inherent in the system, people comprise the system. Violence IS natural in the animal kingdom and if you reject religion then we must be animals right? Can't have it both ways, im sorry. If you spend soo much time on religion, why don't you discuss lucifarianism or zionism since that is the religion of our owners?

  • romans 8:13 is actually pretty accurate the only mis conception is that you must deprive yourself of the basic needs of the physical which is bad. However the notion that one should steer away from the material to the spiritual is something buddhism also advocates its the whole notion of meditation. Meditation takes away attentnion to the surroundings and puts it on the inside and the physical "desolves" so to speak.

  • The "refrigerator mom" theory of the origin of autism has since 1975 come under heavy criticism and is no longer taken seriously by most scientists in the field. Modern behavioral geneticists conclude that there is a strong genetic basis for autism. This is not to say that the overarching thesis about human contact is necessarily wrong though.

Abrahams BS, Geschwind DH (2008). "Advances in autism genetics: on the threshold of a new neurobiology". Nat Rev Genet 9 (5): 341–55.

  • @TheEfkk

According to Peter Breggin the psychogenic theory of autism was abandoned due to pressure from parents organizations and not for scientific reasons. The official line is that it is caused by poorly understood genetic factors. Which means it runs in families but the genetics are poorly understood. You know what else runs in families?

    The way children are treated.

  • @FlailingJunk Studies on identical twins raised together and apart control for environmental factors such as the way children are treated. Basic behavioral genetics. The fact that we do not understand what gene regions does not in any way count as an argument against the fact that we know that there is a strong genetic component. This is because studies on identical twins is independent from molecular studies on genes. Separate "know that" and "know how".

  • @TheEfkk

    Citation please.

The only twin studies i am aware of for autism compare identical and fraternal twins not separated identical twins.

  • Very interesting. For some reason I always assumed alot of this information, it's nice to hear some validation of my assumptions though. Good video.

  • liked it

  • I nearly cried while watching this. It brought so much into light about how repressed I've been. I hope to watch something else as powerful as this and completely bawl my eyes out. Maybe then I'll be in touch with my emotions enough again that I'll be able to look for relationships with intimate and supportive people and gain a better understanding of what relationships are destructive in my life and then oust them if they don't improve. Thank you.

  • @slaughtz /me hugs slaughtz to help get things rolling :)

  • @slaughtz I cried when the first picture of the child soldiers came up

  • The wonderful things religion does to the human brain.

  • SMOKE WEED EVERYDAY! :)

  • and what the fuck are you going to do about it? lets privatize the police and fire department so they don't come when its not profitable! lets get rid of all social welfare, let business pollute as much as they like because regulations are violent? Disaster! your passion for privatization and greed smacks in the face of your passion for community and anti-abuse. In the age of the zeitgeist movement your like a dinosaur.

  • @meadowsirl

That's not what a Free Market society is about. A society based on the free market, means a society free from violence and co-ersion. It's based on people co-operating, and ex-changing goods and services, on a voluntary basis.

It's really the only two options we have: either we force people to co-operate, or we let people co-operate freely, voluntarily, based on their own preferences and will to grow.

  • @Zerafinel garbage, there is nothing more violent than asking someone who has nothing to trade for something they need. I don't see the market as a complete social system, I see it as a tool which is supposed to provide for a society and tools can be thrown out completely when they are not doing their job. Science alone can replace the market.

  • @meadowsirl ? We don't seem to have the same definition of violence. Either way, you seem to think that people would be forced to trade. Not so. Nothing is stopping me from sharing what I have with someone else in such a society, without any trade. That's what we do with close ones, or people without resources.

Also, if you want to create a place with no free market, where science provides for all, no problem. As long as all the people are there of their own free will.

  • wow very good video
