Scott is speaking straight from the soul here, and Peter knows it. If nothing else convinced him that Scott was telling the truth, that remark cemented it. Only someone who has been abused knows how keeping the pain and shame and secret of it locked up can feel like you're being suffocated.
Great acting all around! This episode stands out in my mind over all of them. Some say tv shows are not emotional enough to make them cry. But They never watch Higher Ground. Thanks for the upload of this episode. :~)

Parents don't want to believe that someone else that they care for would hurt their child like that, and yes Hayden is a good actor in Higher Ground, though it is hard for me to watch this and not think "hey that's Anakin!" lol

This was a really good episode. It shows what child molestation can really do to a child. Plus, it's nice to see a softer side of Shelby for once seeing as she has been a real bitch in the last few episodes.
