they are in chemical warfare suits with rubber boots, that's why some are having a job getting on the truck. it's called C Teilschutz, the equivalent in the US would be MOPP level 2.
are you serious?? 20 seconds for 36 recruits?? yeah right. My section gets in the truck (22 recruits) in just under 25 seconds while we are NOT wearing the harness and backpack, just the PD back pack and rifle...and our sergent chief says it is quite good.
These guys are wearing harness, NBC backpack, Helmet, and Rifle. For 36 of them, I think that 35-40 seconds is great!
@gipilot12 My too. I was in the NZ army. There is absolutely no way we are anywhere near the Swiss. Each man is a specialist. My friend was a tank killer. He said in training, he had personally blown up 180 old tanks. Another was a communications expert. He knew about enemy transmissions and had them decoded long before either the Germans or the Americans. Every Swiss has to go into training for around 3 years. During that time, they become world class experts in warfare.
@MarschNZ swiss people have a ground education of 18 or 21 weeks and all the rest are repetition courses where you just hang around and wait for the next coffee or the next beer
@zwelf12 I know. The Swiss are very good at underselling themselves. It is all part of the deception. I know a guy that was in the East German army. They were the same. I have trained with the NZ and US armies. From what I saw of the quality of Swiss soldiers, they training and men are definitely better in Switzerland.
@MarschNZ well what you may have seen are people who are motivatied. but these people are a fractional part of the several ten thousands of soldiers. i've been there, it was a nice time but no need to do this job for the rest of my life.
They have the perfect army. They don't get deployed to other parts of the world for nation building, and they are so huge in number that they have enjoyed centuries of nobody fucking with them. Their rifles are pretty much superior to the other crap floating around out there and they are a nation of riflemen, enjoying marksmanship as sport, so many of these guys are good shots (even if it takes them awhile to load up into a truck).
Wow, they climb into the back of trucks???!!! These guys are hardcore, we better not fuck with them...
