  • How can I learn to play this? I recently got a Tin Whistle(Oak C), and I'd love to learn how to play this song. :D But, I've got no clue where to start...

  • nice work mr feeney from ya biggest fan sikandar :)

  • nice!

  • Living in Killavil. This is a party peice of mine for competitions. Great to hear it. Also look out for Fred Finn, Peter Horan and Michael Coleman who were all born in Killavil. Killavil isn't even a village. It has a church, Ceili House and a school.

  • hehehe nice try mr feeny, im jarrad not amber. nice guess though =P hehe, cya dude

  • wait ok, this is the brother of whos account this is...errkk haha

  • FEEENNNYYYY wad up. awsum

guess who? aka awsum tin flute playing, i see your tuning allthe ladies up above!

  • Amber... right? and you're not

I looked at the other clip. I don't know what the slow tune is but the fast one at the end is a fairly different (but good) version of the Killavil.

  • or maybe Wade??

  • oh 1 more thing, this movie is real crap but i was wundering if the song on it is the full version off killavil cuz killavil is 1 of its tags

  • Mr Mark Feeny, my favorite math teacher hehe.. funny thing is, iv had u for 3 years. can u guess who i am? mwa hahaha. heres another hint, im probably your least favorite in the class haha.. cya tomorrow Mr Feeny.

p.s this song will NEVER get old xD love it hehe

  • What key is that in?

  • It's on a B flat whistle so I think that makes it C Dorian for this tune.

  • What does C Dorian mean?

Does that mean its in C or Cm or something?

  • The dorian mode is common in Irish Music and it sounds like a minor key. For this tune the notes are as for b flat except the scale starts and finishes on the 2nd note of that key ie (C) A dorian is more common. This has the same notes as the key of G. A Dorian is A B C D E F# G A A Minor A B C D E F G A

I think this is right and hope it helps.

  • Lovely tune. When can i see you play. I would love to meet you.

  • Thanks for your kind words. Actually we have met.. in Ireland years ago. Remember.. then we got married...

  • is that you dear Mark? Fancy meeting you on the internet now !!!!
