I watch alot of elf video for a so called makeup artist she should do more pro work. I seen normal everyday people do better video using elf items. Her work look sloppy and rushed
I really like this tutorial mainly because the model doesnt look perfect and isnt supposed to. I wish more big companies realized that perfection ist possible.
theres so many ppl commenting that "professionals" dont use fingers on clients, ut that really all up to the MUA and the client themselves! i had my makeup done for a tv interview by the TV station's MUAs and they used their hands for concealers and lip tint. i think its a personal preference and my MUAs were constantly wiping their hands on makeup wipes.. =/
using fingers on other part of client's face is fine if the client is ok with it. but i think using her finger to apply a product on a client's lips is unprofessional and unsterile. even if she sanitized her hands, cross-contamination is still present because she touched different products already.
You Shouldn't blame her for using her fingers to Blend Or help apply makeup, most Makeup artist rather use their fingers in most situations. Besides there this thing called hand sanitizers that most people, Especially MUA's use all the time when working on clients
damn that girl used A LOT of make up...i mean really, i get that there's a party, but power after powder is crazy. Looked almost like a desperate cry to sell more product. I love their stuff but don't try so hard. And yes, you shouldn't use ur fingers. Bacteria...gross.
FAIL. She should NEVER use her fingers to apply ANYTHING , I don't know why the model was okay with that, and Why did she use foundation and not e.l.f.'s lip primer or eye primer for the eyeshadow? Theres two and one base. I'm disappointed that this makeup artist is representing E.L.F. In videos. Love your products, loathe the makeup artist.
@kittieb0o uhh actually applying makeup with your fingers is good because it helps to warm up the product so that it blends more easily. Even Michelle Phan has recommended this method multiple times.
@sydneylbyo only in the case your hands and products are sanitized and the client is okay. In the video, it did not show or mention that. I found that warming up the product for easily blending makes no difference from when i buff on my foundation and concealer. Most MUA's shouldn't and don't do it because it looks unprofessional.
I think e.l.f.cosmetics should make brighter bold neon looking colors for people who like wilder and more funky looking makeup styles although i love all their products
i really like how achelle does make up. there have been other mua's on their videos and i really like her more than anyone else. shes simple but efficient in her techniques. ;) thats what we want.
i like how she showed tou how to do the look with all elf products and applicators. :) it shows you that even for a cheap price, with the perfect application you can get an amazing finish like with MAC. :)
The model looks great by the end, a less-intense look with plenty of glitzability. I don't like that Achelle uses her fingers and sponge eyeshadow applicators to apply the makeup. Looks unprofessional to a lot of people.
yeah, i had to email them 3 times. they told me it was lost in the mail... but then 2 days later i got it. i ordered 24 things. it is most likely because of my address.
guys leave elf alone.

You can use your fingers for a cream/mousse based product. I wouldn't want to use my brush anyway cz it doesn't look as good!
